framework not found QGLViewer - macos

I am trying to install QGLViewer. When I compile it with QTcreator everything goes well, but when I try to build one of its examples, it gives me this error:
framework not found QGLViewer
I know that it is installed, because when I do
otool -D /Users/sara/Library/Frameworks/QGLViewer.framework/Versions/Current/QGLViewer
the response is QGLViewer
I really want this library to work. What could be the problem?

It was a bug. It was fixed in the last update.

Having trouble locating `v8_base` while attempting to update a library

I found this project by Sony which serves as a wrapper around the V8 engine that exposes just enough functionality to be useful.
As is, the project references V8 version 7.1.177. I was trying to update to version 7.9.317.31.
The following is the v8gen invocation:
tools/dev/v8gen.py x64.release -- v8_use_snapshot=false v8_enable_i18n_support=false
And the following is the Ninja invocation:
ninja -v -C out.gn/x64.release
The issue I'm having is that when I change the version indicated in the build script I encounter a build error complaining about the directory /v8/out.gn/x64.release/obj/v8_base is missing. My guess is that v8_base is now called something else, but I can't find that documented anywhere.
I'm a bit out of my depth here so I'm not really sure where I should even start looking as far as documentation goes.

How to use Xcode to compile ("Command /usr/bin/make failed with exit code 2")?

I used to use the Terminal to compile C-programs written in Xcode so far(it is so much easier..). Now i would like to use the debugger as well.
I found this manual http://classes.engr.oregonstate.edu/eecs/winter2017/cs261-001/Resources/XcodeTutorial.pdf and am trying to act exactly how it suggests.
However, every time i tried to press the 'build' button i got this error:
Command /usr/bin/make failed with exit code 2
The only posts i find regarding this are
Using CocoaPods stops iOS build using ionic Project (as it concerns cocoapods i guess that plugin is not helpful.)
These guys had a similar problem..
/usr/bin/make failed with exit code 2 but i do not get the solution in the last post.
If you know what the error wants to tell..please translate it for me.
I realise that this is no programming but rather an i_am_lost_with_Xcode question. Please help though by sending a link to another manual or giving me a hint how to just compile with Xcode.
Well..it worked out. I created a new project and chose as a template OS X>Application>Command Line Tool. I am not sure how but it builds fine now.

Missing AllegroTTF-5.0.framework

I have actually followed the guide http://wiki.allegro.cc/index.php?title=OSX,_Xcode_4,_Framework to install the allegro5 and AllegroTTF-5.0.framework was missing and so i deleted everything and followed http://stefanhendriks.wordpress.com/2013/01/11/getting-started-with-allegro-5-1-on-mac-os-x-10-8-xcode-4-5-and-homebrew/ this link and still the framework is missing i just don't know where i went wrong and os that i am using is a mac can anyone help !!!!!
In the tutorial there is a step:
brew install freetype
did it work out for you as expected?
It should install the nescesary dependencies to make the TTF component of Allegro work.
If not, is there any error message you are seeing when you generate the makefile for Allegro with cmake?

How to build xmlsec on Windows

I am trying to build xmlsec on Windows... I am not an experienced C/C++ developer and not really familiar with the build process if something along the lines of "make ... make install" doesn't do the trick.
xmlsec comes with a Win32 subdirectory, a nice ECMAScript configure.js that takes an optional bunch of parameters and a readme which explains that after running the configure, "nmake ... nmake install" should do the trick. (Obviously it isn't quite that easy or I wouldn't be posting here!)
xmlsec also depends on a number of other libraries (see here for a graphic). I have downloaded the sources for those libraries.
My problem is that I don't know how to arrange those sources, or what to tell the configure.js script, in order to get a build to work.
For instance, the nmake process complains that it can't find "iconv.h" (iconv is one of the required libraries), which is not surprising because there isn't one. Instead there is an "iconv.h.in" and an "iconv.h.build.in"... which I don't know what to do with to produce the required 'iconv.h".
(I am using MS Visual Studio 2010 at the command prompt (which I think is the recommended approach.)
Does anybody out there know how to do this? Any help at all would be very much appreciated.
TIA
Mike Peat
You don't need to build xmlsec, you can directly download the wheel file from this link
https://github.com/mehcode/python-xmlsec/releases
It has all the dependencies installed with it.
have you tried the Msys with Mingw32 compiler? In Msys, you can do make and make install trick. I have successful with Msys in compile xmlsec. If you want to use Msys and have difficulties, I can help.
Anyway, in general, there must be a iconv.h file in the pre-compile folder provided by Zlatkovic (i.e C:\iconv\include\iconv.h). You may want to download again the folder. After figure out where all the dependencies are, put the path in environment path. For your information, I once tried with the configure.js but not successful. Hope that you are luckier than me :D
Hi Kristine (#Kristine T) - (and thanks for getting back to me!)
I had not been doing "make clean", but have now done so ("make clean", followed by "make" - no change in the result though).
The problem I get with the "make" is that it throws an error on compiling "dl.c" saying that "PACKAGE" is undefined (line 295).
I have also had problems using the compiled version of libxml2 - "configure" always says it can't find it (it is there, but...), so I have been using the --with-libxml-src=... parameter to configure, giving it the full source of libxml2 to work with, getting configure to at least finish OK.
I don't have the same problems with openssl or libxslt where I can either tell configure about the compiled version (using --with-XXX={path-to-dir}, or just omit ={path} bit, in which case it seems to find MinGW's own versions, but that doesn't work with libxml2.

LLVM With Haskell, Strange Linker Error

I just installed LLVM (3.0) successfully, and got the Hackage bindings (3.0.0.0). However when I try to use it, I get the following linker error:
Loading package llvm-base-3.0.0.0 ... can't load .so/.DLL for: (dlopen(lib.dylib, 9): image not found)
There is no name after "for: ", which makes this frustrating, because I don't know what it can't find. I know there isn't much information to go on, but does anyone have any idea why this could be happening?
I am running Mac OS X, in case it matters.
It's a bug in the llvm bindings installer. I had it patched locally and just sent a pull request to bos, hopefully it will get merged soon.
To fix your problem without the patch, find the llvm-base package config file. Mine is located here:
~/.ghc/x86_64-darwin-7.4.1/package.conf.d/llvm-base-3.0.0.0-*.conf
Locate this line and delete it:
extra-ghci-libraries: ""
Then run: ghc-pkg recache --user
