I use newest sIFR version. It works on some browsers and does not on other. Flash version doesn't seem to matter, and on one computer it works on IE8 but won't go with FF3.
The thing is that if it fails to work it just displays nothing, no regular text/typefaces, just an empty space.

Do you have any clues?
you might want to test if your flash player is correctly installed

I need your help my website is not functioning properly on firefox browser but in edge, chrome and opera and safari it works only firefox is not functioning properly
Firefox Browser

I would recommend setting up all your projects in Xampp or something similar first before testing it. If you are going to upload to a server you need to replicate the environment locally before you decide whether it is going to work or not. It seems complicated but it is quite simple, you can find out more here. https://www.apachefriends.org/
That said, check your urls, they are not the same for your two different screens, the one is referencing an anchor tag.
I'm developing a web app and want to make sure that it runs as intended on all major browsers. I've downloaded Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari and IE to test the app, but I want to make sure it works fine on previous versions of these browsers too.
I know I can download previous versions of Opera from here, and in IE I can select 'Browser Mode' from Developer Tools section.
Is there any way I can test my app on previous version of Chrome, FF and Safari?
I've never really had a problem with something not working in an older version of these browsers. The only compatibility checks I do are with older versions of IE. The reason is that a new version of IE changes a lot but the others come out with new versions so frequently and have automatic updating (you don't even notice it in Chrome) that not only is there (probably) not a significant change to the rendering engine from one version to the next, (pretty much) everyone using it is on the latest version anyway.
That being said, there are some websites that show you screenshots of how a page looks in various browsers.
Browser Shots comes to mind.

I have a very wierd problem and I dont know where to begin to fix it. I have tried my website on 8 computers using IE9 and for 2 of them the page doesnt show the correctly. I found out that when I take out the dropshadowextender it looks ok. So what I did is first try to go in cleared out all cookies, etc.. and then went into advanced settings to compare the ones that were working to the ones that were not, but that didnt work. I tried the site on all machines using FireFox on all computers and they work fine. My problem is what could it be causing those 2 computers to not show up correctly. I could see if it showed up wrong when I ran the site on all computers.
CSS3 Pie is a .htc file that, when placed on your server, provides extra code for IE so it can render many CSS3 styles on IE9, 8 and 7 properly.
Works well. Worth checking out.
We have a lot of AJAX in our pages. Mostly it's been in our internal systems, so we haven't tested it with a lot of browsers. But at the moment we're developing a major feature, that will use AJAX, for our customers and we testing it more thoroughly. One of the tests have been in IE9 running IE7 mode, which worked just fine. But when we took a machine running a real IE7 browser, we discovered that AJAX only works once on any of our pages. It seems that after a part of the page is re-rendered with ajax, all javascript events in the part of the HTML that was re-rendered stops working. It's impossible to get even a javascript alert() box to appear.
Since we only have one machine with IE7, we would like to know if anyone can verify that this is a real problem, and not just a problem with this one machine of ours?
And if it is a real problem, what did you do to fix it? 10 % of our users still use IE7, so cutting that browser just isn't a workable solution.
UPDATE / SOLVED:
We decided to get a new server and set it up with Windows XP. Even though we don't support it, we tested it in IE6 and it worked. Then we installed IE7 and it worked too. Guess our old test server is all messed up some how. So all works in IE7 after all.
Thank you for the suggestions all.
Personally I intend to forget about older browsers, but I usually use the jQuery library for my AJAX requests since I usually use jQuery anyway for specific animations etc.
jQuery supports these browsers:
Firefox 3.6, 5.0.x, 6.0.x
Internet Explorer 6+
Safari 5.0.x Opera Current - 1
version Chrome Current - 1 version
source
Because jQuery AJAX is very much part of the jQuery library as anything else, I assume that the jQuery AJAX is supported by these browsers as well.
jQuery AJAX API
AJAX calls are cached in IE. Use "cache: false" in the ajax call options.
Is there anyway to target chrome on windows? I'm looking to do this because of the difference in border-radius rendering. Chrome on osx seems to work fine, only problematic in Chrome on Windows. Thanks.
If you really, really have to do this, I recommend this CSS Browser Selector script:

Of course, you'll have to update your site when the browser issue gets fixed. :p
