I'm using a Windows Phone 7.5.
Is there a way to automatically sync the current time with some internet time server?
I'm really surprised about the fact that I need to enter the time manually. Even more, my clock was shifting about 3 minutes in 4 weeks.
Kind regards Georg
Automatic time is work only if your mobile operator provide this service, it's not SNTP sync.
You can only check time is actual with Internet Time app
However no such possibility to change system time from application, so no such app, that can automatically sync time from internet.
Go to Settings => date+time and make sure that 'Set automatically' is set to on
This should sync the clock to an internet server

I am doing a production at my school tonight, and we have a massive issue. The laptop which controls the lighting system has an automatic shut down time at 9.00. The show runs until almost 10.00 and when the laptop shuts down, as you can imagine, so do the lights. This is something which happens to all the PC's in the school. I'm pretty sure we have admin rights on the laptop itself, I just don't know how to disable this. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
I donĀ“t know how the auto shutdown is implemented and I guess it needs to be working again the next day.
So the easiest method i can think of would be to set the laptops time to like 8 in the morning when you start setting up your presentation. This gives you a 13 hour time window before the auto shutdown kicks in. After your presentation just reset the time to the correct time.
If the Laptop has an Internet connection during the presentation maybe also disable automatic time setting (NTP) or it might update itself during the presentation and shut down anywas.

I am considering upgrading my work computer to use windows 8 as the new file transferring feature seems very useful. Unfortunately after installing windows 8 on my home pc to test it out, the files are being transferred in separate dialogs as opposed to this image provided by microsoft.
As I am transferring files constantly a single transfer dialog would make things much less confusing. Does anyone know what settings to change to make file transfers appear in the same window?
To make file transfers appear in the same window you need to transfer files locally.
This is because a network connection can break out at anytime.

Sort of out of the programming realm, but does anyone have a recent waiting time for the Mac App Store? I submitted mine a week ago and still nothing..
Zach
It takes at least 10-15 working days at the moment for a new app or a major update, 4-5 working days for minor updates. Be patient, they are overloaded at the moment.
I am not so sure about Mac App but they take 4-5 Working Days to approve iOS(iPads and iPhones) App Acc.
What's your current status ?

Is there a way to set the maximum CPU usage for a process in Windows 7?
You could check out "CPU rate limits in Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7" - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff384148%28WS.10%29.aspx
But be aware of the warning in http://blogs.iis.net/thomad/archive/2010/02/15/put-the-brakes-on-your-application-pools-cpu-rate-limits-in-windows-7.aspx. It says:
Now here comes the drawback. The CPU Rate Limit feature has a bug. The kernel is holding on to a handle to the quota object and never lets go of it. This means once you set the CPU rate limit to a particular percentage you can't change this percentage without rebooting the machine. We are working on fixing it - not sure when we'll have a fix though. I have no idea if this bug is fixed.
Open Task Manager. Right click on the process you want more CPU usage and select the Priority level you want.

How can i detect an elite proxy?
it's ok if i don't get them all, since it won't be possible
but atleast most of them?
Activities that should require more than one destination (most web browsing) yet constantly show up as the same destination are a good indicator of a proxy.
If a single site accounts for more than 20-30% of a user's request, it might be worth looking into to see if that is a proxy or not. This should mean you'd only ever manually investigate 2 or 3 sites per user. You can adjust this threshold as convenient.
For sure, you need solid logging for your network environment.
