spring security problem - spring

I'm trying to enable the spring security with the annotation an test it. I've putted in my context file:
<context:component-scan base-package="com.example.service" />
<security:global-method-security secured-annotations="enabled" />
But when I put the secured-annotations to enable the context:component-scan don't create my service that stay in the package...why this can happens?
This is the main cause:

Spring-boot + mail/Session JNDI resource = NoSuchBeanDefinitionException (JavaMailSender)

I've been struggling for a couple of days (and no progress) with the configuration of the mail/Session as a JNDI resource (declared on the Tomcat side), to be picked up by an spring-boot app. The idea is to avoid having any critical information in the application, such as user/password data.
(NOTE 1: Credentials and conection through SMTP have been tested, with an application side configuration, hard-coded in the application.properties, so that is not a problem).
The current configuration I'm using is the following:
server.xml ($TOMCAT/conf)
<Resource
name="mail/Session"
auth="Container"
type="javax.mail.Session"
username="user#test.com"
password="XXX"
mail.user="user#test.com"
mail.password="XXX"
mail.transport.protocol="smtp"
mail.smtp.host="smtp.test.com"
mail.smtp.auth="true"
mail.smtp.port="587"/>
context.xml (webapp/META-INF)
<Context>
<ResourceLink
name="mail/Session"
global="mail/Session"
auth="Container"
type="javax.mail.Session"/>
</Context>
application.properties
spring.mail.jndi-name=java:comp/env/mail/Session
In the pom.xml I have the spring-boot-starter-mail dependency (as well as other necessary dependencies). And the class in which I'm inyecting the JavaMailSender bean is this one (simplified):
(NOTE 2: The spring-boot version used is 1.2.8.RELEASE)
#Service("emailService")
public class EmailService {
#Autowired
public JavaMailSender javaMailSender;
public void sendSimpleMail(/* ... */) throws MessagingException {
//Create message
MimeMessage message = javaMailSender.createMimeMessage();
MimeMessageHelper helper = new MimeMessageHelper(message);
helper.setFrom(fromAddress);
helper.setTo(toAddress);
helper.setSubject(subject);
helper.setText(body);
//Send message
javaMailSender.send(message);
}
}
I understand that spring-boot autoconfiguration should create the JavaMailSender bean once it finds either jndiName or host,port,username,password... spring.mail properties (the later works when I set host, port, username and pasword in application.properties), but it throws the following stack when I use the jndiName option:
Caused by: org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'emailService': Injection of autowired dependencies failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Could not autowire field: public org.springframework.mail.javamail.JavaMailSender com.testapp.service.EmailService.javaMailSender; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No qualifying bean of type [org.springframework.mail.javamail.JavaMailSender] found for dependency: expected at least 1 bean which qualifies as autowire candidate for this dependency. I have a dataSource configured as a JNDI resource in the same way, and it works perfectly. Does the (mail)Session need a different aproach or am I missing something on it's configuration?
As #m-deinum pointed out in the comments, the problem wasn't the configuration, but the lack of JNDI support in spring-boot versions under 1.3.x
To solve the issue, I ended up heeding to #m-deinum's tip and upgrading spring-boot from 1.2.8 to 1.3.5... dealing with some deprecated classes and new configurations and ready to go!

How can I solve the above error? I have no annotations in DAO layer.
Which application context configuration method are you using xml vs annotations. Explict bean registration vs component scanning.
If you are using xml with explicit bean definition make sure that you are registering your bean as follows
<bean id="usersDao" class="com.users.dao.UsersDaoImpl">
<!-- properties here-->
</bean>
If you are using xml with component scanning making sure that you include the context namespace in your xml config and include the package containing your UsersDao package as follows
If you are using Java configuration with explict bean registration you can do it as follows
#Configuration
public class DaoConfig{
#Bean
public UsersDao usersDao(){
//return your implementation class
}
}
If you are using Java configuration with component scanning you can specify it ass follows
#Configuration
#ComponentScan({"com.users.dao"})
public class DaoConfig{
}
Here is my DAO and DAOImpl
UsersDao-
public interface UsersDao {
List<Users> findAll();
}
UsersDaoImpl-
public class UsersDaoImpl extends HibernateDaoSupport implements UsersDao{
#Override
public List<Users> findAll() {
try{
#SuppressWarnings("unchecked")
List<Users> OfferList = (List<Users>) getHibernateTemplate().find("select o from Users");
return OfferList;
}catch (RuntimeException e) {
throw e;
}
}
}

