jqGrid tree grid with pager - jqgrid

How do we make a tree grid with pager using jqGrid?
I have checked and try the demos, but it didn't show any pager, even though there is a pager div in the code
How do create the pager ?

Tree grid has some limitations which are documented:
Pager functionality currently disabled
for treeGrid
In other place of the documentation you can read almost the same:
Since jqGrid currently does not
support paging, when we have a
treegrid the pager elements are
disabled automatically.

I got pagination to work by modifying the setTreeGrid function. I commented out the following line:
$t.p.pgbuttons = false;$t.p.pginput = false;
The buttons then appeared and the requests were going back to the server to request the information. Now for this I was loading the entire tree to a local variable then using setJSONData to load the data into the tree. It functions the way I would expect it to but I haven't thoroughly tested it.
For RowList
$t.p.multiselect = false;$t.p.rowList = [10,15,20,30];

Try change d.p.pgbuttons = !1; to d.p.pgbuttons = !0; AND d.p.pginput = !1; to d.p.pginput = !0; AND d.p.rowList = []; to d.p.rowList = [10,50,100]; in block setTreeGrid: function () {...}

According to "New functional for treeGrid" Vyacheslav N. Boyko added this feature to jqGrid.And there is a open issue that demands to apply this feature to jqGrid.

Update grid state in Angular-Slickgrid after grid creation

What is the best way to set a saved grid state after the angular-slickgrid has already been created? The Grid State/Presets - Wiki explains setting the saved state on load by setting the gridOptions.presets. In my case, I would like to update the grid state when the underlying saved state has changed in local storage (perhaps saved from another instantiation of the app), and apply the state to the current slickgrid. If I update the gridOptions.presets, is there a method I can call to force the grid to update with the new presets?
Please note that I'm the author of Angular-Slickgrid.
The answer is No it's called Presets for a reason, it only works when creating the grid...but you can still do it with a few method calls. So if you really wanted to use the Grid State then you'll have to save it yourself and then reload the entire grid after applying all previous State. The Grid State that can be applied dynamically are the Filters and Sorting which you can see in Example 4 and Example 25 (with a button click or a dropdown selection like the last example). I did later add a method to change the columns as well and that one is demoed under this Slickgrid-Universal Example 11, in fact that demo will show you exactly the way you want to do it, you can follow the code here.
for a short code sample, you'll need to get the angularGrid instance from (onAngularGridCreated) and then use it to dynamically change the grid. It shows you all the options, you can skip any of them if you don't need or want to change that option.
angularGridReady(angularGrid: AngularGridInstance) {
this.angularGrid = angularGrid;
}
// the `selectedView` should be the result of your Grid State
changeGridView(selectedView: GridState) {
if (selectedView) {
const columns = selectedView?.columns ?? [];
const filters = selectedView?.filters ?? [];
const sorters = selectedView?.sorters ?? [];
this.angularGrid.filterService.updateFilters(filters as CurrentFilter[]);
this.angularGrid.sortService.updateSorting(sorters as CurrentSorter[]);
this.angularGrid.gridStateService.changeColumnsArrangement(columns);
// if you have a frozen grid (pinning)
this.angularGrid.gridService.setPinning(pinning);
} else {
// to reset the grid
this.angularGrid.filterService.clearFilters();
this.angularGrid.sortService.clearSorting(); this.angularGrid.gridStateService.changeColumnsArrangement([...this.columnDefinitions].map(col => ({ columnId: `${col.id}` })));
// if you have a frozen grid (pinning)
this.angularGrid.gridService.clearPinning();
}
// you might want to scroll back to top of the grid if filters are changed
this.angularGrid.slickGrid.scrollColumnIntoView(0);
}
You might not need to re-render the grid but in case the grid UI doesn't show correctly, you could force a re-render of the grid by invalidating all its rows
this.angularGrid.slickGrid.invalidate();

How to change Laravel crudbooster datamodal to a select2

The below code works and I can create a measurement modal that displays the kgs, grams etc but was wondering if there is a way to do it as a dropdown select2 instead as the list is quite short. the two I've tried below show just the label but no select2 box. Any ideas? regards
$columns = [];
$columns[] = ['label'=>'Quantity','name'=>'quantity','type'=>'number','required'=>true];
$columns[] = ['label'=>'Measure','name'=>'measures_id','type'=>'select2','datatable'=>'measures,measure'];
$columns[] = ['label'=>'Measure2','name'=>'measures_id','type'=>'select2','validation'=>'required|integer|min:0','width'=>'col-sm-5','datatable'=>'measures,measure'];
// $columns[] = ['label'=>'Measure','name'=>'measures_id','type'=>'datamodal','datamodal_table'=>'measures','datamodal_columns'=>'measure','datamodal_select_to'=>'measure:measure','required'=>true];
Found how to do it by changing select2 to select.Not sure what the difference is.
From:
$columns[] = ['label'=>'Measure','name'=>'measures_id','type'=>'select2','datatable'=>'measures,measure'];
to:
$columns[] = ['label'=>'Measure','name'=>'measures_id','type'=>'select','datatable'=>'measures,measure'];
That's correct. Since I cannot comment I'll suggest you the difference by adding an aswer.
The difference is:
Select : Standard HTML element, rendered by the browser and working according to its own code.
Select2: Select2 is a jQuery library that "improves" your select elements by adding HTML code to render options and adding functions. For example, you may add a search box to filter your options, or you can style the dropdown better.
Library url : select2.org

