Install Microsoft Exchange in a machine running windows 7 x64? - exchange-server

Can I and if not what is the best mail server can do that with machine running windows 7 x64

Whilst you can't install Exchange onto the Windows 7 PC itself, your could run a Virtual PC off it with the appropriate server O/S running.
If you want an alternative mail server, try VPOP3. In order to use IMAP clients from it you would require the Professional version.

Install Windows 7 on Google Cloud

Im totally new to Google Cloud. I got free uses for some time from google.
I want to setup a lab. So I want to install Windows 7 on Google Cloud.
Thanks
The image for Windows 7 is not available, you can create a custom image, upload it and then create an instance with that image, but honestly I would not follow this path if you have just started and you want only to run a Windows server.
So, if you don't really need Windows 7 for some reason and you want to run a Windows virtual machine the easiest thing to do is to create an instance using one of the available images:
Windows Server version 1709 Core for Containers (Beta)
Windows Server version 1709 Core
Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Server 2012 R2 Core
Windows Server 2012 R2
Windows Server 2016 Core
Windows Server 2016
In order to do so go to the Console, enter in Compute Engine, VM instances, click on create instance, at this point from the tab that will be opened select the Windows image that you prefer and set up the machine as you like. Wait some minute and you will be able to connect to it through RDP.
Note that there is a Quickstart guide in order to help you in the process.

Not able to log back into my Windows machine after Hyper-v installation

I have a Windows 10 machine. Recently I have installed Hyper-V 2016 server on my machine. From then whenever I start my system I only see a blue screen with various commands. I do not see any other thing other than that. Now how can I go back to my normal Windows machine?
See this image for reference:
you had Windows 10 installed on your machine now you have Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2016.
I assume you downloaded an ISO and installed that one. Whereas within Windows 10 you only have to activated a feature called Hyper-V.
Grap your latest Backups and install Windows 10 back onto your machine.

How can i open .vhdx using windows 7?

I have Windows 7 running on my machine, and other hand I have virtual hard disk file(.vhdx), which is creates using Windows 8. So as I know found,
Hyper-V isn't available on Windows 7 client SKUs, like Enterprise. It's only available on Windows Server 2008 x64 (some SKUs), Windows Server 2008 R2 (most SKUs), Windows 8 Professional x64, Windows 8 Enterprise x64, and Windows Server 2012 (again, most SKUs).
You've just installed the management tools which allow you to manage a remote instance of Hyper-V.
Is this correct ? If yes then is there any way i can open this .Vhdx in any other Softwares on Windows7 . Or how can I use it ?
I found below blog on "How to Restore VHD File backup" but looking for alternative way?
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/how-to-restore-vhd-file-backup/f3ed3ca5-3079-40cd-a959-835caeba80a7
Thank you
Royally late ... but I had the same problem and ended up implementing it in my software.
To answer your question
is there any way i can open this .Vhdx in any other Softwares on Windows7
You can use IsoBuster to open the *.vhdx files and extract files from the image file to your Windows 7 PC. ( download: www.isobuster.com/ )
I hope this helps ?

Is it possible to run the Windows Phone 7.1 emulator in an Amazon EC2 instance?

Background:
My firm has a new client who has asked us to build a Windows Phone 7.1 app. Our team wants to leverage Amazon's EC2 instances to set up our CI servers to avoid the need to have to requisition and acquire hardware for the project. We will need a Windows build agent to build the Windows Phone app.
Problem:
Setting up the Windows build agent is proving difficult. To build the Windows Phone app, we need the WP 7.1 SDK installed, however it is not supported on Windows Server and officially requires Windows Vista or Windows 7. With a workaround by Aaron Stebner I can get the SDK installed, but the Windows Phone emulator doesn't work. We can compile and run unit tests, but functional tests are not possible without the emulator.
Is it possible to enable to Windows Phone emulator to work on Windows
Server 2008 or 2008 R2?
Is it possible to create a Windows Vista or
Windows 7 instance on EC2?
You can't create Windows vista or Windows 7 on EC2. One solution will be to use Virtualbox inside an Ubuntu instance but I don't think it will work because EC2 already use an hypervisor ...
Maybe you can find an other cloud provider or buy a VPS.

Cassini with Windows 7 XP Mode

Is there a way to access the Cassini local web server from Windows 7's XP mode?
I'm developing on the Windows 7 host machine using Cassini, but would like to test in IE6 running inside the Windows XP guest.
If you are trying to access the Cassini server in the XP VM from within your Windows 7 host, then I don't believe so.
https://serverfault.com/questions/82899/can-i-access-cassini-from-a-remote-machine
If you have to access your website from your Host machine from within a VM, your best bet is to host it in IIS on the XP machine.
Or, if you're trying to access the site from within the XP Mode on your Windows 7 host O/S, you should spin up IIS on the Windows 7 machine and access it from XP - I think this is more what you are asking.
I just released the CassiniDev 3.5.1/4.0.1 beta with a simple test fixture example if you are interested.
Full support for any IP.