You will need a application context file in each module with the context:component-scan tag with required package. In the main parent package where you load the application context you will need to provide these context file names. for eg
<context-param>
<param-name>contextConfigLocation</param-name>
<param-value>classpath:applicationContext-*.xml</param-value>
</context-param>
<listener>
<listener-class>org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener</listener-class>
</listener>

Prototype scoped Spring bean incorrectly created at context creation time after upgrade to 4.1.4.RELEASE

I have a prototype scoped bean defined in my test Configuration that needs to be created using the ApplicationContext (applicationContext.getBean("my-failing-prototype-bean", myStringParam) because it has a String parameter that needs to be passed.
When I was on Spring 4.0.4 this worked just fine when I ran my tests. The context is loaded when I ran a test class and the prototype scoped bean was not created until it was needed. Now, the process of loading the context attempts to create an instance of my bean which fails because there is no suitable bean that matches the String parameter I need to manually pass to the bean's factory method.
After stepping through the context creation process, it appears that in an attempt to autowire a different bean, Spring is calling DefaultListableBeanFactory.getBeanNamesForType() which calls AbstraceAutowireCapableBeanFactory.getNonSingletonFactoryBeanForTypeCheck() which then calls AbstraceAutowireCapableBeanFactory.createBeanInstance() because AbstraceAutowireCapableBeanFactory.resolveBeforeInstantiation() returns null.
EDIT: After distilling my project down to an sample project that produces the issue, I found it only occurs when the bean declared in my test Spring config implements either FactoryBean, BeanFactoryAware, or BeanClassLoaderAware. It also definitely only occurs when there is another bean injected into the test Spring config.
Thank you for your help and please let me know if there are any more details you would like!

As far as i know, having a bean as prototype does not stop it from being eagerly initialized. Try adding a #Lazy annotation to your bean.
#Bean(name = {"my-failing-prototype-bean"})
#Scope(BeanDefinition.SCOPE_PROTOTYPE)
#Profile("test")
#Lazy
public JndiObjectFactoryBean myFailingPrototypeBean(final String jndiName) {
JndiObjectFactoryBean jof = new JndiObjectFactoryBean();
JndiTemplate testJndiTemplate = new JndiTemplate();
jof.setResourceRef(true);
jof.setJndiTemplate(testJndiTemplate);
jof.setJndiName(jndiNameForQueue);
return jof;
}

multi-module bean injection failure

I have 2 maven modules, API and Impl. Impl is DI based and has the following code
<beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context
http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-4.1.xsd
http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans
http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-4.1.xsd">
<context:component-scan base-package="com.name.mongo.client.impl" annotation-config="true"/>
</beans>
Note: used annotation-config as my repositoryImpl class has #Repository annotation
I have a third sample maven module which is spring-jersey based and has the API and Impl dependencies. The Spring-Jersey webapp is working fine as tested with sample classes. Here is the class modified class for accessing my service
#Component
#Path("/payment")
public class PaymentService {
#Autowired
#Qualifier(value="mongoRepositoryImpl")
MongoRepository mongoRepositoryImpl;
But when i test with the project modules autowiring fails and see the exception
org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'paymentService': Injection of autowired dependencies failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Could not autowire field: com.name.mongo.client.api.MongoRepository com.mkyong.rest.PaymentService.transactionBo; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No qualifying bean of type [com.name.mongo.client.api.MongoRepository] found for dependency: expected at least 1 bean which qualifies as autowire candidate for this dependency. The issue is Impl module is using spring for bean instantiation but the consuming or API module i.e. spring-jersey webapp or API is not aware of another context existing. So how can i make them be aware of contexts and interact with each other.
