Regards,
Rangana

i have used the jdbc driver named ojdbc14_noneXe.jar, it solved my problem. :)
FYI - i'm connecting to a remote oracle development database, not an local installation on my mechine!

You can set the timezone to IDEA. This will prevent this error.
Add the next line to file idea.vmoptions :
-Duser.timezone=your_database_timezone
Here's some explanation on how to get your database timezone

in eclipse go run - > run configuration
in there go to JRE tab in right side panels
in VM Arguments section paste this
-Duser.timezone=GMT
then Apply - > Run

Corda Node H2 illegal State Exception

we are having an issue in one of our corda nodes, everytime we try to restart we see following error:
[1;31mE 08:18:33-0400 [Node thread-1] spi.SqlExceptionHelper.logExceptions - General error: "java.lang.IllegalStateException: This store is closed
Additinoally if I tried to access to node H2 DB in Internet Explorer I get this error message: 90047BVersion mismatch, driver version is "0" but server version is "16"ÿÿÿÿ_¿\org.h2.jdbc.JdbcSQLException: Version mismatch, driver version is "0" but server version is "16" [90047-194] at org.h2.message.DbException.getJdbcSQLException(DbException.java:345) at org.h2.message.DbException.get(DbException.java:179) at org.h2.server.TcpServerThread.run(TcpServerThread.java:89) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)
Any idea about rca of this issue?
Thanks!!
Javier
I just tried to run this queryableState CorDapp samples. The H2 database seems working fine.
I would suggest you check your log to see if there is any error message during the deployNodes process. Just in case, there is something wrong with the java environment.

unable to connect Sql Developer using JDBC URL

I have jdbc URL as follows.
jdbc:oracle:thin:#(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=localhost)(PORT=8888))(LOAD_BALANCE = on)(CONNECT_DATA =(SERVER=DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX.com)))
When I connect using this URL from sql developer getting error as follows.
error ora 00604 error occurred at recursive sql level 1 ora-01882 timezone not found
I'm using Mac. If I go to .sqldeveloper -> 4.1.x -> product.conf.
There was a suggestion to change the tz to AddVMOption -Duser.timezone=CET . But I dont find any file called "sqldeveloper.conf".
Any idea here.
Resolved it by adding timezone values in sqldeveloper in product.conf file.
The path was : /Users/username/.sqldeveloper/4.1.5/product.conf (in MACS).
Added line was:
AddVMOption -Duser.timezone=GMT

Unable to connect to Oracle with SchemaSpy

I've installed Oracle Instant Client 64 bits, when connecting with SchemaSpy I get the error message below.
PLEASE NOTE: Both these files exist
C:\app\instantclient_12_1\ojdbc6.jar
C:\app\instantclient_12_1\ocijdbc12.dll
And "C:\app\instantclient_12_1\" is in the PATH.
I've tried C:\app\instantclient_12_1\ojdbc7.jar as well, same result.
Windows 7 64 bits.
Would greatly appreciate any help from anyone who got this to work correctly.
Error message:

Here's how to run SchemaSpy 6 against an Oracle database:
Dependecies
Make sure you have the following available on your machine:
The lastest version from schemaspy.org, the following will describe the process for schemaspy-6.0.0-rc1.
The Oracle JDBC thin driver, otherwise you'll have to mess around with Oracle OCI. You can get it from Oracle Database 12.1.0.2 JDBC Driver & UCP Downloads
SchemaSpy uses GraphViz to generate the diagrams, get it from graphviz.org. You'll need to update you PATH variable, add C:\Program Files (x86)\Graphviz2.38\bin to it (make sure the version fits the one you downloaded).
Database Type
Note, SchemaSpy supports Oracle OCI (-t ora) and Oracle Thin (-t orathin) as database types. To get the list of available database types:
java -jar schemaspy-6.0.0-rc1.jar -dbhelp
Configuration
You can put most configuration parameters into a file called schemaspy.properties, put this file into the same directory as schemaspy-6.0.0-rc1.jar.
Example schemaspy.properties:
# type of database. Run with -dbhelp for details
schemaspy.t=orathin
# path to the dowloaded oracle jdbc drivers, for example
schemaspy.dp=C:\tools\dbdoc\drivers\ojdbc7.jar
# database properties: host, port number, name user, password
schemaspy.host=[orcale database host]
schemaspy.port=[orcale database port, usualy 1521]
schemaspy.db=[database name or SID]
schemaspy.u=[username]
schemaspy.p=[password, for complexer ones, put it in quotation marks]
# output dir to save generated files
schemaspy.o=C:\tools\dbdoc\output
# db scheme for which generate diagrams
schemaspy.s=[scheme name]
Generate documentation
With the configuration in place, now all you have to do is run:
java -jar schemaspy-6.0.0-rc1.jar

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI - v11.1.1.3) "unable to load language: beanshell" Error

Following an install of Eclipse 3.7.2 on my Ubuntu 12.04 development machine, I have been unable to execute any ODI packages/interfaces/procedures. On execution (for both simulated and actual runs), an error is thrown (java trace below). I am not sure if it's anything to do with the Eclipse install, but it seems likely. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?
Also, when launching ODI from the terminal using 'bash odi', the following error is displayed in the terminal:
2013-08-15 14:43:46.162 ERROR Error during RuntimeClassLoader initialization. ODI will start without RuntimeClassLoader

After digging around for about a day on this issue, I brazenly tried running ODI as the root user on the off chance that this was a permissions issue. I started ODI from the command line (using 'bash odi') for greater verbosity, and it loaded without the error mentioned above. Something gave me the impression that this wasn't a permissions issue, but one related to the user settings.
To rectify the issue, I removed my user's odi settings folder (renaming it, for safety):
mv ~/.odi ~/.backup_odi
Then I started ODI from the terminal under my own user (i.e. not root) - there were no errors! None of my connections were available in the new settings folder though. This I fixed by closing ODI and entering the following:
cp ~/.backup_odi/oracledi/snps_login_work.xml ~/.odi/oracledi/
If anybody else encounters this issue, I hope you find this post quicker than it took me to fix it!
org.apache.bsf.BSFException: unable to load language: beanshell
The exception was thrown because bsh-2.Ob4.jar was not in the classpath and it is a dependent jar of bsf.jar

Crystal reports - connection to JDBC failed

I am trying to make a connection to JDBC(JNDI) in Crystal Reports and I get the following error :
Invalid Argument provided.
Details: Java Server startup failure. Please verify the PATH (JDK), CLASSPATH and IORFileLocation properties in the CRConfig.xml file. In addition, please verify you are using JDK 1.4.
I am using the connector : mysql-connector-java-5.1.6-bin.jar, jDK 1.6.
Thank you!
I finally found the problem!
The directory associated to IORFileLocation (which is C:\Windows\temp for me) was for some reason readOnly.
So, problem fixed.
Thank you, anyway!
