To all:
I am trying to update a form input radio button(s) using simplemodal to display the div containing the radio buttons.
It displays correctly however when the modal is closed the change is lost.
is their a simple call back that can update my form?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Bob
Bob,
What exactly are you trying to do? By default, SimpleModal does not maintain form state. You can try adding the persist:true option to the modal, but there are still some issues with certain browsers.

I'm having a stressful issue with Oracle Apex. After pressing submit on a button (which is set to submit page) I would like validations to occur and then after that a message to appear as text into a display only text field. So when the page submits and "refreshes" the fields are cleared and the display only field := 'successful addition' or whatever. However, the page submits successfully but the after submit process to add the text into the display only field doesn't work. Do you guys know a way around this?
One aproach is to set the source of your DISPLAY_ONLY item to be your TEXT_FIELD item.
For more sophisticated solutions you can use Branch or Process.
For example: my TEXT_FIELD is named: P10_SOURCE
Thank you, all.
I've solved it by altering the sequence of validations and processes.
I'm trying to complete a happy path e-commerce payment test but I cant seem to click on the nested element for credit card to be honest I'm not entirely sure which is the clickable element.
Any help to get this working would be appreciated.
When inputting forms, you typically want to interact with input and select elements. In this case, you can see that the visible input field is a radio button - ie <input type="radio">.
You access radio buttons using the radio method and select it by using the set method:
browser.radio(id: 'cc-payment').set
The element you want to click is the input with type radio. You should be able to do something like:
driver.find_element(:css, "input[id='cc-payment'][value='creditCard']").click
I'm curious if clicking on the parent item would resolve.
#browser.input(id: 'cc-payment').parent.click
If the div registers the click and sets the input then this might work. You should be able to manually verify this beahviour by clicking outside of the radial and seeing if it selects.
I am new in JSF, facing a problem while executing GET AJAX request.
I have a icon with a counter (number), once I will do mouse over to the icon it shows a kind of small popup with small list (3 items), kind of same behavior as we have in Social networking sites (Notification icon). Till here All good. Now in my pop up at bottom side, I added a text says "Show more". This should get 3 more items/ notification from the DB via Ajax call and add the response in the popup (without closing the popup), then in total there should be 6 items.
I am not sure how exactly I can achieve this, Please help.
Using <h:outputText value="show more}"> in my xhtml.
In my bean I have a method to getMoreNotification().
Recently I tried with <p:remoteCommand>, but not sure how I can add responce/ data in popup.
Thanks in advance.
Not that difficult
Create a list which is initially populated with 3 items
Create a <p:overlay> with IN that <p:overlay> e.g. a <p:dataList> that shows these list mentioned in 1. Give this component an id, e.g. 'notifications'
When clicking on the 'show more' commandLink, execute the getMoreNotification() via an actionListener and IN that method update the list mentioned in 1. Also make sure you have an update attribute that contains the value of the <p:dataList>.
I want to use Dropzone.js into a form with more than one inputs but it's not working properly. It's only working with a single form but not with more than one inputs in a single form. Is there any code which can help me...
Did you read this link? >> https://github.com/enyo/dropzone/wiki/Upload-all-files-with-a-button
It's a dropzone.js' tutorial explaing how to get all your form submit when you click submit button.
I'm new to django, and I'm working on a quiz project. The idea is to create something similar to this (http://www.stylemint.com/quiz). Basically, there will be a question on each page and the user clicks on an image with the answer. I was planning on using a django form with a radio select input type, however, I'd like the image to act as the radio button (ie, be clickable) and also a click on the image will take you to the next question (instead of having to click submit after each). Is this possible with django, or do I need java?
it's perfectly possible - if you just want a series of images, and clicking on them to take you to the next question you might achieve that by:
Having multiple input fields of type "image" which all submit the form. If you go down that route you'll have to template the forms out yourself or make your own widget.
Using javascript to replace radio buttons with images dynamically. If you do that, it'd be a good idea to make it fall back to a straight list selection for people who don't have javascript.
Ignoring forms altogether and just using a view with a parameter of what the choice is.
Yes, it's completely possible. My suggestion is if you want to save the result in the db use model and model form in django. So, my next suggestion is you can customize model field for combine radio button functionality and image together. But actually you must programming and use a little jquery and javascript to do it.
