MVC3 - SSRS Report (rdlc) and Business Object Data Source - visual-studio-2010

I am trying to prototype the use of Sql Reporting Services (rdlc) files in my MVC3 app in Visual Studio 2010, and I am able to create my data access layer, add my report and bind it to my business objects just fine in MVC2 and asp.net forms projects.
When I try to duplicate this in an MVC3 app, I can't bind my report to the business objects, it doesn't even give me any option. Instead it wants to create a data source to the database. What is the issue here, any tips?

I had the same issue. The solution is to add on aspx page to the solution. credit goes to Can't see or add Website Data Sources in RDLC report in ASP.NET MVC for the solution.

Deploy Visual Studio 2015 SSAS-Tabular Model project from Tabular Editor - no data in destination database

I have a Visual Studio (VS) 2015 project for SSAS-Tabular Model, a simple project with a couple of tables.
I am using Tabular Editor (TE) tool (2.17.0) for the first time for deployment.
This VS project is to be deployed to a new database that does not yet exist in the SSAS-Tabular Model server.
The deployment from TE is successful; however the destination database in the SSAS-Tabular Model server does not have data; it has only the data model, i.e. the empty tables of the VS project.
How to import the data ?
Where am I wrong ? I can post some screenshots if needed.
Can someone provide suggestion ?
Deploying a model to a server is a metadata-only operation. After deployment you must Process the database to load data. In Power BI this is called "Refresh" but it's the same thing.
Visual Studio processes the database after deployment by default. Tabular Editor does not.
Note that Tabular Editor 3 supports refreshing models.

Integrate External javascript SDK into Dynamcis crm 2016

This is all new to me. I know Dynamics CRM developing more customised forms etc, you will use the Visual Studio. Also within Visual studio you can create plugins, solutions etc.
I'm more inclined to the web resources. what I have done so far, is just to upload HTML within which has an API to call a map service LIKE google but in this case its ESRI maps as a web resource into one of the Dynamics forms. This creates my map within the specified form.
This is not however the ideal way to do this, as it will mean going to every form to load HTML.
Now ESRI has a JavaScript SDK which I would imagine, I can load into Dynamics as an external plugin to have access to ESRI javascript Library.
This is where I'm stuck at the moment.
Could anyone point me to how to install an external library into dynamics visual studio?
Also, is there a way of avoiding not having to manually add html as a web resource into every forms in Dynamics?
You can upload the 3rd party JavaScript library as a web resource of type Script (JScript).
You can create the HTML resource once and reference it on all the forms, but yes, you do need to add it to each form initially.

Sharepoint 2010 build solution with UI then export as wsp template, to deploy in new environment

I build up a solution using UI in Sharepoint 2010. Solution consisted in creating a new site, as subsite using Team Site Template. Then I added the following artifacts:
Several Custom Columns
2 Custom content types using above columns
Document Library using my content types above
Several Custom Views created for above Document Library
1 Reuseable Workflow (this was developed with sharepoint designer 2010)
3 List Worklfow, using 'Three-state-workflow' template
Customisation of site navigation (quick launch)
Customisation of site home page
Some security groups
Added users to groups
Then I exported the site as wsp template, downloaded it to local drive.
I imported it in visual studio 2010, than changed the deployement method to 'Farm Solution' (not Sandboxed Solution) and packaged it.
I have to deploy to new sharepoint environment (new server), but till now there are issues in feature activation (total 5 features). the feature wich contains module elements is having issue.
Any idea how to solve this issue ?
Any idea how to streamline this process in order to avoid deployment issues ?

Accessing Visual Studio Database Project Schema Programatically

I'm trying to find a way to access the schema of a database project programatically from within Visual Studio 2010.
For example, if I have a solution containing a SQL Server Database Project which defines tables, views etc, and Visual Studio displays those objects within the schema view, I'd like to be able to enumerate the objects in the schema view.
Can anyone provide some tips or a link? Thanks.
Here is a starting point on MSDN. The "Create Custom Features for Database Projects" part is probably relevant for you.

How to set up a Graphic Designer to work on Asp.Net MVC 3 Razor Views?

We have graphic designers that work on the "look & feel" of our web applications. They typically work with HTML, CSS & images. How can we set up a designer's development environment to work with TFS, Asp.Net MVC 3 Razor Views? What would be the best workflow for them?
We want them to be able to check out the views / css from TFS, edit them, view the results and then check back into TFS.
How can they see their changes to views & css if they don't have the full Visual Studio or IIS or IIS Express?
Should we periodically deploy a web application to a web server for them to work on?
I believe you can download Visual Web Developer Express for free. Once they get that, they can run the project locally (assuming they have access to the database if there is one).
I'm not sure if the TFS plugin is free, if it is then they can work with source control.
