Why is my security filter chain not working? - spring

I want to permit access to all of my pages and put authentication each page at a time, but I can't even permit access to all my pages. My SecurityConfig is as below (I got this peace of code at spring.io):
#Configuration
public class SecurityConfig {
#Bean
public SecurityFilterChain filterChain(HttpSecurity http) throws Exception {
http.authorizeHttpRequests((authz) -> authz
.requestMatchers("/*").permitAll()
);
return http.build();
}
#Bean
public PasswordEncoder passwordEncoder() {
return new BCryptPasswordEncoder();
}
}
Once I try to access any endpoint, I get a login screen:
I can't get it to work. Why is it asking authentication to all endpoints of my application? Shouldn't this be enough to permit access to everything?

With Spring Security, the sigle "all" is exprimed with "**".
#Bean
public SecurityFilterChain filterChain(HttpSecurity http) throws Exception {
http.authorizeHttpRequests(authorization -> authorization
.requestMatchers("/**").permitAll()
);
return http.build();
}
You may encounter another problem with
#SpringBootApplication
#ComponentScan(basePackageClasses = CartasController.class)
public class ServicesTcgApplication {
public static void main(String[] args) {
SpringApplication.run(ServicesTcgApplication.class, args);
}
}
Unless you know what you're doing, you should let spring handle the package scanning for you.
#SpringBootApplication
public class ServicesTcgApplication {
public static void main(String[] args) {
SpringApplication.run(ServicesTcgApplication.class, args);
}
}

H2 Console connection forbidden by spring security

So I'm developing an application with spring boot but I haven't been able to access my h2 console. I'm able to log in fine and get to the /h2 but I when I hit connect I get a 403. I'm not sure why this is happening.
I've seen been people here having trouble accessing the URL location for h2 (in this case it's /h2) but I have no problem accessing the login page for h2. In particular, I get a 403 Whitelabel page, so I'm assuming this has something to do with spring security. If anyone could give some advice I'd really appreciate it.
Here is my web security configure class:
import org.springframework.context.annotation.Configuration;
import org.springframework.security.config.annotation.web.builders.WebSecurity;
import org.springframework.security.config.annotation.web.configuration.EnableWebSecurity;
import org.springframework.security.config.annotation.web.configuration.WebSecurityConfigurerAdapter;
#Configuration
#EnableWebSecurity
public class WebSecurityConfig extends WebSecurityConfigurerAdapter {
#Override
public void configure(WebSecurity web) throws Exception {
web
.ignoring()
.antMatchers("/h2/**");
}
}
My main application class:
import com.example.demo.AppDevProjectApplication;
import com.example.entities.Director;
import com.example.entities.DirectorDao;
import org.slf4j.Logger;
import org.springframework.beans.factory.annotation.Autowired;
import org.springframework.boot.CommandLineRunner;
import org.springframework.boot.SpringApplication;
import org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.SpringBootApplication;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.ComponentScan;
import org.springframework.data.jpa.repository.config.EnableJpaRepositories;
#ComponentScan({"com.example"})
#EnableJpaRepositories
#SpringBootApplication
public class MainApp implements CommandLineRunner {
#Autowired
static DirectorDao directorDao;
public static void main(String[] args) {
SpringApplication.run(AppDevProjectApplication.class, args);
}
#Override
public void run(String... args) throws Exception {
}
}
And my pom.xml:

If only the access to /h2 should be public, try the following security config:
#Configuration

#Override
protected void configure(HttpSecurity http) throws Exception {
http
.authorizeRequests(authorize -> authorize.mvcMatchers("/h2/**").permitAll()
.anyRequest().authenticated());
}
}

