I have written following condition in .cshtml page but it is not working
#if (row.item.FullName.Trim().length <= 0)
{
#Html.ActionLink("Create", "Create", "UsersInfo")
}
else
{
<a href='#Url.Action("Edit", "UsersInfo", new { id = row.item.UserId }))'>Contact</a>
}
My requirement is if FullName contains empty then link visible for Create else Edit. It is giving me following
Error:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance
of an object.
if i use #if (row.item.FullName == "") then it will display following screen
<img src='http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/Uploads/5038017/screen.png'/>
Try String.IsNullOrEmpty(row.item.FullName).
Try this:
#if (String.IsNullOrEmpty(row.item.FullName))

field: 'Status' ,
width: '70px' ,
template: "#if(Status == 'On Request') {#<div class='redAndBold'>#:Status</div>#}#"
I have a kendo UI grid where the "Status" is being filled in from the javascript file. The Status in the model can be "On Request", and what I want is: if it is "On Request", add a class to it, "redAndBold". The syntax in this particular example gives a "user is not defined" error.
Could anyone give me some pointers on how to correctly do this?
The kendo.templates depend on #=fieldName# or #:fieldName#. In the current case, there is a missing closing "#" after 'Status'. The templates are evaluated with the value of the field when bound to a data item during initialization. For executing JavaScript logic use only "#JS logic goes here#". Further information can be found here Kendo UI templates.
To avoid confusion of the template syntax, plain JavaScript function can be used instead:
template: "#=templateFunc(data)#"
// JS hander
function templateFunc(dataItem){
if(dataItem.Status== 'On Request') {
return "<div class='redAndBold'>"+dataItem.Status+"</div>";
} else{
return dataItem.Status;
}
}
I think you are missing a # after Status. When you inject the value of a variable it needs a # before and after. If you split the template code over several lines whilst you write it, it can be easier to get it right.
#if(Status == 'On Request') {#
<div class='redAndBold'>
#:Status#
</div>
#}#
A good check is to count the number of # symbols in your template. It should always be an even number.
As many people pointed out, you're missing a pound sign. I would like to point out that you can set the template as a function that returns a string. I generally do this because there are nuances with the string template such as escaping pound signs among other things:
field: 'Status',
width: '70px',
template: function(dataItem) {
var div = $('<div />');
if (dataItem.Status === 'On Request') {
div.addClass('redAndBold');
}
return div.prop('outerHTML');
}
Just use function for a template :
}, {
field: "TrackingNumber",
title: "#T("Admin.Orders.Shipments.TrackingNumber")",
}, {
field: "ShippingMethodName",
title: "#T("Admin.Orders.Shipments.ShippingMethodName")",
template:function(dataItem) {
var template;
var ShippingMethodPluginName = dataItem.ShippingMethodPluginName;
var IsReferanceActive = dataItem.IsReferanceActive;
var ShippingMethodName = dataItem.ShippingMethodName;
var CargoReferanceNo = dataItem.CargoReferanceNo;
var ShipmentStatusId = dataItem.ShipmentStatusId;
if (ShipmentStatusId == 7) {
return "<div align='center'><label class='label-control'><b style='color:red'>Sipariş İptal Edildi<b></label></div>";
} else {
if (ShippingMethodPluginName == "Shipping.ArasCargo" || ShippingMethodPluginName == "Shipping.ArasCargoMP") {
template =
"<div align='center'><img src = '/content/images/aras-kargo-logo.png' width = '80' height = '40'/> <label class='label-control'><b>Delopi Aras Kargo Kodu<b></label>";
if (IsReferanceActive) {
template =
template +
"<label class='label-control'><b style='color:red; font-size:20px'>"+CargoReferanceNo+"<b></label></div>";
}
return template;
}
I am trying to retrieve data from database and check if the data is empty or not. What problem I am facing is that html is showing even if the data is empty. I want to ignore the html tag like example ul li. Here how i tried is like
#if(!empty($jobseekers->skill_1))
<li> My Skill is : {{ \App\skill::where('id',$jobseekers->skill_1)->pluck('name')->first() }}</li><br/>
#endif
I want to ignore "My Skill is " if the data is empty. I don't want to show anything.
When using ->get() you can't simply use any of the below:
if (empty($jobseekers->skill_1)) { }
if (!$jobseekers->skill_1) { }
if ($jobseekers->skill_1) { }
But, When you are getting data with first() method, You can simply use all above methods.
Because if you dd($jobseekers->skill_1); you'll notice an instance of Illuminate\Support\Collection is always returned, even when there are no results.
I think you are using !empty() on data with ->get() method which will always return true even data is empty. You need to use other way.
