I am trying to build the WSO2 Carbon from source and the artifact for org.apache.axis2:axis2.eclipse.codegen.plugin:bundle:1.6.1-wso2v5 fails to build because an eclipse dependency cannot be found: org.eclipse.core:commands:jar:3.3.0
I am trying to solve the issue related to the "bad file descriptor" issue in OpenID as related here Unable to configure WSO2 identity server for openID. The solution recommends a code fix but I am unable to build from source.
Can someone point me to a Maven repo with a clean version of commands.jar 3.3.0?

I created a new version in the one project, the version is x.xx.x-SNAPSHOT and used in another project as an external library then pushed it. now Jenkins build is failed.
it's saying that this new dependency is not found in my company repo. I don't have an idea how to fix this.

It's fixed now. the problem was, i haven't upload new version in maven remote repo(my company repo). now I did mvn deploy. then it's uploaded and jenkins found the needed dependency.
When importing a Play project (Play 2.3.4, Scala 2.11.4, sbt 0.13.5) into IntelliJ IDEA I get the following error message:
SERVER ERROR: HTTPS Required url=http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/jline/jline/2.11/jline-2.11.pom
According to the latest IntelliJ docs, only Play versions 2.4 and later are supported. So I downloaded an old IntelliJ version from 2016 (2016.2.5), which should have worked because the project was in active development with this IDE version back then. After finding a this article stating the Maven repo has deprecated http in favor of https, I'm not sure if the IntelliJ version mismatch is even the cause of this issue. However, the build was ok in 2016, and now I cannot fix this problem even if I create a settings.xml for Maven as described here... I still get the same error. I also tried to enable the "Override" setting in IntelliJ->Preferences->Build->Build Tools->Maven->User Settings File and pointed it to a settings.xml copy in a different folder. In both IntelliJ versions (2019.3.3 and 2016.2.5) I installed the Scala plugin directly in the IDE.
What am I doing wrong? How can I get IntelliJ to use the mirrors from my custom settings.xml?
Command-line already ran only by overriding the sbt repository as shown in this answer, IDE-based build still didn't recognize this file.
Finally solved it by bumping the sbt version at least one minor version up, to >=0.13.6 (source), from then on sbt itself uses a secure connection to the Maven repository.
I have added the latest version of AEM Mocks (2.7.2) as a Maven dependency in my AEM project. When I try to build my project, I get an error saying that this artifact cannot be found: com.day.commons:day-commons-gfx:jar:2.1.28. So I looked online, found it and added it as a dependency. But now I get the same error when trying to build. Does this artifact still exist? When trying various recent versions of AEM Mocks, I found that they all depend on this missing artifact.
For now, I downgraded to version 2.3.0, which works fine without that artifact but I would like to use the most recent version if possible.

It works without any issues for me, so I would check if you have correctly configured Maven repositories. To do it, in your Maven project root type:
mvn help:evaluate
and then:
${project.repositories}
It should list your project effective repositories. Ensure that there is Central Repository (https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/) listed. If it is there, then maybe your corporate network cuts requests to external repositories or it was temporarily down.
I have recently installed Spring Tool Suite 4.0.1 on Ubuntu 18.04 and tried to run hello world spring application but it gives the following compile-time error. I have searched on google a lot but cannot find the relevant info.

It looks like the JAR file in your local Maven repository is corrupted. The easiest way to solve this is to completely wipe out the local Maven repo (delete everything under .m2/repository and kick off an Update Maven Project... in STS. That will trigger Maven to download the dependencies again.
I am using Maven to run a Java project. My issue is that I am not able to download the dependencies. It is giving the following error

The settings.xml is properly configured with the proxy details (since I am behind a proxy) Still, I am not able to access the maven repo to download.

Currently, I am not able to create any Maven Project. I am 100% sure this is due to a proxy issue. But not able to
nail it down to where exactly the issue.
When I try creating a project selecting an archetype, I am not able to create a maven project. I am getting the below error

I try creating this project through Eclipse. The settings.xml point to the right proxy ( cross checked with the Network connections dialog (window ->General->NetworkConenction Dialog). But the issue still persists.
So what I did was installed standalone Maven and create a maven project from command prompt. To my surprise,I am not able to download the archetypes in Maven Repo though other plugins are getting downloaded (Surefire plugin and JUNit jar for example)
Is there any work around to resolve the archetype download issue?
I tried your solution, but the issue still persists. When I create a simple maven project (without using any archetypes) I am getting "Unable to build Project " Error
PS: The proxy settings are defined in settings.xml and they are correct. Also, the eclipse proxy settings are correct (Since I am able to install plugins from Eclipse MarketPlace)