Access html-element from grid in loadComplete

So what I'm trying to accomplish is when the grid is fully loaded, I loop over a certain column that contains checkboxes. Depending on the value of the checkbox I should be able to disable it.
Problem is that I can't access the html element that's there. Am i doing something wrong or overlooking something?
What i've tried:
loadComplete: function() {
// Fetch all the ID's of the rows
var rows = $("#table").getDataIDs();
// Loop over the rows
if(rows.length != 0){
for(i=0; i < rows.length; i++) {
// Get the data so we test on a certain condition
var row = $("#table").jqGrid("getRowData", rows[i]);
if (row.gridCheckbox == 1) {
//disable the element
row.prop("disabled", "disabled");
}
}
}
}
It's important to understand that changing one element on the page follow in the most cases to web browser reflow: validation whether some property (position for example) need be changed in all other elements on the page. If you do changes in the loop then your JavaScript code can be really slow.
Thus it's strictly recommended to reduce the number of changes of the DOM. Especially to reduce the number of changes jqGrid provides rowattr, cellattr and custom formatters. If you need for example to set disabled attribute on some rows then you should now do this in loadComplete, but to use rowattr instead to inform jqGrid that some additional attributes (disabled="disabled") should be set on some rows. jqGrid collect first the string representation of the whole table body and it use one assignment of innerHTML to fill the whole body of the grid in one DOM operation. It improves essentially the performance. See code example in the old answer.

jqgrid: How to format master/detail grids?

I have a jqgrid with a subgrid.
I am attempting to apply different colors to master and detail grids. I have two rules: the first one is to alternate odd and pair colors and the other one is to apply specific CSS to the row, based on values of a specific field.
Both master & details grid, contains the following gridComplete functions, where obviously childnodes index varies cause tables contains different fields:
gridComplete: function () {
var _rows = $(".jqgrow");
for (var i = 0; i < _rows.length; i++) {
_rows[i].attributes["class"].value += " " + _rows[i].childNodes[4].textContent;
_rows[i].attributes["class"].value += " " + _rows[i].childNodes[4].innerText;
}
applyZebra("jqTicketgrid");
}
applyZebra function provides to alternate odd/pair colours and has already been tested on another grid which not contains a subgrid.
For the record, I found above solutions in other solved questions of this forum, and both works with "simple" jqgrids (not master/detail).
PROBLEM
The master grid is formatted only when I click to expand the detail rows, while detail subgrid never alternate colours, neither apply format based on cell contents...
Where I am wrong? Pheraps I must intercept another event which is not gridComplete? Otherwise with grid&subgrids it's impossible to use _rows[x] & childNodes[y] attributes?
Please ask for clarifications, if needed, thx.
Thanks in advance!
I suppose the error in your code is that you use $(".jqgrow") instead of $(".jqgrow", this) where this inside of gridComplete will be either DOM element of the <table> of the grid or the subgid (I suppose you use grid as subgrid).
Additionally I would not recommend you to use you current code at all. It's much more effective and simple to to use cellattr. The rawObject parameter allow you access all other cells of the current row. In the answer you will find an example of implementation.

jqGrid cell editing need to position the error message dialog

I'm using jqGrid with cell editing. I have setup the colModel properties using the editrules option. Everything works fine in that if I edit a cell and try to save an invalid value the grid displays an error dialog, but I need to know how to position the error message dialog that comes up because in the case of my layout it ends up behind a video. I'm not quite sure how to hook into this and there don't seem to be any obvious options on how to do it.
In this case the dialog I would be trying to manipulate is the one with ID of info_dialog.
Also I'm using the clientArray option for cellsubmit.
I realize this is rather old but upon searching I didn't find any indication this might have been added since, so I figured now that I've figured it out I'd let everyone know how I solved the positioning of mine.
$(document).ready(function ()
{
$.jgrid.jqModal = $.extend($.jgrid.jqModal || {}, {
beforeOpen: centerInfoDialog
});
});
function centerInfoDialog()
{
var $infoDlg = $("#info_dialog");
var $parentDiv = $infoDlg.parent();
var dlgWidth = $infoDlg.width();
var parentWidth = $parentDiv.width();
$infoDlg[0].style.left = Math.round((parentWidth - dlgWidth) / 2) + "px";
}
From what I could find in the jqGrid source code, you can add a beforeOpen and an afterOpen. In my case I'd rather position the thing before it's displayed (duh!). Would be nice if there was a parameter to hook it up in the grid declaration, but this does the trick in the mean time.
I hope this helps someone! I spent most of my afternoon on this!
Default value of zIndex parameter of info_dialog is 1000. The function info_dialog from grid.common.js part of jqGrid will be called from grid.celledit.js without usage a 4-th parameter which can change the option.
So the best pragmatical way which I could recomend you is to decrease zIndex value of your div with the video so that it will be less then 1000.
