I want to install access 1.x to open a mdb file of that type, but I can't install the program and it give me this error:
"install a Windows for Workgroups driver"
Somewhere in internet I find that you need to install from a diskette the odbc:

Well, today early morning, i was trying again with this and found that you can import the database using access 2007, like it written in this forum:

It add you the tables in the new database.

So I have successfully installed Oracle DB 19c and connected it to Oracle SQL Developer. I am able to create tables and run queries. Furthermore, I can connect to ADW with both python and SQL Developer and any changes that I commit are seen in all locations. I am trying to connect the ADW database to Power BI. I am running all this on a personal Windows 10 Pro laptop with plenty of SSD & RAM.
In a new window of Power BI I click Get Data and then Oracle Database followed by Connect. When I do this I get a pop up that says:
The recommended provider ('Oracle.DataAccess.Client') is not installed. You can continue with your current provider, however it has been deprecated and may not work correctly.
I clock OK. Enter my Server as the TNS Name that I have used for my python and SQL Developer instances. In my ADW database, I have a table called TEST. It's a simple table with 1 column with the years 2015 through 2020 in it. Been using this to test to see if things are working. So I click on the DirectQuery and run the SQL statement SELECT * FROM TEST under the Advanced options menu and select OK. A sign in window pops up and I select the Database table and enter my correct ADW username and password. The same one that I can use to access this table from SQL Developer and then select Connect. When I do, I get this error:

So I go to the website and download the ODAC122011_x64 file from Oracle and unzip it. When I double click the setup.exe file inside the directory I get a yes/no user control account menu and I select yes and then a command prompt window flashes very quickly and then nothing happens. I ran a super slow motion capture from my phone to capture what the command window showed and below is what I see:

It does nothing after this I have tried running the oui.exe file under the install subdirectory and get nothing and I have tried running the install.exe file in Oracle Universal Installer that I acquired when installing Oracle DB 19c and I get the following error when I target the install.exe file for installation:
OUI-10118:C/Users/{my username}/Downloads/ODAC122011_x64/Setup.exe is either a directory or a corrupt file. Specify a valid filename.
This is a file that I just directly downloaded from Oracle's website and unzipped to a directory with no spaces in the directory location. I have the latest version of Java installed (JDK 15).
I am not sure the proper work around here. Why can't I get my Power BI to connect to my Oracle ADW table using the methods described in this article. Those are the instructions that I used. It appears that I need this ODAC application but I don't understand why it won't install.
Can anyone help me resolve this issue? Thanks!
Edit: I am using 64-bit on each application.
Update: Still having issues. I checked the log and this is what I am seeing:

the client version need not match the server version, Removing all other versions, and making sure that I had the x64 version,

I figured out the solution after reviewing this post. Apparently having over 2TB of free space on a hard drive causes this problem. You have to go into command prompt and create a temporary file to get your free space under 2TBs using something like this:
fsutil file createnew temp_1TB_file 1200000000000
Run the setup.exe again and then delete the temp file after.
Update: After doing all this I still was running into the same issues in Power BI. Then I read the troubleshooting notes from this page more closely and realized that I might have found the problem when it said:
If you downloaded Power BI Desktop from the Microsoft Store, you might be unable to connect to Oracle databases because of an Oracle driver issue.
I uninstalled the PowerBI Desktop that I had installed from Microsoft Store and installed it from the download from its website and tried connecting to Oracle ADW again through PowerBI and IT WORKED!!! So much troubleshooting but it finally works!
As in title, I want to install "Oracle Express 11gR2" on a Win7 machine that run Opera PMS Sotware (pms for Hotel Management) via Internet explorer.
I want to write a Python script that will use cx_oracle module.
I tryed first with "instant client" : I put its PATH in windows environnement and follows tutoriel, but i still have an import error with cx_oracle module... or an error that tell me there is no oracle application on the computer...
It seems i have to install the Oracle express instead of using the "instant client".
But first, i must be sure there will be no dependancies mixing up and messing the system...
Can i do that blindly ? I can give further info if needed

