I am eager to become a good Magento developer. I have done a little customization in Magento such as,
customization in theme.
create custom tabs in admin side.
understand dir structures of magento.
I did this under the guidance of my senior company mate and I use Magento's knowlege base as well as a Magento cookbook. But now I want to do some practical exercises, for that I need some good resources.
Thanks in advance.
To get a general overview of all Magento topics you could use the studyguide for magento certification (studyguide). Working with the sourcecode and answering the questions myself helped me a lot to understand how Magento works and I improved myself in topics I didn't know that much before. There are even blogs who explain this topics (magestore).

I'm developing a quite simple site at least for now.
What I want is to make it possible for administrator to create posts (articles). And further to form a blog in a subdomain.
I didn't find a tutorial on blog development using ASP.NET MVC 3. Can you provide any useful tutorial/post/book.
Thanks!
This is a good tutorial from asp.net which should help you:

Hope this helps?
If you want to develop powerful dynamic websites with patterns-based which enables a clean separation of concerns and gives you full control over markup for enjoyable, agile development then MVC (Model view controller) is the best option in current software engineering cycle.

I'm looking for a substitute for Wordpress and Squarespace that's implemented in Ruby. It can be a Rails app, a Rails plugin, or a standalone static page generator. The most important features we're looking for is that it comes with a selection of nice looking themes and is easy to set up.
I've used Typo in the past with success. It's written in Ruby, is reasonably active and can be installed as a gem. It comes with a default theme and there are a bucket full of themes available at Typogarden.
The most popular weblog engine written in ruby from its earlier days is tdiary (github, sourceforge). It is developed in Japanese, and there is not much English documentation, though. But there is an English mailing list.

I have kept on searching for flight searching extension for a while and I can not find the joomla flight search extension (no need booking function).
Where can I find it?
Should I start learning php, xml, mysql to build an extension? I have a little programming background.
There isn't one that I know of. You will have to pick an API that works for you and write a component to query it. This is a little dated but the info and links are accurate for finding a flight search API - http://blog.programmableweb.com/2007/10/29/5-travel-apis-from-comparison-to-booking/

I am searching for a good online project managment software. There are plenty of them though. So, the best way would be to get some recommendations. :-)
Lately I've found Zoho Projects.. does anyone use it?
Thanks for answers.
Andy
I've used ProjectPier: http://www.projectpier.org/
but we are now moving to http://teambox.com/community
They are open source "replicas" of Basecamp. Teambox seems to be much more up to date as ProjectPier hasn't had a release in a loooooooooooong time.
There's also Trac, which I like because it ties into svn and gives you milestones, bug tracking, etc. http://trac.edgewall.org/
I'm using AgileZen and I'm happy with it. It implements the Kanban methodology and its very simple and effective. Pricing is not cheap, but they give a free account to free software projects.
