Remote debugging in VB6

Closed 3 years ago.
I wondering if I can remote debug vb6 application like in c#. I want to debug another computer across a network.
I looked at Remote debugging in VB6 but it doesn't help me.
Not down to VB6 code level. Normal debugging tools will help you debug at the assembly level, possibly with some code annotation but that's it.

I know what bootstrap.css.map is and how to remove it. My question is different.
Is this file being loaded on normal customers' browsers, or does it only get pulled in when I open Chrome Developer Console?
Basically map files are for developers. It is not required on production machines.
You could go through following answer on stack overflow this will help you understand concept better.

Running threads count

Closed 8 years ago.
I am doing a Systems Programming task on Windows, and I have to list all the threads spawned by a particular process. Is there a function for this task in WIN32 API? I looked at the thread and process page but couldn't find the relevant function.
You can use Microsoft's Tool Help library.
It gives you what you need.
BTW, check out ProcessExporer, it provides a lot of details about running proceses.

Creating Documentation from VB Script Code [closed]

Is there a standard way of documenting vbscript?
Doxygen doesn't currently appear to support vbscript, but are there any similar tools available?
As suggested in the other question linked to by oracle certified professional, VBSdoc will create vbscript documentation using a doxygen-like syntax.
VBDOX is an alternative.

I inherited a headache. I have a small legacy (GUI) app that was developed 10 years ago and the VB6 source code is long gone. It works currently on a couple of old XP PCs and I was asked to see if I could get it working on Windows 7 64bit. Well… that was a no go, so I tried a 32bit version to verify that 64 wasn’t the issue and it didn’t work. So I then created an XP virtual machine and it didn’t work either. The issue is the same on all three environments. You double click the .exe and nothing is displayed but when you look under task manager, it’s there and pegging the CPU.
I downloaded Dependency Walker and it seems that all the required dlls and OCX files are there. Can anyone suggest anything else? I’m really at a loss here. Anything would be appreciated!
The standard approach is to download and run ProcessMonitor, set it to filter just your executable, run your executable and ProcessMonitor will capture what DLLs/Files/ Registry settings are being used by your application.
Have you confirmed you have the VB6 runtime files installed?

I'm not sure if they are included in Win7 anymore and they were only in XP in one of the later service packs.
