I'm getting following error both on web install or directly using the ISO image downloaded. how to resolve this?
I had to manually create the directory in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0, then run the install. It seems the beta installer doesn't create the directory for some reason.

when attempting to npm install weak on Windows 8.1?
I tried installing Visual Studio C++ 2010 Express, adding C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\vcpackages as an environment variable and running npm install weak from the Visual Studio Command Prompt (2010) to no avail.
I've also installed the Windows 8.1 SDK but it doesn't seem to ship with a command prompt so I'm not really sure what to do there.
I created a project using Visual Studio 2010 and trying to create the build in TFS 2013. I am getting the following error. Target Framework is 4.0. Why my build server is looking for Visual Studio 12.0 folder? How to change this settings? I appreciate any suggestions.

You need to do one of the following:
Change the build configuration to use 2010
Install VS 2013 on the build server.
I would recommend upgrading your visual studio anyway as you are already 2 versions behind with CTP's already available for DEV14,..
Having tried to follow all advices, remedies and workarounds including removing and reinstalling the Multi-Device Hybrid Apps for Visual Studio CPT1 I still can't seem to do a successful build of the included "Blank App (Apache Cordova)" project.

I just ran into this on one of my PCs and here's how I got it fixed:
Quit Visual Studio
Open the Android SDK manager by typing the Windows key and then "SDK manager", hit enter
Install Android Build Tools Rev 19 by checking the box next to it and clicking Install packages
Accept the license
Open Visual Studio and your project, then run it again
Jordan (Microsoft, Multi-Device Hybrid Apps tools team)
Finally the light bulb went on for me: The problem was the install batch files not being able to locate xcopy.exe and therefore the simple remedy was to just extend the path variable with
%SystemRoot%\system32;
The build now runs without further errors.

I ended up doing both.
I ran the Android SDK manager to install the Android Build Tools Rev 19 as well as some other updates.
I also added "%SystemRoot%\system32;" to the PATH environment variable.
Everything running as it should.
I have a dev machine and a build machine, both of which have Visual Studio 2012 Premium Update 3 installed (Version 11.0.60610.01). Both machines are 64 bit and are running Windows Server 2012 Version 6.2 (Build 9200)
The Dev machine has the following folder which contains MSTest.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE
On the build machine, that folder doesn't exist and searching for mstest.exe shows that it isn't on the build server anywhere.
Opening Control Panel > Programs and trying the Change operation doesn't provide any option to install mstest. All options shown in that Change window are identical on each machine.
The build server is also installed as a TFS agent
I've tried re-installing VS but no change.
Why isn't MStest.exe installed on the build machine and how can I get it installed?
I am using VS2017 and I was facing the same issue and I found it in here.

This sounds like you did what I did.
If you install the update "2012.3" it will only install minimal components and not the full IDE. Try installing Visual Studio from the ISO (~2GB) and then apply the Update...
I found on a different directory:

I have a clean install of Visual Studio 2010 with C# and F# installed and I am getting the following error when I try to open the solution cloned from github.

You probably need to install the Visual Studio 2010 SDK.
Noah is correct that the most likely problem is you need to install the Visual Studio SDK. The full steps to getting VsVim to open and compile are the following (taken from the README.txt file in the enlistment).
Install the Visual Studio SDK
Run the script Populate-References.ps1 from the enlistment root directory
Open the Solution.
