In Windows XP clipbrd is the command to open the clipboard viewer.we can able to see the current copied items or the Path.
In Windows 7 what is the command to open clipboard viewer..?
can any one tell me the answer..?
There is no clipboard viewer in Windows 7 to the best of my knowledge. In fact I think clipbrd.exe was removed from Windows at Vista. However, the XP clipbrd.exe still works fine, or there are countless 3rd party clipboard viewers to choose from.

I am having a very frustrating issue which im not able to resolve.
I have created a database program on windows 7 which i am not able to run on Windows 8. The error i receive is "Error communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX Control".
To test out what is causing it i have erased VBA code and the program has started successfully. To test it out even further I have created an empty database with 1 form and vba code for a simple messagebox (Windows 7) and it has failed me on windows 8 again, same error message.
Any help would be appreciated , because google isn't helping me
EDIT: Computer language is English, Keyboard language English/Lithuanian, Region Lithuania, VBA font Arial(Baltic) tested all these as well but didn't seem to fix my issue
EDIT2: I have identified the problem , it actually is System Locale, Windows 7 computer is using system locale - Lithuania, Windows 8 is using English (US). Does anyone know how to solve this problem? my company has multiple windows 7 and windows 8 computers, changing locale is not an option
One possible problem is the versions of the various DLLs that your VBA code uses.
In the VB editor Go into Tools/References on Windows 8 and see if there any library references that it can't find. Then look at the list below and see if you can select a later version to fix it.

What is test mode and how to remove test mode watermark in windows 7 ?
When Windows Start The following message was displayed in desktop
Test mode Windows 7 build 7600
Windows 7, like Windows Vista has several watermarks which appear when certain situations warrant it so. One of them is the Test Mode watermark. This watermark may appear in the bottom right part of your Windows desktop, if you install an application whose drivers are not digitally signed by Microsoft and if they are still in the testing phase. What is Test Mode in Windows
Most are familiar with For testing purposes only, Evaluation copy, Safe Mode, etc watermarks. The Test Mode is not so familiar a watermark, however!
The TESTSIGNING boot configuration option determines whether Windows 7 or Vista will load any type of test-signed kernel-mode code. This option is not set by default, which means test-signed kernel-mode drivers will not load by default on 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and later versions of Windows.
For 64-bit versions of Windows 7 & Vista the kernel-mode code signing policy requires that all kernel-mode code have a digital signature. However, in most cases, an unsigned driver can be installed and loaded on 32-bit versions of Windows Vista and later versions of Windows, explains MSDN.
When you start your Windows 8-based or Windows 7-based computer, you receive the following message in the lower-right corner of the desktop, depending on your version of Windows.
Windows 8.1
Test mode Windows 8.1 build 9490
Windows 8
Test mode Windows 8 build 9200
Windows 7
Test mode Windows 7 build 7600
Note This message may also mention a more specific edition of Windows. For example, the message may be, “Test mode Windows 8 Pro build 9200.”

bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF
After you see the confirmation, close the Command Prompt window. Save any unsaved work, and then restart the computer.

I am trying to run an old Clipper application. It runs fine on Win 7 32bit but when I try using the DOSBox 0.74 it crashes with the following error:
Exit to error: CPU_SetSegGeneral: Stack segment zero
Are there some settings I forget to set when running the DOSBox?
I need to be able to run this app in DOSBox as it appears to be only portable solution that would work on any Win 7, being it 32 or 64bit.
If no apparent solution is known for this problem maybe you can tell me what alternatives I have to run a Clipper 5.3 application on a Win 7 64-bit Home edition?
EDIT:
I tried it on Win 7 Home 64 bit with the very same result. What can I do?
I used clipper many years ago, clipper does cause problems because incorrect config.sys configuration, specially the setting "FILES" must be big enough (let´s say 200) for your application, but "original" dosbox does not provide a way to adjust this setting.
Try the patch from http://www.shdon.com/blog/2009/09/05/adjustable-files-setting-in-dosbox
This patch allows to configure FILES adding a new setting on dosbox options file
Steps:
Backup dosbox.exe and replace it with the patched version
Edit the dosbox options file and add FILES=200 to the [DOS] section
Try it and post the results since i don't have clipper 5.3 to test.
Wanting to close this question I will write what was the only solution thanks to which I was able to run that aged application on Win7 64bit.
It was VMLite XP Mode.
I simply followed the steps described in their how to guide and it was up and running then I copied my application into the VMLite XP Mode, and it was running fine.
Finally I created, after some googling, a shortcut to my desktop and now I can easily start the application from my Win7 64bit desktop which then lunches the VMLite XP Mode which starts the application :) or something along this lines anyway, so far, it works great.

Running Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, and Internet Explorer 8 on the same machine
I need to test a website with IE7.
Does anyone know if there was a way of doing this in windows7 without setting up a VM with XP+SP2 on it?
Expression Web SuperPreview is Microsoft's own tool for this.
I like IETester a lot. Works pretty good and no need to have the old versions installed. It runs on 7 as well.
You can try Spoon Browser Sandbox.
Kind of stumped - I have an application I've built (it's an old Visual FoxPro app) that won't pin to the Windows 7 task bar. Before you jump and say - FOXPRO is at fault - I have several other FoxPro apps running the same exact environment and they pin to the taskbar just fine. VFP 9 apps are EXEs with a runtime dependency but otherwise act like any other Windows exe.
I duplicated the behavior on another machine as well with a full installation package, but the app just will not pin.
I'm stumped and have no idea what could be the problem.
A couple of things i've tried that didn't work:
Remove the icon from the EXE in case
there's some Windows Icon convention
problems
Remove manifest and config files use
with app
Ran from shortcut - ran from EXE
directly

Here's the blog post your wrote about this shortly after you asked this question. I thought I'd post it in case others are having the same problem. Unfortunately there must be other reasons this can happen because I'm having issues with pinning notes.exe to the taskbar and looking around the net, others are too.
