jQuery loading spinner for loading all element loads completely - jquery-plugins

In Gmail log in, after click submit the log in form, we will see a progress bar until all of the html and javascript of google mail page loads completely.
How to make it with jquery? Thanks

A quick Google search got me a couple of hits. But I think QueryLoader looks pretty neat. It lets you preload the whole page or parts of it.
To quote the author:
This preloader has it all. Loading bar, custom animations and getting all images included in the web page.
I hope it was kind of you were looking for.

How to make the Wordpress admin-bar work with AJAX loading

I'm working on a website that uses html5's push- and popstate in combination with ajax-calls to create a website that dynamically loads in Wordpress posts and pages, without causing a page refresh.
I've got that working fine, but I would love it if the black Wordpress toolbar/adminbar that shows at the top of the site when you're logged in as an admin, also reflected the change of content. Is there any way at all to make this happen? So that when I go from a post to page, for example, the "edit" link in the admin bar updates.
I don't think it's as easy as I hope it is, and if it can't be worked out I think I'll just disable the adminbar on the front-end. But it could be that I'm missing something.
Thanks in advance!
I'm working on this myself. I'm gonna build an ajax action and jquery function to do this. I will post here when it's done. For NOW i've instructed my users to just refresh to get the edit link. if you're using HTML5 history then you're on the permalink you want anyways. refresh and let the server regenerate the bar. not perfect but not terrible.
another option is to put edit post links in your template.

Confusing WP page load with AJAX

My site is http://armandwho.com/site
I'm using the Adv. Ajax Page Loader Plugin in order to keep my background vid & music uninterrupted while browsing.
I'm having trouble with the "LOOK" page. When navigating to it from the homepage (1st link), the gallery doesn't load at all. However, when you refresh or go directly to the page URL it works.
Within the plugin, there is an area for jQuery reload codes, which I think will load the needed scripts that don't get loaded when using the nav.
Can anyone make sense of what script I might need to "reload" to get my gallery working with this Ajax plugin?
Help is supremely appreciated!
Joe
I loved the music, so I decided to look into the problem a bit.
I stepped through the code for the plugin as it tried to load the page and came across this line:
//Nothing like good old pure JavaScript...
document.getElementById(AAPL_content).innerHTML = output;
..which is a problem because the javascript in the script tags isn't going to be run. You could change it to:
//Nothing like good old pure JavaScript...
jQuery(document.getElementById(AAPL_content)).html(output);
..and jQuery will handle the dirty work.

Ajax Website does not load Google-Maps correctly

I use an ajax plugin (smartAjax) for my website and on one of my pages, I have google map. All is working perfect without using ajax but as soon as I use google map in combination with ajax, google map does not load correctly anymore.
You can view here:
http://mark-i-mark.com/lab/eys/public/ajax1.html
All looks great but when clicking on "SCHEDULES & FEES" in the top menu and then clicking on "OUR CONCEPT", which suppose to bring you back to the map, the map does not appear anymore. If you refresh the page, you can see a short flash of it but it does not load correctly.
This is about the address, as shown in the address bar because if you delete the last part (#ajax1.html), the map appears correctly.
Does anybody have any idea what I may do wrong? I am happy about any suggestions.
cheers ;-)

how does facebook opens short popups for photos and other short messages and remains on same page

While using facebook, when we click on some links, a small box appears in front of us initially showing LOADING and then loads the content e.g. photos, show more etc.
Are they using AJAX to do so!
Please help me in this.
Thanx in advance...!
You might get the same effect using AJAX.

External HTML page, inside AJAX Iframe?

Hi Masters Of Web Development.
I have a not that simple question this time. I have got a simple external HTML page, that I want to include in my site. The HTML page contains a submit form or something like that, and I wish to send this data from the form, without to reload the whole page. So I decided to put HTML page inside iframe. But, some people said that this is older technology, google doesn't like iframes, etc. So I want to use something like AJAX or JQuery to load that external HTML page, and to send submit form without reloading the whole page with it. :)
Any suggestions on how to make this?
Thanks in advance :)
Do you really need Google to index that iframe form? If that's the only iframe you have throughout the site, it aint going to be a problem in terms of google indexing.
About using the Iframe, if you are not comfortable learning and building ajax-type form, you'll still be fine (like what Frankie commented). Just make sure the form works, usable and compatible with popular browsers.
You want to use the jQuery Forms Plugin. Its very straightforward and easy to turn any normal HTML form into an AJAX form.
