Could you recommend an image carousel? - user-interface

I have a .NET 2.0 web project. I need a simple image carousel. What I would prefer is the main image on the top, and a scrolling bar with smaller images on the bottom. When the user hovers over or clicks the smaller image, it would populate the larger image space.
If you know of anything like this, even 3rd party paid controls, please recommend them.

How to change the size (resolution) of one pageview in Spotfire

I saw a viz in the company's repository, and I wish to replicate one of the feature.
The viz is consist of several pages with an introductory page. The introductory page contained a lot of information with a scrollable canvas, while other detail page had a fixed-to-window way of presenting data, showing each segment in one screen without the overall scroll bar.
What I want to know is how to only make one or part of the pages in the dxp file able to enable the scroll bar (larger canvas height), while the rest having the fit-to screen way of displaying the viz. Any approach will be appreciated.
PS:
The Document Property→General→Visualization area size→Custom size method changes the canvas size of all visualization table. Which is not able to fulfill this feature, as this property changes the canvas size of all pages in the dxp file, which is not what I expected.
sounds like they used a Text Area but it's hard to tell without seeing the document.
you can insert a Text Area the same way you do a visualization (via the toolbar or the main menu). you can then right click the Text Area to edit it either with the WYSIWYG editor or in raw HTML. Text Areas will show scrollbars to match the length of your content.

Best way to represent list with image(using url) in Xamarin.Forms?

I want to create List View. In this List View, I will have following fields.
StackPanel
1- Image with 300 x 400 size
2- Text-Label Controls
1 Screen will hardly cover 1 and Half ViewCell.
Images will have ImageURL. I want to load image smoothly. I also want to make smooth scroll up/down with image appearing.
Can anybody please suggest me which control I should use?
If List View, which CacheStrategy I should use?
Note: For one of such functionality, I had used List View with default CacheStrategy. In that, I just faced 1 major problem of image appearing. When page initialize first time, it show image properly. But as soon as I scroll down or scroll up, image disappear or misplace. In that case, I had suffered a lot and removed image finally.
Please suggest appropriate way for above functionality.

For the listview, you should definitely use RecycleElement as the CachingStrategy. See here https://developer.xamarin.com/api/type/Xamarin.Forms.ListViewCachingStrategy/#Remarks
And because the images are URLs, you can use FFImageLoading. It will fade-in the image after it is downloaded (as opposed to appearing instantly after downloaded), and you can even specify a placeholder image to use while the image is being downloaded.

Xamarin.Forms. Is there any way to split the Screen into 2 different pages (CarouselPage & Page)

Hello I am trying to get a Page in Xamarin.Forms with a swappable "boxView" in the middle. Pretty much the same that the carouselPage does, but not in the whole screen but just a small rectangle inside my main Page.
Is that possible??
Not out of the box I'd say since it is a Carousel*Page*. Said that you can still implement it by yourself (using a Custom Renderer, View, etc.).

J2ME setting textfield over a background image

I am new to J2ME. I just want to know how to put a textfield over a background image. I tried canvas but I can only set the background image and don't know how to add a textfield above the background image. Please help me.
APPROACH I: Using high level api's like Screen, Item, etc
It is NOT feasible in Java ME (CLDC) using high level api's like screens, items, etc are laid out on the display with default device styling and without the extensive layout support like Swing.
APPROACH II: Using low level api's like Canvas
To use the low level api's you need to create custom components like in J4ME. In their you layout the Canvas and paint the components on the top. So in your case you can render the image of the size of Canvas and then render the components on top of it.
NOTE: Please keep in mind this a very tedious and not so rewarding process.
APPROACH III: Use third party library

Grow Images on Hover like Google Images

Hey everyone, I am trying to accomplish something with images growing on hover like the fancy grow mouseover effect on google images.
Here is what I have:

The tooltip is offset and is based on the walter zorn tooltip. What's the best way to have the mouseover popup grow out just like google images (with the text), instead of following the mouse?
(I still need it done with the same tooltip - maybe overwrite it, but it must be present to pass the text and image, it's just the positioning and display method of it that I need help creating, any samples would be appreciated)