To determine if there are any results you can do any of the following:
if (!$jobseekers->skill_1->isEmpty()) { }
if ($jobseekers->skill_1->count()) { }
if (count($jobseekers->skill_1)) { }
If you get $jobseekers with get() method you can not use empty($jobseekers )
instead of empty you can use other conditions :
#if($jobseekers->skill_1 != '')
in this condition you check skill_1 as empty string
also
#if($jobseekers->skill_1)
and etc
replace your code with below code and check it:
#if($jobseekers->skill_1 != '')
<li> My Skill is : {{ \App\skill::where('id',$jobseekers->skill_1)-pluck('name')->first() }}</li><br/>
#endif
you should use isset()
#if(isset($jobseekers->skill_1))
<li> My Skill is : {{ \App\skill::where('id',$jobseekers->skill_1)->pluck('name')->first() }}</li><br/>
#endif
you can use count method
#if(count($jobseekers->skill_1)>0)
<li> My Skill is : {{ \App\skill::where('id',$jobseekers->skill_1)-pluck('name')->first() }}</li><br/>
#endif
#if(count($data)>0)
//write your code which you want to show if data is available
#endif
I have some filters on a web page (checkboxes) and I modify the result list by ajax POST method. Is there a way that somehow I save the page state and send the URL link to someone so they open it in that state? Any help is appreciated.
By the way I'm using Laravel.
You can use parameters :
test.com/page?checkbox1=checked&checkbox2=checked
In your Laravel controller you can do this :
public function page($request) {
$checkboxes = array();
if ($request->has('checkbox1')) {
$checkboxes[] = true;
}
if ($request->has('checkbox2')) {
$checkboxes[] = true;
}
// ... and so on.
return view('page', compact('checkboxes'));
}
And set your php page like this :
<input type="checkbox" <?php checkboxes[$i++] ? 'checked' : '' ?> >
You can set the checkbox as parameter in the URL, and when the user go to your address, check if there is any of your params.
if so - set the checkboxes as you wish
just to get the general idea..
function getUrlParams(requested_param){
//check for params
return result;
}
if (getUrlParams(myCheckBox)){
$('#checkbox_on_page').prop( "checked", true );
}
I have created some Razor code to output images onto a page if the exist. It is detailed below and contains some simple checks to prevent rendering a blank list item. The site has gone live and works fine. The client then deleted the image from the media folder within Umbraco, meaning my node had a valid image assigned but the image just didn't exists. I got the following exception:
'string' does not contain a definition for 'crops'
How do I deal with this?
#using umbraco.MacroEngines;
#inherits umbraco.MacroEngines.DynamicNodeContext
#using umbraco.presentation.nodeFactory
#using umbraco.cms.businesslogic.media
<ul>
#foreach (dynamic client in #Model.Children)
{
var image = Model.MediaById(client.Logo);
var crops = image.imageCropper.crops;
<li>
<h2><span>#client.Name</span></h2>
#if (crops != null || crops.GetType().ToString() != "System.String")
{
<span class="itemImage">
<img src="#crops.Find("#name", "cropname").url" alt="#client.Name" />
</span>
}
</li>
}
</ul>
In this case you'll probably need to do a type check. I believe the MediaById method should return a DynamicNode if it's valid, so something like the following should work:
if(image.GetType() == typeof(DynamicNode))
{
...
}
I was getting this issue. What I found is that the Model.MediaById(imageid) call would throw an exception if the Media had been deleted (and had already been picked in the past).
So I setup my test like this:
dynamic mainMediaImage = new DynamicNull();
try
{
mainMediaImage = Model.MediaById(related.eventMainImage);
}
catch(Exception e)
{
<p style='display: none;'>#e.Message</p>
}
var cropUrl = "";
if(mainMediaImage.GetType() == typeof(DynamicMedia))
{
cropUrl = GetImageCropperUrl(Model.MediaById(related.eventMainImage).crops, "List Image");
}
I still get the error, but it doesn't display to the user.
I found it would never get to my DynamicMedia check so I had to add the try...catch() around the call or else to entire Macro would fail.
<div class="buttonClear_bottomRight">
<div class="buttonBlueOnWhite">
<a onclick="$find('{0}').close(true); callPostBackFromAlert();" href="#">Ok</a><div
class='rightImg'>
</div>
</div>
</div>
In the above code i wanted to click on Ok button present in the anchor tag.But an id is not generated because of which i cannot directly perform a click action. I tried a work around mentioned below.
IElementContainer elm_container = (IElementContainer)pw.Element(Find.ByClass(classname));
foreach (Element element in elm_container.Elements)
{
if (element.TagName.ToString().ToUpper() == "A")
{
element.Click();
}
}
But here elm_container returns null for intial instances due to which we cannot traverse through it. Is there any other easy method to do it ?
Try this...
Div div = browser.Div(Find.ByClass("buttonClear_bottomRight")).Div(Find.ByClass("buttonBlueOnWhite"));
Debug.Assert(div.Exists);
Link link = div.Link(lnk => lnk.GetAttributeValue("onclick").ToLower().Contains(".close(true)"));
Debug.Assert(link.Exists);
link.Click();
Hope it helps!
You can simply Click on the link by finding its text
var OkButton = Browser.Link(Find.ByText("Ok"));
if(!OkButton.Exists)
{
\\Log error here
}
OkButton.Click();
Browser.WaitForCompplete();
Or you can find the div containing the link like,
var ContainerDiv = Browser.Div(Find.ByClass("buttonBlueOnWhite"));
if(!ContainerDiv.Exists)
{
\\Log error here
}
ContainerDiv.Links.First().Click();
Browser.WaitForComplete();
