VS2010, column width of watch window - visual-studio-2010

I can't see values of variables in my Watch window. I can see the variable names. I believe it's because the column width for variable name column is very wide. This problem exists for all watch windows. Quick Watch and Local shows values fine.
I tried reset the settings using Tools->Import and Export Settings but to no effect.
Any ideas apart from a reinstall of VS2010?

Did you try to resize them yourself by dragging the tickmark (the line that seperates each two column header), or double clicking it so that it would auto size? It might be hard to see it, if someone pushed it all the way to the right, but trust that it's there :)

Setting ENABLED to property_false for combo box list item does not alter the prompt foreground color

Using Oracle Form Builder 10.1.2.3.0, I have a List Item of type Combo Box with a Prompt and next to it in the same Block is a CheckBox.
When I disable these two items with
SET_ITEM_PROPERTY('block.item', ENABLED, PROPERTY_FALSE);
the CheckBox and its prompt go gray but the prompt portion of the List Item does not change. This makes the form and its developer look ridiculous.
Is this a bug?
To accomplish what I want I have to execute these when the List Item's enablement changes:
set_item_property('block.item', foreground_color, 'r150g150b150')
set_item_property('block.item', foreground_color, 'r70g70b70')
And these are just guesses because the color meter app is not perfect.
Half of the problem would "go away" if I could use a visual attribute but the form builder app complains about the "gray" color not being named.
Surely there is a better solution. Maybe playing with the LAF? But I have yet to figure out LAF customization.
I would not expect the prompt to change, but the edit area where text is entered will change. There is one exception. If running with colorScheme SWAN or BLAF the text edit are will always remain white unless you explicitly change the color. This is expected behavior.
If you are using SWAN or BLAF, which EBS does, by setting readOnlyBackground=true you can cause the edit area to go from white to a non-white color (the exact color will depend on the colorscheme in use). Because this parameter is not in the config by default it would need to be added manually and also added to the html template file.

RStudio, how to change the width of the variables field?

Is it possible in RStudio to change the width of the field with the names of the variables? I often have variables with long names that are not fully shown. Of course, I could simply make the whole window larger, but then the editor window gets smaller, which I don't want it to.
It's currently not possible
Further informations on the RStudio Support page: Environment-pane-cutting-off-variable-names
The official comment is:
Unfortunately this is currently not possible but its something we're looking into implementing going forward. In the meantime, hovering over the variable names in the Environment pane should bring up a tooltip that states the full name of the variable - hopefully that will be helpful to you for this purpose.

Current line text font size gets increased while typing in Xcode

While I am typing on a specific line in workspace, the text present in the particular line's font is getting increased ! And it gets to regular size as soon as I stop typing.
I also upgraded to XCode 8.2 still the same issue occurs.
FYI:
I have also tried the following code to reset the XCode default settings, but still no use.
defaults delete com.apple.dt.Xcode
Solution:
This happens when you change font size for one particular element but the other editor's elements are using the previous/default font size.
If you want to change the font size either press cmd + or in preferences -> Fonts and Colors choose your theme and in the right pane select all the elements (press cmd a) and then change the font size.
See this SO answer
I had a similar problem but I am not sure is exactly the same.
Did you try to change this settings?
Xcode preferences > Fonts & Colors Your chosen theme will have a
"current line" option just under the font. Can't remember exactly but
I think you can find something there.

Annoying terminal bug, is this known and a solution is out there?

I use the default terminal.app
I use cmd+d command to split panes so I can look at the part of the code while using another command.
This annoying bug comes up when de-splitting the panes.
What it does is that it basically reduces the vertical length of the terminal, so that after de-split, terminal is not filling my screen vertically.
Is there any solution to this?
Any true solution is going to have to depend on a bug fix. But this works for me:
Set the window default size in Preferences/Profiles/Window.
Assign a shortcut key to Window/Return to Default Size.
You could also use the inspector that you get with Shell -> Show Inspector.

Is it possible to make the Ctrl-Tab source file switching window (IDE Navigator) in Visual Studio have wider columns?

Some of my source files have long file names and when I press Ctrl-Tab or Shift-Ctrl-Tab, the filenames that are displayed in the Active Files column of the IDE Navigator get truncated (and replaced by an ellipsis) after the 23rd-24th character and become indistinguishable. I am wondering if there is a config file or registry setting somewhere for making the columns in the IDE Navigator wider so that larger file names can fit in the columnar display.
I wouldn't mind making the entire Navigator window larger as well, if it has a max width. When it pops up, I am not interested in seeing the code underneath it, just the filenames of the files that I am about to switch to through consecutive presses of (Shift-)-Ctrl-Tab. I know there is a secret registry entry for showing thumbnails in the Navigator, but I am wondering if there is some control over column width as well.
Thanks for any help.
