Is it the right time to start a long duration project for windows 7 mobile ? as silverlight and flash are dying away ... and HTML 5 which would be the future platform ... or should i wait for some more time for windows 7 to extend support HTML 5 ?
Windows Phone 7 HTML 5 support is not yet good enough. So if you want to create a application for WP7 then you would need to use Silverlight.
The HTML 5 support will be better in WP8 but it's not yet sure when it will be released and how good the support will be.

Does anybody know about a difference in the inertia values between Windows 7 and Windows 8?
I'm using the same machine with both OSs, but get a totally different values on Windows 8, which affects the behavior of my application.
Just for the record, It's a regular win32 app, c++.

What service or tool are you using to track your Windows Phone 7 apps on the marketplace (ranking over time, reviews across all markets)? This is probably not the best forum to ask this question. However since some people on must be developing apps for WP, I am sure someone knows.

If you use mango aka windows phone 7.1, the easiest way is to go for the built in local database
