Like, Share and Tweet. Is a Facebook and Twitter account required? - social-networking

I am planning on using the following social networking elements on my website:
Facebook Like
Facebook Share
Tweet
Do I need a facebook and twitter account to use the above on my website so that users can either like, share or tweet?

Only the users need accounts to like, share.
You will however need an apikey for the users to log into your app.
For Facebook:
You get this key by creating a new app #

Separate Google login from Google Calendar API

I have a platform that allows people to sign up/log in with their Google account.
Inside the platform, there is a calendar feature where people can connect their Google Calendar and share the data between our app.
I'd like to know if there's a way to separate google calendar with the normal login stuff, so when they sign up with Google, we won't be asking for their Google Calendar permission. Once they are in the app, if they want to connect their Google Calendar, they can do so by clicking another button.
Currently, the 2 things are linked together and I'd like to separate them.
My app is https://clascity.com/
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Just because you use Google signin (openid connect) does not mean that you have permission to access the users Google calendar data.
Google calendar data is private user data, you need specific permission to access the users calendar data, you cant just let them login without asking for permission to access the data you need to access. The user needs to know what data you will be accessing and accept that specifically though the authorization form that google supplies.
Yes, in fact, what you are suggesting is considered a best practice [1]. Use incremental authorization as described here [2].

Getting list of documents related to a particular user in Google Apps using Admin Account

i am creating an app using google apis.i need to access user's documents through google apis using google admin account. In past i can use google docs api like this
for example i am admin of domain iritesh.com and my email address is ritesh#iritesh.com.i logged in using admin account and can retrieve documents in google drive of rajat#iritesh.com using user_id = rajat#iritesh.com.
https://docs.google.com/feeds/"+user_id+"/private/full/folder:root/contents?v=3&alt=json
but now google docs api's are deprecated.can anyone please guideline How to acheive this using google apis now.
link reference : https://developers.google.com/google-apps/documents-list/#using_google_apps_administrative_access_to_impersonate_other_domain_users
With the new API's and OAuth 2 you can accomplish this functionality but for it you will have to use Service account with domain wide delegation.
Basically with the service account it would be possible to impersonate users in the domain and make API calls in user's behalf. For getting information about documents you will use the Drive API.
Here is the documentation on service account:

And Drive API:

hope this helps.

Picasa API Authentication

I'm making a website for a friend where he can view photos from his wedding. I created a Google account, and loaded the photos to that account's Picasa. I then wrote a small PHP app that gets the URLs for all the images in that one album, and makes a nice little viewer for him.
I'm authenticating using oauth2, but I don't want anyone who goes to this app to have to sign in to that Google account to authorize the app to get the photo URLs.
My question is, what would be the best way to authorize the Google account on the server without any input from the user? I could then make my own application specific password that my friend can give to people so that they can see the photos, and no one has to worry about the Google account username and password but me.
In the end, I made the album viewable to anyone with the link. Now on my PHP parses the xml from the album link, and the account information does not have to be used at all.

Google OAuth/Google+ Api with multiple account

Spent the whole day to explore this ... api. But did not get the desired result.
Task - allow user login to my site with google account.
I have two google account. I want select what account use.
I read this doc
But this not allow select account and use "default"
I try use gapi.auth.authorize({..., authuser: -1}). This allow select account but ... i must twice select account.
I can`t find documentation about /AccountChooser
How I can correctly login with select needed account?
I find next solution - my code my blog
I use this docs Google OAuth API
Call https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth ton get access_token
With https://www.googleapis.com/oauth2/v1/userinfo?access_token= get user details
I was struggling with this problem on iOS, create a framework for it. https://github.com/Thywis/MultiAccountOauth
Basically, you have to sign in and restore the credential for multiple account, but I'm not sure why the Google iOS framework doesn't allow you to do this.

APP Inventor get current user functionality

I know on the Google App engine there is support for Google Accounts via user = users.get_current_user() functionality. I have used this and then I request the user to create account on my app. Is there anyway for the phone app to gain assess to the the user = users.get_current_user() functionality?
I have seen the example of creating a register / login on AI and storing it on TinyDB but the Google UserID is already available on the app engine. How do I access this functionality on the phone app?
with OAuth you can ask the user for permission to view his email address and read that information from his Google profile, see an example how to do that with App Inventor here http://puravidaapps.com/taifunOA.php
No, this feature does not exist. It has been proposed and can be voted for here.
