VIsual Studio 2010 is very slow opening a solution after installing SP1 - visual-studio-2010

Yesterday I installed SP1 on my Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate, and I'm not sure if this is cause or correlation, but since then VS takes forever to open a solution. The "Preparing solution" dialogue has been showing for about 15 minutes now. Last night, after SP1, it wasn't as long, but it did take about 5 minutes to 'prepare the solution'. Anyone know anything about such issues with SP1?

Works for me : Try CTRL-ALT-SHIFT J twice. It calls the garbadge collector of the CLR gfx interface.

I'm using Visual Studio 2015 Community and when running my program it's hanging for some seconds why?

I'm using visual studio 2015 community. Not sure if that's express and if that's what i need.
I see the mouse sign like it's thinking for about 5-10 seconds when running my program. When using visual studio 2013 pro it didn't do it.
I couldn't take a screenshot of it but i see the mouse circle sign thinking for 5-10 seconds before it continue to run my program.
Is there any reason why it's doing it in vs 2015 express ?
Maybe i will try visual studio 2013 express later i just wonder whats wrong with the 2015 express.
If i want to get now visual studio 2013 express should i get this version ?
Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows Desktop with Update 4
It's common issue in Visual studio update 1 RTM. I and other some people debugging winforms app, and found that when we are debugging it's almost hang the computer that we can't even take screenshot.
Did you try update 1 RC (As of now), It have improvement over debugging and it's look to me that this bug has been fixed in update 1 RC.

Visual Studio 2013 freezes constantly

After a few minutes regardless of what I do Visual Studio 2013 freezes and i get a popup saying "visual studio 2013 is busy". I've searched literally for hours and found nothing that relates to my problem specifically and even less so for anything that works (like repairing vs).
I couldn't find any other solution so I refreshed my computer and that did the trick

Visual Studio Community 2015 RC Installation taking too long time

I've downloaded visual studio 2015 RC .iso and started installation.
But It is taking too long time.
It is around 20 hours of installation time but still it is not complete.
My machine is with intel i5 440 processor and 8GB of RAM. But still it is taking this much time.
Please note. I've selected all option in Visual Studio Community 2015 RC Installation ( Full Install )
Can anybody tell me the reason for this much amount of time?
Simplist possible problem is that the installer has lost it's internet connection. The lovely team at MS reponsible for this installer for VS Community 2015 did not program in an error message if the internet connection is lost. It simply won't do anything, forever if it still needs to download. Once the internet connection is re-established, it'll happily download and installer some more.
Horrible oversight.
I guess the problem is the same as found in Visual Studio 2015 installer hangs during install?. Please check and do the needful. This worked for me after hours of wasting my time.

How possibly did IntelliTrace become available on my Visual Studio Professional installation?

As described in some other Q/As like this and this, IntelliTrace is a Visual Studio Ultimate feature only. But for some reason I have Visual Studio Professional 2013 (Version 12.0.30723.00 Update 3) and I have IntelliTrace on it. I don't know how it got there but it shows up in Quick Launch (Ctrl+Q) and is enabled from View -> Toolbars -> IntelliTrace. I told my colleague to use it and he didn't have it on his VS Pro! Do you have any clues why IntelliTrace is available on my VS 2013 Pro installation? I see comments from other people, such as #doglin here that he has the same.
I remember I had VS Ultimate trial installed before I installed VS Pro but can it be from there?
I have the same, it looks like a bug in Visual Studio. Installing Ultimate Trial add IntelliTrace feature to Professional edition.
see UPDATE below before you try this
I can confirm that I added IntelliTrace to VS2012 Pro by doing the following:
VS2012 installed with latest SP plus addins.
Install VS2012 Ultimate 30 day trial (about 30 minutes)
{not sure if I was forced to reboot here - If I was asked I rebooted}
Started VS2012 Ultimate (about 10 minutes)
Opened one of my projects and confirmed that IntelliTrace was working.
Uninstalled VS2012 Ultimate.
Rebooted as suggested by the uninstaller.
Started VS2012. It reverted back to Pro, with Intellitrace still present, add ins working. Only the changes I made to the IDE were lost (window positions, toolbars etc)
I now have IntelliTrace in VS2012 :)
--- UPDATE ---
I tried this and initially it appeared to work. But...
I could not longer create test projects and I had some test projects that failed to load. I tried many things and Googled the hell out of it. In the end, to restore VS 2012 to a working state, I uninstalled VS and reinstalled it.
I did not get IntelliTrace for free :(

Visual Studio 2013 won't start up

I installed 2 versions of the free trial for Visual Studio 2013, first Professional, then Ultimate. When I try to launch the first time, it locks up and eventually gives a "not responding" message. The first time I try, it crashes the operating system with a "kernel_inpage_data_error". I'm running Windows 8.1.
I've tried multiple times to repair the install, and tried a total uninstall/reinstall. I get the same result every time.
