Is it possible to use WebCenter Portal to store and version documents (pdf, doc, xls etc) without buying WebCenter Content separately?
WebCenter portal comes with limited Webacentr content license, so you can have the basics of Universal content management in your portal

Current Scenario:
We added a new Report Layout shared component by uploading FOP XML file in the application hosted on Oracle Application Express(apex.oracle.com) site. The PDF report generated successfully when we tried to test the layout.
Question:
Which FOP print server is currently being used at Oracle Application Express(apex.oracle.com) to generate PDFs?
As per Oracle Docs, Apache FOP is not available anymore in ORDS installations. So, why are report layouts based on FOP XML supported on this site? Are they using different FOP PDF generators?
Thanks, Kevin Brown! I was able to figure out the PDF generator, the APEX site is using BI Publisher.
When I want to create WebCenter Portal Application from JDeveloper 12c, I can't find this option in the gallery, how I usually do this from JDeveloper 11g.
You need to install the WebCenter extension using help->check for updates
(or get it from here - http://www.oracle.com/ocom/groups/public/#otn/documents/webcontent/156082.xml#oracle.asset-publishing-ext )
The Portal Asset Application lets you create the portal assets (page templates, layouts, skins, content presenter templates, etc) that can be deployed to your webcenter portal. Portlet producer similarly let's you create portlet producer applications that can be used in webcenter.
I am using Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management 2.0.0 . I want to automate the create portal process .Is there any way by which it can be accomplished ? Is it possible to add it through back end i.e. using DB.
Yes. Insert entries into CI_PORTAL and CI_PORTAL_L tables
Can you migrate system users prepared in staging database to CRM 2013 Online using SCRIBE?
I need to create 750 users (currently in CRM4) in CRM online and assign them to their source BUs. (Root BU excepted). I can stage them as required.
Can I migrate these users?
You cannot create users to a CRM Online using Scribe, you can only update them.
I have this issue recently and my solution was:
Create a DTS to create an CSV file* with the users: You can add the users using the Office portal or through the PowerSehll.
Creates a DTS with all the other information about the users (The CSV is pretty basic, so you will need to add all the other information related to every user).
Create a DTS with the relation between Users and Roles
*You can see the csv format in your Office portal, under Users->Active Users->Bulk add
https://portal.office.com/default.aspx##/UserManagement/ImportFile.aspx?refer=%2FEAdmin%2FUser%2FActiveUsers16.aspx
Maybe there is a quicker way to do it, but this was the approach I found.
Note that Scribe Insight isn't able to change a users business unit.
When I had a similar requirement (to update the business units of a large number of users) I uses SQL Server Integration Services.

I am new to Oracle and I've developed an Oracle Portal using OracleAS Portal 10g release 2 (10.1.4). I need to move the application on another computer, and I was thinking of copying it on a CD but no matter I've tried I wasn't able to find the portal pages, nor the images or documents that I've included.
Can anybody help me please?
Thank you!
I think I've found an answer: I made a transport set. Transport sets are documented in the Portal Administrator's guide http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/portal.1014/b19305/cg_imex.htm#i1030999.
