I have a very simple silverlight xaml page displays textbox and a button.
When i run my application on IE6 it works fine. But for IE7 IE8 and FF3 - it does not display any content. The page is rendering blank.
<div style="height: 100%; width:100%;">
<asp:Silverlight ID="Xaml1" runat="server" Source="~/ClientBin/test.xap" MinimumVersion="2.0.31005.0"
Width="100%" Height="100%" HtmlAccess="Enabled" />
</div>
Does anyone has any idea what silverlight content is not rendering ?
I found an answer...! Just keeping the question / answer on StackOverflow so others can find the answer for similer question :
IE7 IE8 and FF3 does not accept value 100% as height or width or SL2 object. Change Height and Width to px value (for ex 800px) and that will solve the problem.
Thanks

I have a table cell that includes an image that should be 50% of the cell's width.
The code works in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, but in IE11 instead of taking on 50% of the cell's width, large images just take on 50% of their native size.
Here is a fiddle using a 800px wide image. Works fine except in IE11, where the image displays as 400px wide instead of responsive:
https://jsfiddle.net/43Tesseracts/9knqerj7/4/
Here is the relevant html with bootstrap:
<td>
<img src="http://hdwallpaperbackgrounds.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Images-2.jpg"
style="max-width:50%;"
>
The image beside me should appear 50% of the cell, not 50% of it's native size. WOorks in Chrome, FF, Edge, but NOT IE 11
</td>
There appear to be many similar issues on SE, but they are all much older, or use an older version of Bootstrap. I'm using Bootstrap 3.3.7
there is no need for extra div's. you can set the following css property on the table element:
table{
table-layout: fixed;
}
i updated your fiddle with a working example:
https://jsfiddle.net/9knqerj7/10/
(in addition, i changed the img to be a block element and float left, but that is not required for the responsiveness - just looks better IMHO)
You could solve this issue using divs like i did here:
<td>
<div style="display: flex;">
<div style="width: 50%">
<img src="http://hdwallpaperbackgrounds.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Images-2.jpg" style="width: 100%">
</div>
<div style="width: 50%">
THe image beside me should appear 50% of the cell, not 50% of it's native size. WOorks in Chrome, FF, Edge, but NOT IE 11
</div>
</div>
</td>
Working solution: https://jsfiddle.net/9knqerj7/8/
I am using a responsive image slider which I am trying to put inside a colorbox however firstly when the colorbox pops up, it opens a blank tiny content box, I want the image slider to appear within the colorbox. The content opens up fine in the colorbox live on my site so can't understand why I can't replicate this in the fiddle.
Secondly, it seems that colorbox doesn't adapt it's size as the browser window is shrunk, is this something that can be changed? I tried setting max-height and max-width in colorbox.js to 100% but that doesn't make any difference.
I have spent most of yesterday trying to sort this but had no luck so far so any help you could give would be appreciated.
The HTML:
<a class="colorbox-link fade_hov" href="#port1">Click to open colorbox</a>
<div style="display: none;">
<div id="port1">
<div>
<div id='ninja-slider'>
<ul>
<li><div data-image="http://www.yourdesignpartner.co.uk/dev/wp-content/themes/colorroom/ninja-slider/img/md/1.jpg"></div></li>
<li><div data-image="http://www.yourdesignpartner.co.uk/dev/wp-content/themes/colorroom/ninja-slider/img/md/2.jpg"></div></li>
<li><div data-image="http://www.yourdesignpartner.co.uk/dev/wp-content/themes/colorroom/ninja-slider/img/md/3.jpg"></div></li>
<li><div data-image="http://www.yourdesignpartner.co.uk/dev/wp-content/themes/colorroom/ninja-slider/img/md/4.jpg"></div></li>
<li><div data-image="http://www.yourdesignpartner.co.uk/dev/wp-content/themes/colorroom/ninja-slider/img/md/5.jpg"></div></li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
The CSS and JS is linked to externally in this Fiddle THIS FIDDLE Here is the fiddle without the colorbox which, as you can see, is responsive.
So I just need a way of being able to click a link which opens up the slider in a popup window, if there are any other options or perhaps a mobile responsive lightbox available please let me know.
Used fancybox instead of colorbox which it seems is fully responsive to mobile so problem solved.
I'm building a page that has links on the left of the screen that target an iframe. They work just fine in the new IE, but not at all in FireFox. I've played around with their Z-index, but can't seem to get them to be recognized in FireFox. They don't just not work, but the mouse cursor doesn't even show that they are links on hover. The address for the page I'm working on is at the address below.
http://www.snoscoot.com/fcaccessories/hondapowerequipment/test.html
An example of the code for one of the buttons is as follows:
<A HREF="http://www.snoscoot.com//fcaccessories/hondapowerequipment/subcompacttractorpartsandinformation.html" TARGET="productdisplay"><IMG SRC="http://www.snoscoot.com/fcaccessories/hondapowerequipment/hondatractorparts150px.jpg" border="0">
<font size="3" color="black" face="Arial">Subcompact tractor parts</font></a>
The code I have for the targeted iFrame is as follows:
<IFRAME
SRC="http://www.snoscoot.com/fcaccessories/hondapowerequipment/compacttractorpartsandinformation.html"
NAME="productdisplay"
WIDTH=700 HEIGHT=1622
frameBorder="0"
scrolling="no">
</IFRAME>
Would anyone have some advice as to how to get the links to function in FireFox? I can't seem to figure out why they work in IE, but not in FF.
Thanks
Your iframe inside the <div id="dropdown"> is 1500px tall by 950px wide and hence covers up most of the rest of the page. In particular it's sitting above those links, so they can't be clicked.
Are you sure you want it to be 1500px tall?
first of all here is the link to jsfiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/HotFrost/RnNX3/6/
you can see that in chrome the graph layout inside the svg element, panned and zoomed ok. Whereas for IE (v9.0) it totally disregards the borders.
basically for this simple layout:
<div id="wrapper">
<div id="content-col"> graph
<div id="graphwidget_graphContainer" style="border: 4px solid purple;" ></div>
</div>
<div id="right-col"> menu </div>
</div>
IE and Chrome render graph differently.
I have tried to use different settings for width/height/remove them. I have tried to replace the divs with table cells.. Still same problem - in IE graph nodes are rendered above the svg element and then (when panned/zoomed) also go over the svg element borders.
Anyone can give some ideas how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

I have a record set that is quite wide (about 25-30 cols)...does MVC3 WebGrid support horizontal scrollbars (or can I house the grid in a html tag/control)?
Never realised about the WebGrid, so had to play with it to help on this one.
Basically, if you put the webgrid inside a div with an overflow set, then it seems to work fine.
I tested it on mine with the following code (I just shrank the test div to simulate small screen/many rows (was to lazy to create loads of col/properties, lol.
<div class="test" style="overflow: scroll; width: 150px">
<div style="width: 1000px">
#grid.GetHtml()
</div>
</div>
