I'm trying to print C# code from Visual Studio 2010 to a Konica BizHub Color Printer. Only the line numbers are printing in color. Does anyone know if there is some Visual Studio setting or plug-in to allow the text of the code to be printed in color?
There is a free extension available now, that puts back in color printing. Not all 2008 'features' are supported, but you get color:

It's impossible to do from VS2010 without 3rd party tools. They cut in from production due to time constraints.
There are some tools such as this that have a workaround though

I have just starting learning how to make games in Unity, using Visual Studio as the Script Editor, I see other people have their Code colour coded and it also has auto completion.
I've followed some tutorials online but nothing has worked for me.

To add auto-completion you have to add the unity visual studio package. To add this package please type in your windows search field: "Visual Studio Installer" and then click at the visual studio version the button "change". After that, a new window opens in this window click the field with the unity package and then install this package. Now you have auto-completion in Visual Studio.

The Color Coding of Code can be found on the Tools>Options>Environment>Fonts and Colors. For example, you want to change the color for the Operators (+, -, /, *, etc.), you would need to find it in the Display items List and edit (found on the Right Side of the Display Items) the color of the foreground (the text itself), it's background or whether it is displayed in bold or not.
I believe that auto completion or IntelliSense is on by default as for what I have Experienced in switching from MonoDevelop to Visual Studio 2017.
Actually, i think you're looking at a popular visual studio plugin called Resharper;

It also has a Unity3D plugin (for resharper) which adds full support. That's were the coloring and extra intellisense comes from.

Every time I type an emmet string and press tab visual studio replaces it with just the main element. Then i realized it was preferning the the snippet that it was auto suggesting. Is there a way around this or fix it? I am using Visual Studio 2013 Community edition on windows 7 64bit if that makes any difference
I found the problem, I was using another plugin called Viasafora that colors braces and makes it easier to to see your indentations it had a default option for showing completions ans you type. I had to go turn it off.
Visual Studio has a word wrap feature, but frustratingly it ignores line indents, making the text hard to read. Other text editors (Notepad++, Sublime Text) simulate the indentation of wrapped lines, making code easier to read

See in Notepad++, 'of beer' is wrapped appearing in line with Console
Where as in Visual Studio, 'bottles of beer' juts out into the indentation, making the code shape hard to read.
Good news: In Visual Studio 2013, word wrap properly respects indents!

My website has several nested folders and sometimes long file names, so sometimes only 4 tabs can be opened at a time.
Can vs2010 be made to show only file names and leave out any path information?
Can the max displayed length for tabs be set?
I know the window can be split so top and bottom both have their own tabs.

Try installing the "Visual Studio 2010 Pro Power Tools" extension from the Extension Manager in VS. It adds a new section to the standard option dialogue that allows you to customise what they call the "Document Tab Well."
It doesn't let you truncate the filename, but you can change the way they draw and scroll, which might be enough to help.
It does allow more tabs at a time, but it severly shortens the amount of file name you see. So while it allows editing more files, you won't know what file you are editing.
For now I'm using the trial version of Tab Studio

I have been using this excellent extension for VS2010 that solve your problems: Visual Studio 2010 Pro Power Tools.
It is a bundle of several extensions, but the most notable for you is the Document Well 2010 Plus. It allows you to configure the document tabs: to be the constant width, colour-coded by project, pinned, etc...
You can toggle the extensions that you do not want by editing the manifest file in:
~\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\Extensions\Microsoft\Visual Studio 2010 Pro Power Tools\
#IanBoyd: I agree, it doesn't solve the problem 100% however it helps (which is why most of the answers to this question suggest it). With the Visual Studio 2010 Pro Power Tools add-on you can a) set the maximum tab width using one tab options, b) setup some colour categorizing rules to help differentiate between projects/file types.
In VS2010, my workflow relies upon several add-ons and keyboard shortcuts to manage my workspace; for example I use CTRL + Tab to switch between active documents, use the pin-tab feature and colour coding from Power Pro Tools, the open solution file dialog from Visual Assist X, and re-open last edited file from Resharper.

I am using a Visual Studio project with custom build script/batch file (ala make, ant, etc.).
When the build is run from the command line we have placed colored highlighting on various output lines.
However, when built via Visual Studio (2005 in my case) the output window does not show the color anymore.
Is this possible? I am quite happy to put specific code into the build script if required.
If you don't want to go with the pro version of the VSCommands plug-in, there is a free one called VSColorOutput, which does just that. I've worked with it a bit, does what it says.

The VSCommands plug-in for Visual Studio 2010 adds colour formatting to the output window so errors are red. I'm not sure how they are doing it but it might give you a starting point.
The problem isn't with your build scripts, but with Visual Studio not supporting ANSI control codes to change the color.
