Not able to connect to TFS Server from TFS Proxy - proxy

In our office we have setup TFS for project development. The TFS Server is WIN 2003 server SP2 with VSTFS 2008 and is running fine. Now we need to setup a TFS Proxy server on client site for client to access. Before going for the client setup, I wanted to build and test proxy in our office on a dummy server (will call it Proxy server hereon) by keeping it on a different domain. OS configuration of the Proxy server is the same as TFS server. I have installed and configured TFS proxy on Proxy server to connect to TFS Server. Also we have built trust between the two different domains to enable communication. Now problem is that I am not able to at all connect to TFS server. I am trying to connect from Internet Explorer of proxy server using proxy service account. It gives me error: The page cannot be displayed. HTTP 500 - Internal server error. The page I was browsing was http://tfs:8080/VersionControl/v1.0/ProxyStatistics.asmx.
I think I have done all the required steps correctly to configure proxy as described in MSDN and also TFS installation guide. Here Proxy service account is a member of ‘Team Foundation Valid Users’ group. I am able to connect to TFS Server (specifying port) using Telnet from command prompt on proxy server as suggested by few sites. The TFS server web sites have been configured to use Integration Windows Authentication. Event Logs on both the servers are also not giving any error. Overall I’m not able to get it done.
Any ideas on what might be the problem???

I think the port number for accessing the proxy server is 8081.
I also do not know why you need to install the proxy server on the the client side. You only need the VS200x on the client side I assume but check on

TF15013: The requested Team Foundation Server is not registered with the proxy server

But when i am taking get latest of any team project and second time taking the get latest of same team project at different machine but files are downloading Main server and giving below warning.
TF15013: The requested Team Foundation Server is not registered with the proxy server.
Can Anyone help me out how to resolve this issue & make fast get latest.
Thanks,
You can try to use the proxy command to configure your client to use a proxy server: see Proxy Command
eg :
c:\projects>tf proxy /add http://server:8081 /default:global /collection:http://tfsserver:8080/
If that still not work, recommend you to reconfigure the Proxy, you must use service accounts to install Team Foundation Server, and Team Foundation Server Proxy. These service accounts become the identity for the installed component.
By default, every component uses a built-in account (such as Network Service) as its service account.Built-in accounts do not use passwords and already have the Log on as a service permission, making them easier to manage, especially in a domain environment. See requirements.
After that you can reference below link to configure the TFS proxy to work with Your TFS:
https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/buckh/2016/10/12/how-to-configure-a-tfs-proxy-to-work-with-team-services/
Update:
TFS 2013 is Xaml build system, double chick the definition will pop up the definition to edit. TFS 2017 is vNext build system, it will redirect to web client build progress page. That's by design, not related to the source settings.
And as far as I know, there isn't the utility or third part tools can open the vNext build definition in VS directly, vNext build definition is task independent, you can edit it conveniently via web portal.

Does the BizTalk 2013 R2 SharePoint adapter support HTTPS?

I'm looking into a potential integration solution that would use BizTalk 2013 R2 to interact with a SharePoint Online using the Client Side Object Model. However, I want to keep security in mind and so I'm trying to verify that the WSS adapter supports HTTPS. I can't find anywhere in the documentation that states this explicitly, and it will take some effort before I'm capable of testing it out.
Is it sufficient to simply use an https URL with port 443 to configure the WSS adapter to use HTTPS?
What Is the Windows SharePoint Services Adapter?
Permissions to Windows SharePoint Services files, lists, and document libraries are restricted using Windows SharePoint Services security. The messages are sent from Windows SharePoint Services directly into BizTalk Server. The communication between the adapter runtime and the Web service is done over HTTP or HTTPS.
The adapter assumes that the BTSharePointAdapterWS Web service is using the same HTTP scheme (HTTP or HTTPS) as the Windows SharePoint Services site. This means that the adapter will use HTTPS to communicate with the BTSSharePointAdapterWS Web service when the Windows SharePoint Services Site is created on a secure IIS Web site, or it will use HTTP to communicate with the BTSharePointAdapterWS Web service when the Windows SharePoint Services site is created on an IIS Web site without a server certificate.
(Bolding added for emphasis).
Configure the SharePoint Site URL to have https:// and you should not have to specify the port.

Get ESRI maps in Microstrategy Desktop behind a proxy

I´m running Microstrategy Desktop v. 10.5.0 on Windows 10 and I´m trying to build a few maps. I´m behind a HTTP proxy in the format
http_proxy=http://<user>:<password>#proxy.mycorp.com:8080
https_proxy=http://<user>:<password>#proxy.mycorp.com:8080
and every time I try to start a map I get the message
Unable to download the ESRI map. No Internet connection. You can configure an Internet proxy through you computer´s Settings.
The internet works for all other programs with the same proxy and the ESRI CDN links also work directly on the browser behind the proxy. If I connect to a network outside my work connection and disable the proxy the maps work. Is there a way to make Microstrategy Desktop work behind a proxy?
Can you please look into the following link, You have to check with your network admins and request them to unblock some websites and ports.
https://community.microstrategy.com/t5/Clients-Interfaces/Sporadic-issues-with-ESRI-maps-in-Desktop-10-with-proxy-setting/td-p/248444
We faced the same issue, and we requested our network admin team to do the following :
For simpicity, you could open below configuration in the firewall:
Ports 443 , 80 and 6080
*.arcgis.com, *.esri.com and *.arcgisonline.com
Starting with MicroStrategy Analytics Enterprise 9.4.1 Hotfix 6 and in MicroStrategy 10.X, users are able to configure MicroStrategy Web to send HTTP request to ESRI via internal proxy servers. The following provides the details
Un-authenticated proxy :
If the proxy server does not require authentication, user can go to Web Administration security page and configure the following settigs
Go to Web Administration --> Security Page.
Check "Enable HTTP proxy server"
Fill out the Server address and Server port
enter image description here
Authenticated proxy server
It the proxy server requires authentication , User will need to add in the esriconfig.xml file located under plugins\ConnectorForESRIMap\WEB-INF\xml\config (see sample below).
Note: Restart the web server after this change
<ec> <apps clientToken="true"> <key><![CDATA[------]]></key></apps></ec>

How to Run Remote Debugger As Server with No Authentication

I managed to get remote debugging working on our Windows Server 2008 R2 Server running some ASP.Net WebSites manually (not as a service)
However, I want to run it as a service and I can't figure out how to set it for no authentication as a service or how to specify what users have access to connect to it.
Does anyone know if it has a manual config file somewhere I can modify in notepad, or something of that nature?

How to connect TFS through Internet

I am working on a large application in team environment. We use to Team Foundation Server to control source code with VS2010.We are using LAN to connect TFS which works great in an small office but now we need to connect TFS through Internet.
What actually I want to know that we have many developers they reside in different location worldwide. We want to download there work directly in the TFS server through Internet like LAN. We will have also connect LAN users who work on this application and want to connect both kind of users parallel.
Note: WE DON'T WANT TO USE VPN.
Is there any possibility to do this kind of work in TFS? Any Help will be appreciated.
You can definately expose TFS over the internet. TFS is basically a set of web services hosted in IIS, just make your server internet-visible and you're set.
There are some security best practices you probably want to consider though:
1) You should configure an SSL cert in IIS and connect to TFS using HTTPS (an option when connecting in VS).
2) You should place your SQL Server database on a separate machine that is not directly exposed to the internet (but is visible to the Application Tier server). SSRS should reside on the AT server, the DB and SSAS should be on the Data Tier server.
