Does a gmail terminal chat client exist or anyway one can write it?

It is a command line client which you can configure to use gtalk.

Just out of curiosity, I wonder if Avast uses flash on your GUI, or other component.
It would be uncommon to build a desktop application in Flash. Typically it's C++/.NET and the WinAPI.

This maybe some ridiculous, but sometimes I need to work on server and there was no X interface. How to use Google and its search results in Unix-like terminal?

I was wondering if there are any plans to use Mozilla Firefox sync in Mozilla Thunderbird?
It would be nice if I can sync my mail profile as easy as date in Firefox.
