In my page there is one textbox by default and one add button beside it. I need to add the another textbox when user click Add button. And there should be two buttons Add and Remove beside newly added text box. And same process goes on i.e., user can add Textbox using Add button and remove it using remove button.
I am new to mvc 3 so i am confused how to proceed. Is there any way like placeholder in asp.net so that we can add control at runtime.
Any suggestion and idea will be helpful to me
MVC is a very "hands-off" framework compared to Web Forms, so you're free to add the new textboxes how you like. Note that "controls" don't exist in MVC.
Here's how I'd do it:

You can also add more textboxes with Javascript and it work perfectly fine. All that matters is the HTML input elements. There's no cryptic viewstate. MVC is stateless.
Note that because I used <button type="submit"> my example will not work reliably in Internet Explorer 6-8 (sucks, I know), but you can replace them with <input type="submit"> with no ill-effects.
This requires some Javascript/JQuery... The following is a sketch only, but will hopefully be useful as a general approach.
The remove button
You want to render a button that can target its own container for removal. To do that, use some markup like this:

The add button
You could either use a partial view with Ajax, or use straight Javascript; which one is best likely depends on whether you need a round-trip to the server to create a new item. Let's say you need to go the the server to generate a new ID or something.
First, create a partial view and corresponding controller action; this should contain the remove button as above, as well as the text box and add button.
Now, create an Ajax form on your main page that gets invoked when you click Add:

Works all pretty fine so far. However I now want to use this component as part of a Web form which will be sent to the controller after submission. That's why I need to access and change properties of my ViewModel 'MyViewViewModel'. Unfortunately I did not find any answer in the internet on how to do that. I can't use #model MyProject.ViewModels.MyViewViewModel like in the view because this will give me a compilation error. I wonder if I need to use #inject, but if yes, I don't know how...

When you mix Blazor in a Razor Page, you can do the following:
Render a Razor Component
Interact with a Razor Component
Pass a Razor Component values
Please keep in mind that you are dealing with two different life-cycles. So if you do work inside of a Razor Component, the component will update but not effect the Razor Page it is hosted inside of. So mixing Razor Components and Pages with forms would be difficult.
More specifically to the OP. To pass data from your ViewModel to the component you may use the following method.

About life cycles
Basically when you have a button in Blazor, it will trigger an event which causes the component to re-render. You could imagine it like an iframe, or update-panel. When you have a button in a Razor page, it does a HTTP call round trip and reloads the page entirely. There is no event system in place to tell Blazor to invoke an HTTP call round trip to refresh the Razor page's content and vise versa. You can only one-way data-bind from Razor pages to Blazor, think write-only, and only when the page loads.
To hopefully add to the info. With a ASP.Net Core MVC project host Blazor webassembly, I was trying to pass a viewmodel into a razor component using this code in my view cshtml file:

But it would fail to render the razor component if I tried to access data in the viewmodel from the razor component with an Object not set exception. I think it was accessing the data before the view model has been initialized. Maybe if I set a default value this could avoided?

Seems you also need to register the viewModel class in the services in the Blazor WASM project in the Program.cs file.

I have the following index:

The partial Create view contains an invisible div which is used to create a new product.
After doing so the partial view ProductListControl is updated.
Now I want to do so with an edit function.
Problem: It's not possible to integrate the edit page while loading the index because at this moment I don't know which product the user wants to edit.
My thought:
I'd like to call my existing edit view in an jquery modal (not the problem) so the user can perform changes.
After saving the modal is closed (still not the problem- I could handle this) and the ProductListControl is updated (here's my problem ... :().
How am I able to do so?
I've seen some tutorials but I'd like to keep it as clean & easy as possible.
Most of them are using dom manipulating and get feedback from the server (controller) by a JsonResult.
If possible I'd like to stick to the razor syntax, no pure JavaScript or jquery and if possible I'd like to avoid JsonResults.
One way might be to use the Ajax.BeginForm for your create product view.
The Ajax.BeginForm accepts a number of AjaxOptions, one being the UpdateTargetId (your DOM id, in this case your productlist div), more info here.
Then in your product controller code you can return a partial view, with the product list. So for example:

i wish to change the inner html of a view on button click but maintain the view. I know how to change the html content of a div in javascript, but how can I have the action of the button not return a different view?

Assuming you want a link to render content using ajax (and hopefully using razor) you can do something like the following:
First, setup the action to render the content partially. this can be done a few ways, but I'll keep with the logic in the action (and make it callable directly or by ajax):

I am having multiple dynamic buttons on my asp.net mvc 3 page. what is the best way to handle button click in asp.net mvc 3? there is no event handling in asp.net, so what is the best practice to hadle.?
You could handle the buttons clicks using javascript by subscribing to their click event. For example with jQuery you could give those buttons a class and then:

or if those are submit buttons of a form you could give them the same name and different values and then on the server test the value of the name parameter. It's value will equal to the button that was clicked.

If the buttons do not require the same form data, then you can create two forms with different action methods. This is the easiest solution.
If you need to use the same form data, then there are a number of methods, inclduing Darin and tvanfosson's approaches. There is also an approach based on attributes that will select the correct action method based on which button is clicked.

Depends on what the buttons are doing. If they are logically separate actions, then you could have each postback to a separate action on the server side. This often also works they are variants of the same action, Save vs. Cancel, for instance where Save posts back the form and Cancel redirects to you the previous url (say, going back to details from edit). If the buttons represent different data that would get posted back to the same action, you can give them different values. If the buttons are named, the values will get posted back along with the rest of the form, assuming they are included in the form. If posting back from AJAX, you might need to explicitly serialize the button value along with the form.

After the page is loaded the first time, if you click the Create button leaving the field empty the validation message "Please enter a Name." shows beside the field and the field itself turns pink, which is the expected behaviour.
Now by clicking the "Reload Name" link, which makes an ajax call (jquery.load(...)), the partial is reloaded, here is controller code:

I have also read somewhere that the ajax call looses all the scripts for the page, in fact I have to keep any javascript code inside the partial so that they can be rendered and used again.
In the meantime I found a workaround which is to manually render in the partial what was supposed to be rendered by #Html.ValidationMessageFor which is:

However this workaround means that if we change the type of validation or just the validation message inside the Required attribute in the ViewModel, we need to modify this hard-coded piece of html in the view.
#NickBork has a great answer here. The key is that ASP.NET's MVC rendering engine does not output the validation script if it doesn't think that there is a form. The example given hacks it buy putting in a form and then selection an inner section of HTML from was was returned, essentially throwing the outer wrapper of the form away.
There is another method so that you can just get your view:
ViewContext.FormContext = new FormContext();
With this method, there won't actually be FORM code output, but the validation markup will be there.

Validation markup (span tags, custom field attributes, etc) are not rendered unless your fields are contained within a FORM. The validation plugin itself does not work with elements outside of a form.
When ASP.NET renders your Partial View the controls are not within a form and thus do not get the elements rendered.
When you load you're partial content you'll need to parse the HTML using a jQuery selector.
In my sample below I have a TBODY on the parent View page that contains rows. When I need to add additional rows, I make a call to a View which had a form, table, tbody and collection of rows.

A couple other notes, after the validator plugin has been run on a form, it can not be called again without re-adding it (see jquery.validate.unobtrusive not working with dynamic injected elements)
To fix this, I first call the following method to remove all validators:

I can't remember where I found the solution. The reason is because you are loading a PartialView into a View that has already been parsed by the jquery.validator.unobtrusive library. You need to re-parse the unobtrusive library
