Appharbor build error - appharbor

On attempting to build an MVC application on appharbor I'm consistently getting the following error -
AfterBuild:
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_compiler.exe -v
temp -p D:\temp\yjartxut.xdg\output_PublishedWebsites\groundstour
ASPNETCOMPILER : error ASPRUNTIME: The current identity
(IP-0A7AA6EA\apphb3308801b5493433) does not have write access to
'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET
Files'.
I've searched the appharbor support forums but can't find a thread that deals with an error similar to the one above, could anyone shed any light on the error or what I could do to fix it?

This was an AppHarbor-problem, and it should now be resolved.

Getting started with Open Liberty: 404

I'm trying to follow the guide here - https://openliberty.io/guides/getting-started.html. I'm on the Building and running the application step. I ran "mvn liberty:run" and Open Liberty started without any errors but when I go to http://localhost:9080/system/properties I get the error below.
Error 404:
com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.servlet.exception.NoTargetForURIException: No
target servlet configured for uri: /system/properties
Any suggestions?
At the end of each guide in the "Nice Work! Where to next?" section, each guide has link:
Raise an issue to share feedback
which I would recommend for these kind of questions as you're likely going to get a quicker response if you open an issue directly against the code you're using.

Azure App Service recently started throwing an error: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore, Version=2.1.4.0

I didn't change anything, and my Azure App Service started throwing the error:
An error occurred while starting the application.
FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly'Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore, Version=2.1.4.0 ...
Which seemed odd, so I tried adding Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore v2.1.4 with Nuget, and from that i just get a white error screen with
This page isn’t working
[WEBSITE] is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500
With no other errors.
This all works perfectly fine locally (as always...) - I am not sure where to go from here? Any ideas? Thank you.
The error is because of the different versions between packages.
Please use this command in PM.
Install-Package Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.CodeGeneration.Design -Version 2.0.3

WebMatrix 2 site problems on upload to host

I have developed a Web Pages 2 website for my company using WebMatrix 2 that includes a simple SQL Compact Edition (.sdf file) database. Sounds simple. Runs perfectly on my local development box.
However, upon FTP to my Web host, it's a no-go. The first error I received was this:
Server Error in '/' Application.
Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider. It may not be installed.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.ArgumentException: Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider. It may not be installed.
Source Error:
Line 1: #{
Line 2: WebSecurity.InitializeDatabaseConnection("Omniflow", "UserProfile", "UserId", "Email", true);
Line 3: }
I have searched and searched and searched the Internet, trying to find out what the source of this problem is and how to fix it. I haven't found the answer yet. I gather than apparently some needed assemblies/dlls are not being uploaded with the application. I have tried both FTP and the Web Deploy method with no fix.
Is this the root of the problem? And why does WebMatrix not upload all its dependencies? If it cannot, why is there nothing in the online literature from Microsoft--and it should come from Microsoft--or anyone else describing this issue?
Are you using one of the hosting sites listed on the Microsoft WebMatrix page: http://www.microsoft.com/web/webmatrix/ ? I know that when I deployed my WebMatrix site to a generic IIS server, it took some extra DLL's in the bin directory, and a couple of settings to be fine tuned before it worked.
While publishing check whether your have selected Database file( .sdf file ) or not.If not then select it and publish.
Hope it will work for you.
Ensure that you have all the SqlCE DLLs required for accessing the SqlCE database.
They should be present in the bin\, bin\x86\ and bin\AMD64\ folders.
You can try creating a new site using Site from Template -> Empty Site (ASP.NET) and checking the bin folder to see which all dlls are present.
If you don't already have them in your site, add them. That should solve your problem.

the type exists in both asp.net

I just integreated blogengine.net into my exting webapplication(not a website)
To do this I have converted all blog engine pages into webapplication page. set namespace references according to the application folders
I have built solution successfully. But when I run main application following error occured.
Compilation Error
Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.
Compiler Error Message: CS0433: The type 'MyStore.App_Code.Controls.PostPager' exists in both 'c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\6332283b\32bb0d6a\App_Code.afjt0bia.dll' and 'c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\6332283b\32bb0d6a\assembly\dl3\faca6d87\a3e83425_6ad8cd01\MyStore.DLL'
I have checked all the namespace refferences but I haven't found any duplicate refferences.
please help me to get out of this.
Move your code files out of the App_Code folder and put them in a Classes folder.

Error deploying sharepoint solution

While deploying solution I am getting following error after changing the template name in sharepoint site definition solution.
Error occurred in deployment step 'Activate Features': Cannot resolve model for the Feature with ID: 1c7016c9-7920-4140-89c9-f517a3517d0c.
Any guess?
Finally I was able to get this fixed by removing some unnecessary lits/content types which were lying without any use. also there was a problem with urls of workflow task which were too long.
hope this helps for others too.
