I was wondering: does an AIR ActiveX Control exist? I want to load an SWF movie inside a Flash ActiveX controller, but the movie was created using Adobe Air and therefore it cannot load some of its dependencies.
I've seen an Air to .EXE wrapper somewhere around the internet, so I think it is possible somehow.
Any clues on this?
Thanks in advance!

I've hit a bit of a stump on the road to my goal of creating a screen saver. Before I began this project I did research and everyone urged me to create the screen saver using flash.. in which I did. Now I face the issue of converting it to an SCR (screen saver format for windows) . Now I've done my research and downloaded Instantstorm only to be disappointed by it's lack of 64-bit support and/or Multi-monitor support (Scaled mirroring across screens if resolution of main screen is different from other screens).
Can anyone tell me what is the proper way of creating an animated screen saver from scratch (or from the flash file I created preferably) which is fully compatible with 64-bit and has the ability to display the screen saver on multiple monitors.
Since it's a flash app you may be able to run it through a browser/as a web page. See this post for additional info:
webpage as a screensaver windows 7 and XP?
When I create screensavers, I do it through java, and then use launch4j to convert it to a .exe file. I then rename that .exe file .scr.
If you have issues renaming the file, go to control panel>folder options and uncheck "hide extensions for known file types". You can then rename the file.
P.S. If you are able to create a .exe file with flash, then you can just rename it from .exe to .scr as the extenstion.
I tried finding information on the web, but could not, so I was wondering if anyone has some information:
We have made a Flash animation
We have embedded it in a PowerPoint slide
Everything is working on our side
I just want to make sure before I send it to the client that it will work if someone has no Shockwave plugin installed? In other words, does PowerPoint include the "Codec" to view the item when the PowerPoint file is generated?
I tried uninstalling my Shockwave, but for some reason I am unable to, so I am not sure how to test this.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks!

If the playback computer doesn't have the correct plug-in, it won't be able to play the Flash animation. Flash playback doesn't use CODECs in the same sense that WMVs and other movie formats do.
developers.
I'm using mediaelements.js plugin for displaying video on a site, I'm developing. So the problem is that when I open the url with Firefox 3.6 on Mac with MACOS, QuickTime player is show inside the mejs player:

If anybody can tell me why is that happening, I'll be very happy.
Thanks in advance,

It doesnt look like the MEJS is even getting fired. did you instantiate MediaElementPlayer?
I created a low-fidelity prototype for an app for WP7. This was done in Expression Blend + Sketchflow using Sketchflow WP7 template from http://wp7sketchflow.codeplex.com/
While this worked out fine, I now need to test the prototype - I guess the best way to do so would be to run it on an actual device. Is there a way to (easily!) move the whole thing to WP7 project, build it and deploy to WP7 device?
I want to avoid having to test the prototype on a PC with a mouse...
Thx for any tips
Unfortunately Pol is right, I tried it as well and there is still no way for WP7 prototypes. However if you have a WPF prototype you can convert it to a normal app:
https://www.intertech.com/Blog/post/Packaging-a-SketchFlow-Prototype-%28and-moving-to-production%29.aspx
Maybe this is helpful for someone who doesn't do a phone application.
No, sorry. However I think you can use SketchFlow player on PC and avoid testing with mouse if you have touch monitor.
I am trying to make a simple application which will store the sound said by user , say on click of record button and will play it back to him/her , say on click of play button.
Can anyone suggest me some appropriate way to do this ??
Thanks,
Miraaj
You can use QuickTime Kit's capture APIs to record a movie of the audio, and QTMovie (from the same framework) to convert it to a more conventional format for audio files and to play back both the intermediate file and the converted file.
There used to be a QuickTime Kit Programming Guide, but it didn't cover capturing and is now gone from developer.apple.com. You should file a bug against the docs.
This answer will work in a Cocoa (Mac) app. If you meant to ask about the iPhone, you should re-tag your question, as the solution will be completely different for a Cocoa app vs. a Cocoa Touch (iPhone) app.
I used direct sound to create an entire internet phone application a few years ago. Your question is far simpler, you won't have to deal with the circular buffer as critically. Direct sound is pretty main stream and you can find a lot of help with it in forums, and it's free!