spring boot 2 authorization server - all endpoints return 404

I have an application with an authorization server (OAuth2) which I migrated from Spring Boot 1.X to 2.X. Whenever I try to access any of the endpoint functions (e.g. /oauth/token or /oauth/token_key) it results in HTTP-404. The service itself is up which I can see in /actuator/health. It was working without problems with the old Spring Boot.
I already tried to enable all services but without success. I'm using Spring Boot 2, Resilience4J, and OAuth2.
This is my code:
AuthApplication
#SpringBootApplication
#EnableFeignClients
#EnableCircuitBreaker
#EnableAutoConfiguration
public class AuthApplication {
public static void main(String[] args) {
SpringApplication.run(AuthApplication.class, args);
}
}
AuthServerConfig
#Configuration
#EnableAuthorizationServer
public class AuthServerConfig extends AuthorizationServerConfigurerAdapter {
#Autowired
#Qualifier("authenticationManagerBean")
private AuthenticationManager authenticationManager;
#Autowired
private CustomUserDetailsService userDetailsService;
#Bean
public TokenStore tokenStore() {
return new InMemoryTokenStore();
}
#Bean
protected AuthorizationCodeServices authorizationCodeServices() {
return new InMemoryAuthorizationCodeServices();
}
#Bean
public OAuth2AccessDeniedHandler oauthAccessDeniedHandler() {
return new OAuth2AccessDeniedHandler();
}
#Override
public void configure(AuthorizationServerEndpointsConfigurer endpoints) throws Exception {
endpoints.authorizationCodeServices(authorizationCodeServices())
.authenticationManager(this.authenticationManager)
.tokenStore(this.tokenStore())
.userDetailsService(this.userDetailsService)
.approvalStoreDisabled();
}
#Override
public void configure(ClientDetailsServiceConfigurer clients) throws Exception {
clients.inMemory()
.withClient("acme").secret("acme")
.authorizedGrantTypes("authorization_code", "refresh_token", "password")
.scopes("openid", "request", "write", "read");
}
#Override
public void configure(AuthorizationServerSecurityConfigurer security) throws Exception {
security
.tokenKeyAccess("permitAll()");
}
}
SecurityConfiguration
#EnableWebSecurity
public class SecurityConfiguration extends WebSecurityConfigurerAdapter {
#Bean
#Override
public AuthenticationManager authenticationManagerBean() throws Exception {
return super.authenticationManagerBean();
}
#Autowired
private CustomUserDetailsService userDetailsService;
#Override
protected void configure(HttpSecurity http) throws Exception {
http.anonymous()
.and()
.authorizeRequests()
.anyRequest().permitAll()
.and().logout().permitAll().logoutSuccessUrl("/")
.and().httpBasic().disable().csrf().disable();
}
#Override
protected void configure(AuthenticationManagerBuilder auth) throws Exception {
auth
.userDetailsService(userDetailsService)
.passwordEncoder(this.passwordEncoder());
}
protected PasswordEncoder passwordEncoder() {
return NoOpPasswordEncoder.getInstance();
}
}
I also added this to the bootstrap.yml in the hope it would help, but it didn't:
management:
endpoints:
web:
exposure:
include: "*"
Why are non of the endpoints of the authorization server available?

Spring Oauth2 returns 401 Unauthorized error with spring boot 2.0

I am trying to implement SSO with spring oauth2. For the spring 1.5.x, it works fine. However once i upgrade the oauth server app to spring boot 2.2.3.RELEASE, i even cannot go to login form.
Going to "http://localhost:8082/" redirect "http://localhost:8080/sso-server/oauth/authorize?client_id=foo&redirect_uri=http://localhost:8082/login&response_type=code&state=9EOxmA" and returns error message
{
"error": "unauthorized",
"error_description": "Full authentication is required to access this resource"
}

In eclipse if I start spring boot application, then application serving images for this url
http://localhost:8080///////images//profile//APM1184//originalImage_7a7zke527_.jpeg
If I deploy war file of this project in local tomcat 8 and start. This URL is not working saying 404 not found.
I have posted my code. please correct me where I went wrong.
Having hard coded resource locations and mongo hosts is going to make it hard for you to manage your application. I would recommend moving those values into a configuration file. At the same time I would recommend using relative or root directory locations for resources instead of having the C:\ in the path as that won't work for deployments to Linux or other environments where the resource isn't on the C:\. My guess is that Tomcat isn't allowing the application to read from that external location due to some security constraints on the Tomcat installation.
I would recommend reading this Getting Started Guide on serving static content: https://spring.io/blog/2013/12/19/serving-static-web-content-with-spring-boot

