Getting the following on any build running on CC.NET V1.6 on a server.
I have made sure the user running the CC.NET Service is a member of the Administrators group on the server.... So why am I getting this error?
Error Message: System.ArgumentException: Access to the path is denied.

DavieDave: they have a bug report on their site saying this was fixed in 1.6. Somehow magically this is working now.
Me: cleanCopy not working is also a known bug. The "unused node detected" error message should not be ignored - it means you have a typo in your configuration and it just won't work. Your workaround (removing the offending tag, starting the service, adding the tag again) won't work, as when ccnet will fail to validate the configuration it just will ignore it, it won't re-load it. Such errors are easiest to fix using the CCValidator, it is installed along the server executables and can show you how the CruiseControl.Net sees your configuration file after it is parsed.

I have completed all the procedures in the development process of the Google Smart Home action including Invocation, Actions, and Account linking.
However when I try to test the same, If I go to test suit and log in with my developer mail id and paste my action's project id, It throws an error:
Error getting Home Graph: sync error: 403: Please make sure you have resourcemanager.projects.get permission on project 'project-id'
My bad, it was a more sort of invisible typo error.
I am not sure why, but when we copy the project ID from google action's console there is a space prefixed with the project id. Which causes this issue.
Make sure to remove extra whitespaces on both sides of the project ID and try again in the test suit.
Using gradle wrapper and specifying an internal repository URL to download the zip distribution - I followed the instructions from here: https://docs.gradle.org/5.2.1/userguide/gradle_wrapper.html#sec:authenticated_download
The https\://<username>:<password>#... in the distributionUrl works fine, but it's sub-optimal - we don't want credentials checked in source control. I tried:
systemProp.gradle.wrapperUser=<username>
systemProp.gradle.wrapperPassword=<password>
and confirmed that the properties are being set; however, they seem to be completely ignored. I keep getting a 401 unauthorized error when trying to access our internal repository. I tried all possibile combinations: systemProp.gradle.wrapperUser=username, gradle.wrapperUser=username and wrapperUser=username, nothing seems to work.
Any help is much appreciated.
Well, it turns out the issue was not with Gradle, but with IntelliJ, which seems to be overriding or completely ignoring the properties above. From a Unix shell script, everything works as advertised.
This used to work fine but we've just moved the site from the development area to httpdocs. I've changed all relevant MySQL entries and file paths, but still we're having this error.
In the Apache error log, This is the corresponding error:
client denied by server configuration: /var/www/vhosts/website.com/httpdocs/var/www/vhosts...
It looks like it is getting the wrong path somehow, as the /var/www/vhosts is repeating.
I did try using powergrep to locate where the path is getting set, but it didn't return any results.
Is there a setting which I can specify the exact path?
First of all, check your PHP log, it will give you a detailed info about this error.
Have you checked your permissions?
The folders var and media must be writtable.
And also, could you see correctly the homepage, categories and the error only appears when you log in?
Best regards.
I am developing a RESTful web api service. It's web api v.1, not v.2. Also I am developing on Visual Studio 2010 SP1. I have installed the MVC 4 for VS2010 SP1.
Please understand and keep in mind that Upgrading to newer versions of VS or Web Api 2 is not an option.
I have the following problem after a Windows Update ocurred.
When I try to use my RESTful api this way....
http://url.com/documents/ (get all the documents) I get the following error...
The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Here is the stack trace.
[HttpException]: File does not exist. at System.Web.StaticFileHandler.GetFileInfo(String virtualPathWithPathInfo, String physicalPath, HttpResponse response) at System.Web.StaticFileHandler.ProcessRequestInternal(HttpContext context, String overrideVirtualPath) at System.Web.DefaultHttpHandler.BeginProcessRequest(HttpContext context, AsyncCallback callback, Object state) at system.Web.HttpApplication.CallHandlerExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() at System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously)
If I specify the action name directly, it works. For example...
http://url.com/documents/get (gets all the documents) or
http://url.com/documents/7 (gets document id=7.
It only fails when you call it by its default name. I have already read similar situations here and I have tried to follow their solutions but they are not working for me properly.
Now, I know this is not a "web api routing" issue because I actually get the .net default exception page html markup (I am using Postman to test my webservice). When I force a "routing issue", then I get a JSON error description, which means that the Controller actually got created in the pipeline and returned a response.
Also, I have a custom file (SecurityHandler) that inherits from DelegatingHandler. This file gets executed almost first in the pipeline with each call to the api. Even before the actual Controller. Well, this file is never called when I get the error, which confirms to me that the "webserver" (either VS Development Server or IIS 7) is the one throwing the exception.
I have exhausted every single solution that I have found here. Change my web.config to multiple handlers configurations, re-installed MVC 4 for VS2010, created an entire new project... all these efforts have shown no results whatsoever.
Like I said, this was working perfectly fine until my pc restarted from a Windows Update BUT... why does it fail in the server as well? I did deploy my api to the server after the error started to occur.
Thanks.
The issue is not in Web API (and has nothing to do with it's version or Visual Studio 2010), it's the static file handler trying to serve and failing.
Alternatives:
0. Do you have a documents folder in your site? Get rid of it.
1. Remove the static file handler for directory browsing and re-add it.
2. Use RAMMFAR (less recommended)
I have been trying to get Google Cloud Messaging to work in eclipse. I was able to compile the example given on their demo webpage and run that without any errors; however, when I try to create my own example using jersey I get the run time error "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/google/android/gcm/server/Sender" when the following code tries to create a sender.
#POST
#Path("/send")
public Response sendMessage() throws IOException
{
Sender sender = new Sender("api_key");
Message message = new Message.Builder().build();
sender.send(message, DataStore.getDevices(), 5);
return Response.status(200).entity("Success").build();
}
Note: I have replaced my real api key with api_key. I know it works because I was able to get the demo working by running the ant commands explained in the tutorial. Also just to be specific in case of ambiguity, the error I am getting is server side, and has nothing to do with the android device.
Things I have already tried:
I have included the gcm-server.jar in my WEB-INF/lib folder and under project properties I have included it in the build path.
I have also tried, as mentioned on other sites, to include json_simple-1.1.jar the same way I included gcm-server.jar. I don't see how this would effect this error but I saw this listed as an answer in a few different places.
(Solution) Deleted the tomcat server and created a new one. I probably could have just cleaned the project instead and had the same results.
Demo tutorial link: http://developer.android.com/guide/google/gcm/demo.html.
I just found a solution to my problem. In frustration I deleted the old Tomcat server from eclipse and created a new one. When I ran the project again there weren't any problems at all. When I first set up the project I had included the jar files in WEB-INF/lib and later, after reading a lot of posts on the internet, added gcm-server.jar to the build path. It appears that this action would have fixed it but for some reason unknown to me there were some left over files on the server from before the change. I should have tried cleaning my project but I didn't even think about that being the issue. Anyway, I hope that this helps someone because I've sort of condensed all of the information I could find on the internet into this post, as well as included my own dilemma and solution to it.
