How to update scss on host

I have made a wordpress theme with understrap and I have uploaded on a webhost and it works fine.
The issue is that I wanted to make some changes so I edit my scss file localy and when I uploaded it the changes weren't applied. Am I suppose to upload any other file in order to work?
Thank you in advance
I don't know if this will help anyone but in order to update website's scss on host you simply copy the css file which usually is in the css folder and you just upload it to the same folder.
The SCSS needs to be compiled into - and replace the existing - CSS files enqueued by your theme. To do this you can either, install a plugin that does that, or have it done by setting up css pre-processing in your local IDE/environment.
clear cache of your browser and close recent tab and try again. it just browser runnung with previous cache.

Compiled CSS file wouldn't display in my browser

I am new to laravel homestead. I am using a windows 10 for my learning and able to run npm watch-poll. The app.scss is compiled successfully and the app.css file is updated in the public directory but, it wouldn't display in my browser. I have included the CSS script in my blade template. Only when I restart my machine then the css is displayed. Any one can help please.
I do appreciate.
This is how i solved this problem in my own project:
delete your link tag containing href="app.css"
save file
paste the link tag again
save file
If the above doesn't work, try pressing ctrl+f5 to clear browser cache.

Activate downloaded Magento Tempelate in Localhost (xamp server)

i have downloaded theme in Magento CMS and now i want to preview this theme in Localhost xampp server. for that i have installed magento on local server.
but i dont know how to preview downloaded theme in xampp server.
WHAT I HAVE DONE.
i have copied app,js,media and skin folder to the folder in magento installation directory but nothing made. please tell me how i can solve this..
View page source to the admin page that you are looking for and view whether setup.js inside js/mage/adminhtml/wysiwyg/tinymice/ is loaded or not. This js file loads your wysiwyg editor on admin page.
This normally occurs due to mismatch on code. So, you can copy core magento js folder from fresh magento installation and overwrite to your working site.
Try once !!

Magento wysiwyg image uploader not working

I get the message "directory not writable" when trying to upload images into a normal cms page.
I have seen this before so I created a wysiwyg folder inside the media folder and chmod it to 777.
The images now upload but they dont appear in the wysiwyg folder on the backend. So I cant pick any images to inset into a page.
I tried copying the js folder from the original install folder, and it still doesn't work.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Check whether there is a folder named wysiwyg in media folder.
If no, then create /media/wysiwyg folder in magento installation folder and chmod 777.
If the problem still persists, then open the site in Firefox browser and activate firebug while opening the site.
Click on console and reload the page.
Now try to upload image. If there is some js error in console of browser, then download same version of magento you have, and replace the js folder from the download into your Magento installation and come back to minification later on.
Note: create a backup of your current js folder, just in case. Delete it once you have confirmed the fix works.

Product images not getting displayed both in frontend and backend

I have installed magento version 1.3.2.4. everything works fine except the image upload. Images are getting uploaded successfully and saved in temp folder, but not showing up in both backend and frontend. I cant see anything in small-image folder. Tried renaming htaccess in media folder and tried all the possible changes. flash version am using is 11.1. I would be glad if I can get any help on this.
There are a few thing which are worth a shot.
Is your caching enabled? If your admin -> system -> cache management
Have you cleared your cache? In the same place you can clear it out
Have you checked the image url using Firebug or view source? If your url is wrong then you might need to update it in the database, then clear your cache