Spring, Mustache Starter - translations

I try to configure my project to support internationalization.
I wrote simple configuration based on configuration for JSP that I used recently.
import org.springframework.context.MessageSource;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.Bean;
import org.springframework.context.annotation.Configuration;
import org.springframework.context.support.ReloadableResourceBundleMessageSource;
import org.springframework.core.env.Environment;
import org.springframework.web.servlet.LocaleResolver;
import org.springframework.web.servlet.config.annotation.InterceptorRegistry;
import org.springframework.web.servlet.config.annotation.ResourceHandlerRegistry;
import org.springframework.web.servlet.config.annotation.WebMvcConfigurerAdapter;
import org.springframework.web.servlet.i18n.CookieLocaleResolver;
import org.springframework.web.servlet.i18n.LocaleChangeInterceptor;
import org.springframework.web.servlet.view.mustache.java.LocalizationMessageInterceptor;
import javax.inject.Inject;
import java.util.Locale;
#Configuration
public class AppConfig extends WebMvcConfigurerAdapter {
#Inject
private Environment environment;
private static final String[] CLASSPATH_RESOURCE_LOCATIONS = new String[]{
"classpath:/resources/",
"classpath:/static/",
"classpath:/public/"
};
#Override
public void addResourceHandlers(ResourceHandlerRegistry registry) {
registry.addResourceHandler("/resources/**").addResourceLocations(CLASSPATH_RESOURCE_LOCATIONS);
}
/* Internationalization beans */
#Override

registry.addInterceptor(localeChangeInterceptor());
}
#Bean

localeChangeInterceptor.setParamName("language");
return localeChangeInterceptor;
}
#Bean(name = "localeResolver")
public LocaleResolver getLocaleResolver(){
CookieLocaleResolver localeResolver = new CookieLocaleResolver();
localeResolver.setDefaultLocale(new Locale(environment.getProperty("system.default.language")));
return localeResolver;
}
#Bean
public MessageSource messageSource() {

ret.setUseCodeAsDefaultMessage(true);
return ret;
}
#Bean

LocalizationMessageInterceptor lmi = new LocalizationMessageInterceptor();
lmi.setLocaleResolver(localeResolver);

}
}
In html files I cannot access translation values.
${app.name}
is not resolved,
{{app.name}}
causes an exception
No method or field with name 'app'
Translation files are placed under resources catalogue, default language is set:
system.default.language=en

Spring Boot 1.4.0.RELEASE
I did some unnecessary configuration. Short summarisation in 4 points.
AppConfig.java
#Configuration
public class AppConfig extends WebMvcConfigurerAdapter {
#Inject
private Environment environment;
#Inject
private MessageSource messageSource;
/* Internationalization beans */
#Override
public void addInterceptors(InterceptorRegistry registry) {
registry.addInterceptor(localeChangeInterceptor());
registry.addInterceptor(getLocalizationMessageInterceptor());
}
#Bean
public LocaleChangeInterceptor localeChangeInterceptor(){
LocaleChangeInterceptor localeChangeInterceptor = new LocaleChangeInterceptor();
localeChangeInterceptor.setParamName("language");
return localeChangeInterceptor;
}
#Bean(name = "localeResolver")
public LocaleResolver getLocaleResolver(){
CookieLocaleResolver localeResolver = new CookieLocaleResolver();
localeResolver.setDefaultLocale(new Locale(environment.getProperty("system.default.language")));
return localeResolver;
}
#Bean
public LocalizationMessageInterceptor getLocalizationMessageInterceptor() {
LocalizationMessageInterceptor lmi = new LocalizationMessageInterceptor();
lmi.setLocaleResolver(getLocaleResolver());
lmi.setMessageSource(messageSource);
return lmi;
}
}
As #M. Deinum said MessageSource and resource configuration is done by starters so we don't need it.
pom.xml
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-mustache</artifactId>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.github.sps.mustache</groupId>
<artifactId>mustache-spring-view</artifactId>
<version>1.3</version>
</dependency>
mustache-spring-view is needed because of org.springframework.web.servlet.view.mustache.jmustache.LocalizationMessageInterceptor.
message.properties
For default locale (en) file message.properties is required.
For different locale file message_LOCALE.properties is used.
Those files should be placed under resources/.
HTML files
Message values can be accessed in HTML file with notation
{{#i18n}}message-key{{/i18n}}
