Farseer physics Engine 3.1 with Mango - windows-phone-7

When I try to reference the project of farseer with a WP7 game targeted to mango, it gives an error about these projects being different in "refresh levels"
The integration with a NoDo Game works fine.
How should I solve this? I don't want end up creating a NoDo Game...

I've just got an answer from Farseer's fan page administrator, they're working on releasing a version specifically for mango and also working on making video tutorials for the engine...

Download Farseer source code from their site and compile it by yourself. I'm pretty sure the assembly versions have changed from NoDo to Mango.

After compiling the source code, add reference to farseer dll file (not to the project).

Since Farseer's main download still has not been updated for Mango (A little concerning that the project seems to have stagnated)-- if anyone finds this question, I believe the simplest fix for this issue is just to right click the Farseer Physics project in the Solution Explorer and select "Upgrade Windows Phone Projects". This allows the reference to be made and doesn't raise any errors for me. I've yet to see if the functionality of the engine remains intact, but wouldn't imagine anything would go terribly wrong.

UnityContainerExtensions.cs not found

After updating some NuGet packages, it turned out that some things in my website got broken by new code. I updated to the new Unity inversion control 5.0.0, etc. So after a while of hunting around and trying to fix it, I was able to get it to finally build and launch the site. However, the Unity IOC was broken because I kepts getting the "Error in Application '~/', controller must have a parameterless constructor". I saw that my couple of Unity files (UnityConfig.cs and UnityMvcActivator.cs) were gone, so I replaced them with ones I had in the backup folder.
Well, now it launches a loading site, but in VS it now says "UnityContainerExtensions.cs not found". I see that it looks all over for this file, around 'C:\ Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\VC...' and then it goes looking through 'c:\projects\unity]Abstractions\src\Utility...' - a folder that I can't even see.
This is in VS2015, doing a web application with Framework 4.6.
What can I do to just make it work again, as when I first had it so many months ago?
Alright, I was able to fix my Unity problem by rolling back on some of the packages. I'm the kind of person who likes to have no notifications, so I clicked Update All, and apparently the updates weren't necessarily compatible with my project here. To get it working again I has to bring back:
Unity.Abstractions = 2.0.0
Unity = 4.0.1
Unity.AspNet.WebApi = 4.0.1
Unity.Mvc = 4.0.1
Now to great relief, all works just as it did before!
However, I do wish I knew why the breakages happen and also why these packages are listed as updates when they are not going to work with my project.
Till the future, my system is going to have to consist of a Post-It "Do not update these xxxx packages, they will break stuff". And I wish to gain an understanding of what is the reason behind such Unity mess.

cannot open visual basic 6.0 project due to component 'msconctl.ocx' not registered error

I have a project in visual basic 6.0 with an error message that,
'msconctl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered:
a file is missing or invalid.
Can't figure out what is the problem,
i am also getting an error:- object or with block variable.
please help?

First, I'm pretty sure that you are talking about mscomctl.ocx (not msconctl.ocx), the Microsoft Common Control library, which is where you get all the common controls (text box, label, etc.) used in VB6. If you don't have this registered properly, VB6 won't run.
You haven't told us if you're using a 64-bit version of Windows or not. This makes a difference. In any case, you should be able to work out a solution by reading This.
MSComCtl.OCX was in 2012 modified in such a way that it became in-compatibable with legacy VB6 applications. MSComCtl.OCX prior to that was working fine. I ran into this and the only alternative left to me was to remove the control from the project ( in my case a Status Bar ) and use a Label field to cover the duties of the Status Bar. Once I was upgraded to a .Net Codebase I re-introduced the .Net Status Bar and things were back to normal. You probably didn't do anything wrong...its just a change to MSCOMCTL.OCX that once applied to your machine will break old VB6 projects that use that control. If you run or attempt to compile the app, VB6 should point you to the line(s) of code encountering the error. That will tell you which control is being victimized. Consider removing the control, and also the reference to MSComCtl, and creating workarounds. Sorry...just another nail in the VB6 coffin. I hate it but can't prevent it. Hope this helps.

Code Definition Window not working in VS2015

Just upgraded to Visual Studio 2015 and the Code Definition Window is not working.It just says "No definition selected" no matter what I select. Project is Windows Forms written in C#.
Go to Definition and Peek Definition are working fine
Went back to VS2013 to try it out and it's still working there
Tried to make a brand new project in VS2015 to see if it was project related, but it was not
Checked with a couple of colleagues and it wasn't working for them either
I have a feeling this is either a bug in VS2015 or some sort of configuration change.
Anyone found a way to configure it, or any sort of work around to get it up and running again?

Importing a project into Visual Studio. Why so many errors?

This isn't really coding specific, but we currently have a project that is live and working fine. I am tasked with making a few changes to it. I imported the ALL files of the project to Visual Studio 2010. I can't get any work done, because of all the errors!
Do you have any suggestions for me? The project doesn't have a source file, so I created a project and made one myself.
I tried another version of Visual Studio, and the errors continue. How in the world is this project even working?
Also, I have no way to speak with the creator.

Without seeing the specific errors you're running into, I'm guessing that you are hitting one of two scenarios:
The source code references .NET assemblies that you do not have installed on your development machine. The only way to correct this is to get your hands on a copy of those assemblies to install them. The assembly names should be in the error messages, which would give you a good starting point to look from.
It's also possible that differences in the .NET framework versions that it was originally developed in and what you are trying to use now are accounting for a large number of errors. If the errors specifically reference the version number, this is most likely what you're experiencing. If this is the case, there are ways you can upgrade the individual file versions that your program references, but I honestly haven't done that in about 8 years, so I'm drawing a blank at the moment as to how to do it.

you have a "project" (what kind of project?) that you want to start working with with VS2010 ?
You add the files to a new VS2010 project and start building it and many errors occur ?
What kind of errors ? Language (C++/C#) errors ? missing include missing ? missing libraries ?
Can you show a some of the errors you get ?

Using Apple's coding examples in XCode 4.3.2 - Base SDK Missing

I'm discovering XCode and iOS development.
Delving into the iOS documentation, I've tried to download and run some of the programming examples.
As an example, I'll use AccelerometerGraph.
If I download the code and try to compile, i get an error message, and I realize that the Navigation panel tells me : Base SDK Missing.
After fiddling around (the existing answers on stackoverflow refer to the Xcode 3.2 answer, which doesn't work) I figured I should go to "Editor > Validate Settingsā€¦" and accept the changes.
It "seems" to work, (as in the "Missing SDK" message disappears, and I can compile) but I'm wondering if i'm missing something more fundamental.
Also, I thought if there is such a fundamental change, it would be useful to have it up there in one of the questions.

Go to the project settings and choose "Latest SDK" for the SDK option and that should fix your projects.
And if you want to be super helpful, file a bug with Apple (at http://bugreporter.apple.com) and tell them to update these outdated sample projects to use the latest SDK's if possible.
Not missing something more fundamental. Apple's sample projects have a variety of vintages. Mostly they compile and link under the current versions of Xcode and friends. Some need to be brought up to date. What you found was one that was originally set up for an obsolete version of the SDK and it compiles and links fine with one that was automagically found on your system when you updated it.
