Tfs 2012 - Visual Studio 2010 ultimate use - visual-studio-2010

I have a Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate version and would like to use it with Team Foundation Server 2012. Is the native VS 2010 Team explorer enough or should I install something else to fully support the new Team foundation Server 2012?

VS 2010 will natively connect to an on premises installation of TFS 2012 and it will be able to do all of the things that it could do with a TFS 2010 server. There are a few features new to TFS 2012 (like local workspaces) that are only available if you have a VS 2012 client.
If you want to connect to tfspreview.com (TFS's new hosted service) then you will need the VS 2010 hosting GDR: https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/Downloads/DownloadDetails.aspx?DownloadID=39070

VS 2010 Can't connect projects in AzureDevops server 2019

VS 2010 connects to DevOps 2019 inhouse server, it lists all the projects properly but when you try to connect to a project it gets the latest and goes offline. This is only happening in VS 2010. VS 2015, 2017 and 2019 works perfectly.
Those who are facing the above issue when connecting from Visual Studio 2010 with Devops server 2019, please install the following.
Service Pack 1 for Visual Studio 2010
Visual Studio 2010 SP1 Team Foundation Server Compatibility GDR
After installing and restarting the machine, Above issue will resolve.

BizTalk integration into Visual Studio 2012

I am trying to integrate the BizTalk 2013 R2 templates into Visual Studio 2012 for a work project.
I tried to repair the BizTalk installation, but I still cannot find the BizTalk templates in Visual Studio.
I am using the two programs on a Windows Server 2012 workstation.
Can anyone help me understand what I might be doing wrong?
For all those interested in an answer, BizTalk 2013 R2 only works with the 2013 edition of Visual Studio. Therfore you will need to install this edition for it to be integrated.

Is it possible to use VisualStudio.com with VS2010?

Is it possible to connect to TFS hosted at visualstudio.com via Visual Studio 2010? Everything appears to point me to download and install VS2012. Is there a Windows client possibly? Please, I know I should just upgrade to VS2012, but until I do, can I use VS2010?
Yes, you can use with VS2010 but you need to install a small patch:
Visual Studio 2010 SP1 Team Foundation Server 2012 Compatibility GDR
Update provides compatibility between all VS 2010 products that connect to Team Foundation Server 2012 or the Team Foundation Service Preview

team explorer for vs.net 2010 to connect to tfs 2012

I need a team explorer for vs.net 2010 to connect to tfs 2012. Is there such a thing ?
If yes where can I download this?
If you have Visual Studio 2010 SP1 you do not require any additional components to connect to TF Server 2012 it will connect natively.
If you are connecting to TF Service then you will need the Forward Compatibility GDR which adds support for authenticating over Microsoft ID (Was Live ID).

Does TFS 2010 support Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 connections?

I have been unable to locate any information on compatibility with Visual Studio 2003 or 2005. I currently have TFS 2010 working correctly with Visual Studio 2008, but we have some developers with Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 instances.
To use VS 2003 you'll have to install the MSSCCI provider.

"Kinda"
You'll need to install a Forward Compatibility Update and even then not all features of 2010 are supported.
