Google Instant is a new search enhancement that shows results as you type. On the information page for Google Instant, it says "15 new technologies contribute to Google Instant functionality." What are they?
Not sure about the 15 new technologies, but see this How does Google Instant work?

I see that the API exists for the old sites https://developers.google.com/sites product but that does not work for the new version of sites. Is there any guidance on what's the best way to programmatically access the content from the newer version of sites?
One idea I had was just downloading the content by issues a GET request but not sure if there's a way to programmatically authenticate for that.
As DownloadPizza said, the Google New Sites API is not available yet. More information:

Does Google offer any sort of API etc for Google News. Either for free or paid. I know that the previous version was deprecated. It should be used for commercial use so I guess I can not use their RSS feeds.
I know that Bing offer paid API, but they have far less news sources.
Google and Yahoo doesn't offer the search APIs anymore. Bing is your choice if you're considering the 3 search giants. You can also take a look at news aggregators with APIs. If you can't find one API that suits the number of sources you need, then use more APIs. That should increase your coverage.
I'm trying to set up a first-time project in the Google Spectrum Database API, but it's not showing as an option in the API list.
I read these instructions, and did the following :
Go to the Google Cloud Console.
Select a project.
In the sidebar on the left, select APIs & auth.
In the displayed list of APIs, make sure the Google Spectrum Database API status is set to ON. (Google Spectrum Database not showing)
I'm simply trying to set up a project for testing purposes, not commercial.
Any thoughts or guidance is greatly appreciated.
This has just been updated. I asked what's up here: https://support.google.com/spectrumdatabase/contact/spectrum_feedback
and they replied with:
It may have not shown up earlier today, but please take another look. The "Google Spectrum Database API" should be visible in the (long) list of APIs by now.
If you have further questions, please ask in the the support group (https://groups.google.com/d/forum/google-spectrum-db-discuss) linked from the getting started page: https://developers.google.com/spectrum/paws/gettingstarted#questions
Sincerely,
The Google Spectrum Database Team
I checked and it is indeed there now. Hope this helps.
All!
I wanted to develop a feature for a blog I wrote myself. I want to grab the search result of Google Images, and display them in a user-friendly way in or beside my blog's posts editor.
So I did some research on code.google.com
I found Google's official AJAX API for Google images. But on its documentation site it says something like this:
Important: The Google Image Search API
has been officially deprecated as of
May 26, 2011. It will continue to work
as per our deprecation policy, but the
number of requests you may make per
day may be limited
I know they can restrict the number of requests I can make by my API key.But..
Can anyone tell me how exactly is this API restricted? like how much traffic or requests is allowed?
Is it possible to use this API to develop a Wordpress plugin that everyone else can use?
Does anyone know if there is an official or unofficial API for Google 3D warehouse. I know of the iPhone app NaviCAD, which shows Collada models from Google Warehouse - it has search, most-viewed, most-recent functionality; so I guess it is using some sort of API to get that data. But I couldn't find any auch api after searching around. Do you know if there is any?
I think you are out of luck; from Google Sketchup API Blog:
Removed Client Warehouse SDK from the package. If you need support
on this please post your contact info to the SDK support group.
