Our BizTalk Server got renamed, but when we create a new project it still keeps defaulting to the previous server. I have been looking but I can't find anywhere to set these default values and update it.
edit:
Since it might be more clear if I add an image, I did.
Basically now when a new project is created the Server in the below screen is BizTalkDev_1. Can we change this to always be localhost when we create a new project? A hidden ini file somewhere?
When you go to visual studio project. Right click the project ...go to the property...and in the deployment part you can change the server name ...

I am trying to run ColdFusion existing project in my local system, I am getting the error message below. Am I missing anything?
Selected file is not in the document root of the server. If the
project is not in the document root, create a linked folder to the
document root (selecting Project Properties > ColdFusion Project)
Try to do it:

The bottom line: In CFBuilder, go to the Servers view and right click on the local server running you are running against. When the initial screen comes up, check to make sure all of that is correct, then click NEXT. On the next view ("Local Server Settings") there is a path for the Document Root. Make sure that's correct and click Finish.
The background: I had to relocate my Apache server to a new directory with a different name. Even though I changed all of the associations in the Projects and the Workspace and the httpd.conf file for Apache, the localhost settings in CF Builder were still pointing to the old Document Root. Once I corrected that, everything worked like a champ.
I'm working with XNA 4 in VS2010. Recently a crash corrupted a .contentproj file of mine. So I deleted the content project inside VS, created a new one and repopulated it with the contents of the old one. However the new content project did not properly hook up to the rest of the program, whenever I build the program its contents aren't translated to .xnb-s and placed inside the content folder of the game as when I built the program with the original content project.
I'm sure I'm missing a step in reconnecting the new content project, I just can't seem to be able to find out what that step is. Any ideas?
Thank you.
Take a look at the properties of the imported files in Visual Studio and check they are correct. Check the Build Action specifically. It should be set to Compile.
I found a way to make it work. More a workaround than a solution, I created a new VS solution, imported everything other than the content project from the old one and used the content project that came with the new solution.
Having migrated to Win 8.1, I am now getting this message box when building an existing project.
I cannot workout how to get rid of this box as I dont need this feature. Where is the setting that is making this box appear?
On build I get this message box.
Unable to connect to a database specified in the solution.
Do you want to modify this database connection properties?
I have inspected the SLN and PROJ files and cannot see the cause. In the solution it happens for some projects and cannot see a pattern as to why two projects that are similar where one is and one is not showing the box on build.
Edit the {Projectname}.csproj.user file.
Remove the xml element
<DatabaseConnection></DatabaseConnection>
Then either restart VS to reload the project.
Or
Unload and reload the project from within the VS IDE.
Since I was getting the box due to a dependant other project in the solution, it would be a good idea to do an inspection of all csproj.user files for the xml element.
I am trying to setup TFS server for our Projects. I sucessfully setup and added one of the solution for testing to TFS source controls. But naming were test purposes only so i need to change it. I deleted TFS collections from administration panel and created a new one, but when try to add my solution to new collection it tries to connect old collection and -naturally- cannot find it, and raises error. I do not have same problem for other solutions but only for the solution i tested in the first time.
things I've tried.
file --> Source Control --> Change Source Control
Deleting all source control files in solution folder
Checked .sln file for references to old collection
Restart the computer.
edit:
Ok I have find solution to my problem.
The thing is Workspace info remained somewhere, I created a TPC and TP same name with the old ones. Then I manually removed Workspace info and then it worked.
You have to rebind the solution to the new collection using File -> Source Control -> Change Spurce Control. There you have to unbind all projects and rebind them to the new collection.

I have an issue that is occurring with one specific solution. Everything works fine for the others.
When you right-click on a web project to publish, it asks you to specify information before you publish. I choose File System, tell it to delete all files, and specify a path. After I publish and shut down the solution, I will open it later again to do another publish. After I do this, I have to set everything back up. This means browsing to the folder every time to point to the publish location.
No other projects in any other solutions have this issue. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
The simplest thing to check is that the local storage file where the web publish settings go isn't read-only. For example, make sure you haven't accidentally checked it in to source control.
The publishing profiles file will be in the same location as the project file, named $(ProjectName).Publish.xml.
Another solution I got here. After I found publish.xml file no where, I did following steps and it worked:
Right Click on Project in Solution Explorer.
Select "Build Deployment Package"
You're done.
Hope this helps somebody.

just delete $(ProjectName).Publish.xml file in project folder.
