Export sheet as UTF-8 CSV file (using Excel-VBA) - utf-8

I would like to export a file I have created in UTF-8 CSV using VBA. From searching message boards, I have found the following code that converts a file to UTF-8 (from this thread):

However, this code only converts a non-UTF-8 file to UTF-8. If I were to save my file in non-UTF-8 and then convert it to UTF-8, it would have already lost all the special characters it contained, thus rendering the process pointless!
What I'm looking to do is save an open file in UTF-8 (CSV). Is there any way of doing this with VBA?
n.b. I have also asked this question on the 'ozgrid' forum. Will close both threads together if I find a solution.

Finally in Office 2016, you can simply savs as CSV in UTF8.

Saving email headers as .msg

Dear StackOverflowers.
I know a few programming languages, but unfortunately VBA is not one of them.
I'm trying to make a script that saves the headers from selected mails in Outlook as .msg-files.
I found a script that opens the headers as new messages, but how to I save them as e.g. [senders domain]_[date recieved].msg instead of opening them as new mails?

Use the MailItem.SaveAs method which saves the Microsoft Outlook item to the specified path and in the format of the specified file type. If the file type is not specified, the MSG format (.msg) is used. For example:

So you want an MSG file that has no recipients, attachments, subject, etc, only the MIME headers as the body? Why do you want the MSG format then?
You can create an populate a text file using the Scripting.FileSystemObject and use its CreateTextFile method.

Also, how do I avoid, that it opens a new mail with the header?

Getting TAG metadata from pictures - Folder and Subfolder - Vbscript

I'm organizing my photos so I would like a VBscript that can Write all TAGs from my photos in a Txt file. The Script Will read the Tags from the photos that are saved on different subfolders and Write all the Tags without repetions, so I can have a list of unique Tags on this file.
The txtFile will be saved on same directory of the Vbs file.
My folder has subfolders.
The following code was developed to be used on Excel (VBA). I tried to translate it to VBS but without success. Credits to MVP Rick Rothstein.
I guess it is a start if we can modify the code to VBS.

I need a script to be able to move files with like names once there are 4 like files.

I had an answer here that involved using an array but, come to think of it, I don't think you even need an array. Just iterate each file and check for the existence of the others.

I'm not sure how the FSO will handle the fact that you're moving files out of a folder that you're currently iterating. If it complains, you may need to resort to an array after all. Something to keep in mind.

VB6: Using Acrobat Type Library to merge PDFs in VB6

I have inherited a VB6 program that uses Crystal Reports 8.5 to run reports & then export the output to a PDF. It then uses the Adobe Acrobat 5.0 Type Library to merge the resulting PDFs into a single PDF document. Our problem is that we need to upgrade the Acrobat 5.0 Type Library but it appears that the most current version of Acrobat doesn’t provide a type library that will work with VB6. Does anyone know the most recent version of Acrobat that is supported within VB6? Also, does anyone have any suggestions of how this can be upgraded without upgrading the entire application to .Net? Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

Transfering windows-specific macro to run on Mac Excel

I've recently changed from a PC to a Mac. I run a lot of a macros and 99% of them are running fine, but I have one that doesn't work on a Mac.
It runs a set of other macros across all workbooks in a file. To do this it uses strings like this:

When I try to run this on the Mac it comes back with an error:
"compile error: variable not defined"
I wonder if anyone could help me with porting this macro over to run on Mac. It was built on Excel 2007 Windows and I'm trying to run it on Excel 2011 Mac.

msoFileDialogViewList refers to a specific view of the Windows standard file dialog. The Mac standard file dialog doesn't have equivalent modes; my guess is that the InitialView parameter either doesn't exist or is ignored on the Mac platform.
I'd advise either removing the parameter entirely or using the equivalent integer value (1) instead of the symbolic name.
