Is it possible to push a page from down to up? - windows-phone-7

I am trying to migrate one iphone app to wp7.
Is it possible to push a page from down to up in wp7?

I believe you're looking for page transitions like the 'sheet up' animation seen on iPhone.
Check out http://www.windowsphonegeek.com/articles/wp7-transitions-in-depth--key-concepts-and-api - the code there uses the silverlight toolkit, and references TurnstileTransition, but you can do the same with one of the other transtions. The one you are looking for is SlideTransition.

Xamarin forms iOS default mail app Behavior

As per the requirement of the project I need to have the page which should behave as the default Apple Mail app on the iPhone.
Attaching a gif that I have created for the same.
I tried using the plug in https://github.com/rotorgames/Rg.Plugins.Popup
but I couldn't achieve the exact same behavior where the background shrinks and expands as the modal pop up is dragged.Any leads, examples or demos will be really helpful.
Note: I am using Xamarin.Forms.
With the new Xamain Forms update. i.e. after iOS13
The model behavior has became the default model behavior for Xamarin iOS.
When you do.
Navigation.PushModalAsyn(<your_page_here>).
It gives the above (gif) behavior.

kendo ui back button breaks my app navigation

I have tried to get the data-role="backbutton" kendo mobile ui feature to work but I am having issues. When testing the app on my iPhone 4 I get stuck in my app because the back button breaks the UX.
What happens is that when I am testing, I click heaps of back buttons (as they are used quite heavily in my app) and then randomly one decides to slide the previous view into the screen but only goes halfway and then snaps back (or some other type of visual glitch occurs). Then after that, all my navigation breaks down and I get stuck in the last view that I was in. Or better yet the links go to places that they are not supposed to. My tab bar does not work and either do links in the header. I have to exit the app completely, remove it from operating and try again. Seriously something wrong going on here.
I have tried to programatically add the back button by following the Kendo UI documentation but that does not work either. I am left with a button that does absolutely nothing when clicked - it may not even solve the issue anyway. I have looked using developer console in Google Chrome but I can't see any obvious issues.
Has anyone using Kendo Mobile UI experienced this issue before?
I downloaded the latest release of the Kendo UI build and the problem seems to have been resolved. Surprising! I assumed the Kendo framework was a bit more mature to be experiencing such a big issue. It was occurring when using slide transitions in navigation. Here is a link to the bug post on Github https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core/issues/66

Phonegap basics - designing ui for iphone and android

I'm developing an application both for Iphone and Andriod using Phonegap.
I came up with all kinds of plugins JQuery, JQTouch and more,
What is the recommended way of doing this?
Meaning-designing a generic UI (tabbars, tables, navigation bars etc') for both Iphone,Android that will "feel" native?
Thanks,
Asaf
If you want your application to look as native as possible I'd try jQuery Mobile.
The documentation is brilliant and all of elements look native to the iPhone. It's also incredibly easy and quick to build up your UI as all of the design and colour scheme has already been done.
I've used this in an Android application that I've made and I've so far received very positive reviews.
You may also want to look out for Kendo UI which is out this month! Again, very similar to what jQuery mobile is about with a few exceptions. It has great support for graphs and data, and promotes native Android look and feel.
Sencha Touch has just released version 2 and it is a good JS toolkit as well.
I feel I have to put my hat in the ring for jQTouch. Although the version downloadable from their site is a bit oldish, if you get it from GitHub it is currently maintained and works well on both iOS and Android. https://github.com/senchalabs/jQTouch
Also, if you want the fixed headers or footers with scrollable elements in-between, DataZombie's fork of jQTouch includes iScroll which does a great job of this. https://github.com/DataZombies/jQTouch
I am also in the process of developing a theme for jQTouch that will allow apps on Android to feel quite a bit more "native" than the other js kits as they all seem to have a very iOS-cenrtic navigation style (e.g.: back buttons on toolbars instead of relying on the hardware back button, etc). Even if you don't want to wait for my theme, making your own is pretty easy on jQTouch. I would not call myself a designer and I managed. ;)
Feel free to choose one of the other answers, but keep jQTouch in mind. I tried and tried other JavaScript frameworks and it was the only one that made it possible to look good on both platforms.
jQuery Mobile works awesomely.. and with the theme roller coming soon it will be pretty good.
Kendo Mobile UI - Pre release rip.. I have a working Eclispe project here.. markup is identical to jQuery mobile.. but this is faster, nice native looking apps. Take a look

Is there a way to display HTML in an XNA game on WP7

Is there a way to display a browser control over the top of an XNA game on Windows Phone 7?
Basically I need to display some HTML, and then allow the user to return to the game.
So it can be full-screen if need be. It could even involve switching to Internet Explorer, if there's a way to return to the game from IE?
Is this possible?
It was announced that XNA and Silverlight would be available together in the same app starting with Mango update.
That might allow you to get what you're after.
I am not certain It would be nice if we could pop an html screen like we do on the iPhone. I know if you embed an url you can open ie. but as far as I know you can only get back to your game via the hardware back button.
You are not able to directly display HTML content in your XNA application due to the differences in the UI core. You are able, however, to invoke the WebBrowserTask. All you need to do is add a reference to Microsoft.Phone and then add a using statement for Microsoft.Phone.Tasks.

How to make or use a standard Image Viewer for WP7

I want to make an app that shows pictures. But I want to be able to zoom in and out with gestures. I fixed this by including a toolkit into my project. But my actual question is, can I use or is there a control that's already created for me to show pictures like the picture library of the WP7 phone itself. I thought there wasn't but the Facebook app has a similar way of showing the pictures. Did Facebook rewrite the whole thing or is there a control somewhere that someone made?
The SlideView control in Telerik's RadControls for Windows Phone sounds like what you're looking for.
Have you tried a MultiScaleImage control? It's designed to work with multiple layers, but if you only specify one layer, it might suit what you're trying to do.