I guess Win7 machine is only an Opera PMS client. Opera PMS client machines don't depend on TNS to connect to Opera PMS Oracle Database. As you mentioned it connects over http/s.
Having an Oracle DB in the machine wouldn't harm anything on there. In fact I am doing the same on my environment.
I'm trying to install Oracle BIEE 11g on my computer, but something wiered happend.
I've tried on a x86 computer with 2GB memory and a x64 computer with 4GB memory. Both of them are running Windows OS. I want to connect a MS-SQLSERVER database, and I've finished creating related DEV_ tables using RCU.
I followed the tutorial from the doc.oracle.com, but then I stopped at the 14th step, it says "设置数据库连接失败". I can continue install, but another error occurs, service obisch1 cannot start. I can open localhost:9704 after installation, but it will return a 500-error after I restart my computer.
I searched the internet, it says I should set my database source using "Net Manager" Tool, but I don't know how. And after install I got a database source using driver "MERANT OEM 5.3 32-BIT SQL Server Wired Protocol", but I can't make change to it, cause the system says can't find the driver...
I don't know what to do now... Anybody can help me? Thanks very much.
Well, I've kind of solved it.
I still don't know why my computer cannot find the odbc drier "MERANT OEM 5.3 32-BIT SQL Server Wired Protocol", which seems to be the reason why I can't connect to the database at the 14th step while I install OBIEE.
However, I add an odbc-connect through the system's function, I found it in the control panel.
On the other hand, the url http://localhost:7001/em and http://localhost:7001/analytics can be still accessed(after a long time, it can be accessed).
So, then I create a rpd file use my own odbc-connect, and it seems work fine.

I am trying to connect to R using RODBC. However, when I run

I get this error:

For connection to PostgreSQL on Mac, you can use the package RpgSQL. Be sure to read the installation notes, as your PostgreSQL installation has to be set up for using JDBC. This is by far the easiest way. If you install PostgreSQL, you fire up the Stack Builder at the end of the installation process to do so (see the installation guide). Alternatively, you can use the Stack Builder (included in the postgreSQL installation) after installation to add extra components. Under Database drivers you should find postgresql JDBC.
The rdbi package mentioned in the comments, is removed from CRAN and afaik not maintained any more.
If you really need to use ODBC, you need a driver for PostgreSQL, and it has to be known to the ODBC implementation on your computer. The driver Jim M. gave you is one option, another one is the drivers of Openlinksw or the "official" one on pgFoundry. Normally, you should be able to download an ODBC driver from Stack Builder like you do for a JDBC driver : under the heading database drivers you have a postgresql ODBC as well.
For the newest versions of OSX, you need to install your own odbc manager apparently. Next to the one Eelke mentioned in the comments, you have the one from Apple as well here. In this manager, you can specify the driver location etc, and set up the connection to PostgreSQL through ODBC. How to do this, is dependent on the manager you use and is explained in the help files. It's always interesting to read the relevant section in the FAQ of iODBC and the sections on ODBC on Mac.
On a sidenote : In R, You can check which DSNs can be found by using the command odbcDataSources() of the RODBC package. If Postgresql is not mentioned in there, you know you have to look at your setup first.
Depending on the database you want to connect to, Actual Technologies has drivers for Mac OSX for open source databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Oracle, as well as Microsoft Access, etc, and costs about $35. Setup in ODBC administrator is straightforward whether you want to create a connection for all users on the machine (System DSN) or for user-specific level as there is a wizard that will walk through basic steps.
I created a Delphi application which utilizes an ODBC data source to access text files in csv format. The driver is the "Microsoft Access Text Driver". But when I deploy my application on a Windows 7 computer it does not work because this driver is not available (there are only two available in odbcad32: sql native client and sql server)
How can I install this driver? I have tried to install MDAC, but it doesn't do anything. No errors or anythinig, but it just shows a quick scroll bar and that is it. And I have heard that MDAC has been replaced by WDAC on Windows 7.
EDIT: I should add this is Windows 7 Home, not Professional.
You have to run the ODBC Administrator from this location:
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe
then you will see all the x32 drivers
You might have to install the Microsoft Jet driver. I believe that Microsoft broke it out of MDAC awhile back, and it is no longer be installed by default.
EDIT After further research it appears that they have removed the text file drivers from the jet engine entirely. You can still use the Microsoft ODBC DB Provider for ODBC Drivers to access dBase and Excel files, but no longer text files.

Why not lighten it up and use a VCL TStringList with TStringList.LoadFromFile() and forget about ODBC, MDAC, WDAC and whatever else weighs down the task at hand?
I found I could access the Microsoft text Driver if my application is compiled targeting x86 cpus.
I believe you'll need to install this package to get the text driver (among others).
Here's a CSV demo that doesn't require you to install any components or write any parsing code. If you can call my class .Create method, you can use this code without installing anything.
It uses two unit files that implement the JvCsvDataSet component, which is still a class, which can be instantiated the same way you can create a TStringList, you just create a TJvCsvDatSet.
