QueryDsl 5 with Mapstruct issues while generating resources - spring-boot

I am trying to use MapStruct alongside with QueryDsl,Spring Boot 3 and Java 17 but it seems like the maven-compiler-plugin I use for MapStruct prevents QueryDsl resources from being generated.
<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.querydsl</groupId>
<artifactId>querydsl-jpa</artifactId>
<version>5.0.0</version>
<classifier>jakarta</classifier>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.querydsl</groupId>
<artifactId>querydsl-apt</artifactId>
<version>5.0.0</version>
<classifier>jakarta</classifier>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<build>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.8.1</version>
<configuration>
<annotationProcessorPaths>
<path>
<groupId>org.mapstruct</groupId>
<artifactId>mapstruct-processor</artifactId>
<version>${org.mapstruct.version}</version>
</path>
</annotationProcessorPaths>
</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>
If I remove maven-compiler-plugin QueryDsl resources are getting generated but MapStruct's not.
I have also tried to add QueryDsl annotation processors without any luck.
<path>
<groupId>com.querydsl</groupId>
<artifactId>querydsl-apt</artifactId>
<version>5.0.0</version>
</path>
Any suggestions?

try to remove maven-compiler-plugin and leave only these dependencies:
<dependency>
<groupId>com.querydsl</groupId>
<artifactId>querydsl-apt</artifactId>
<version>${querydsl.version}</version>
<classifier>jakarta</classifier>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.querydsl</groupId>
<artifactId>querydsl-jpa</artifactId>
<version>${querydsl.version}</version>
<classifier>jakarta</classifier>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.mapstruct</groupId>
<artifactId>mapstruct</artifactId>
<version>1.5.3.Final</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.mapstruct</groupId>
<artifactId>mapstruct-processor</artifactId>
<version>1.5.3.Final</version>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>

As suggested by other comments one solution is to completely remove maven-compiler-plugin and add the following dependencies.
<dependency>
<groupId>com.querydsl</groupId>
<artifactId>querydsl-apt</artifactId>
<version>5.0.0</version>
<classifier>jakarta</classifier>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.querydsl</groupId>
<artifactId>querydsl-jpa</artifactId>
<version>5.0.0</version>
<classifier>jakarta</classifier>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.mapstruct</groupId>
<artifactId>mapstruct</artifactId>
<version>1.5.3.Final</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.mapstruct</groupId>
<artifactId>mapstruct-processor</artifactId>
<version>1.5.3.Final</version>
<scope>provided</scope>
</dependency>
This will generate both mapstruct and querydsl resources.
To force mapstruct generate the mappers as Spring beans I also had to set
componentModel = MappingConstants.ComponentModel.SPRING attribute in #Mapper annotation.

How can I reduced the maven Jar file size Currently 255 MB?

How can I reduce the Maven Executable Jar file size. Currently its 255 MB. It is not allowing to deploy in Cloudformation.
I am doing the deployment via cloudformation --> Lambda and API Getway.
If I can reduce the file from 255 MB, Then my problem will be solved.
I have seen from the JAR file, This below 2 dependency are taking 195 MB.
<dependency>

</dependency>
<dependency>

What I should to reduce it ?

<dependency>

I don't need all the dependency, I need only S3 and Lambda. So Have remove this dependency. It decrease my Jar file. 255 MB to 50 MB.

I have faced this issue today with spring 4.3.3-RELEASE, updating CXF to version 3.1.0 or higher will sort the problem.
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.cxf</groupId>
<artifactId>cxf-rt-frontend-jaxrs</artifactId>
<version>3.1.0</version>
</dependency>
The method getHeaderString is inside HttpHeadersImpl
As this issue reported here long back but It may help others if they are facing the same issue.
I got the same issue and resolved with this approach :-
Check in your application, there should be some other jars which has "HttpHeaders.getHeaderString". You can exclude those jar if you can, else change the jar declaration sequence in pom.xml. So that "cxf-rt-frontend-jaxrs" load first in class path.
I have faced this issue. The problem was fixed after updating Maven to the latest version.

ClassNotFoundException org.springframework.objenesis.ObjenesisException

`I'm trying to do basic configuration of Maven, Spring, Spring MVC, JPA with hibernate,c3p0, MySql and Jetty server once i start server I'm getting
ClassNotFoundException org.springframework.objenesis.ObjenesisException,
but I've also added "objenesis-1.2" dependency as i saw solution from net.

This is the Objenesis version that is embedded in Spring. So you don't need the actual Objenesis jar. Which is normally in spring-core.
In your case, I think you have an incompatibility between your spring jar. The easiest solution is probably to upgrade everything to the latest spring version.
Please make sure the jar is in the boot classpath of the server. This is usually the server's lib or endorsed directory, not your application's WEB-INF/lib directory.
See if that solves your problem.
Hope this helps!

NoSuchMethodError when trying to create a WebClient on Glassfish

I'm trying to create a HtmlUnit WebClient in order to parse an Ember app webpage inside a Java EE Servlet filter on a Glassfish server.
servlet code:
final WebClient webClient = new WebClient(); // causes error
HtmlPage page = webClient.getPage(originalUrl);

Apparently moving the HtmlUnit dependency to the bottom of the dependencies list fixed the issue. Like peeskillet mentioned, this isn't a complete fix, as we still don't know what caused the issue in the first place, but it works as a first solution. Please do answer if you find the culprit.
I have the same error but html unit is not the solution. I put the httpclient.jar to the top so the problem solved.
