How to change checkbox style in LongListMultiSelector

I need to change checkbox style in LongListMultiSelector. How can i do that? Default checkbox is, but i need something like this.
You need to modify the style of the CheckBox, use Blend to help.
When you are on the style of the checkbox look at the States window in Blend, it will help you modify the VisualStates.
I've made something that look like the thing you want:
<toolkit:LongListMultiSelector x:Name="list" >
<toolkit:LongListMultiSelector.Resources>
<Style x:Key="PhoneButtonBase" TargetType="ButtonBase">

<Setter Property="BorderThickness" Value="{StaticResource PhoneBorderThickness}"/>
<Setter Property="FontFamily" Value="{StaticResource PhoneFontFamilySemiBold}"/>
<Setter Property="FontSize" Value="{StaticResource PhoneFontSizeMedium}"/>

Animation for Button's Pressed VisualState doesn't fire

I'm working on a Windows Phone 8 project. My issue with this button:
<Button x:Name="decreaseFontButton" Foreground="{StaticResource GlobalBrush}">
<VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups>
<VisualStateGroup x:Name="CommonStates">
<VisualState x:Name="Pressed">
<Storyboard>
<ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="Height" Storyboard.TargetName="decreaseFontButton">
<DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0" Value="70"/>
</ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames>
<ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="BorderBrush" Storyboard.TargetName="decreaseFontButton" Completed="ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames_Completed_1">
<DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0" Value="{StaticResource GlobalBrush}"/>
</ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames>
</Storyboard>
</VisualState>
</VisualStateGroup>
</VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups>
<Button.Content>
<Image Source="/Assets/Player/sub_minus.png" Width="28" Height="28"/>
</Button.Content>
</Button>
is that none of the two animations gets trigged. I tried to change VisualStateGroup's name to FocusState and VisualState's name to Focused, but I didn't saw any change either. Could you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I appreciate your attention!
The problem is with how you're trying to modify the Visual States. These are actually part of the inner template of the button and not configurable in the way you are trying.
Instead you should look to create a new style which includes the visual state changes you want and they applying that style to the button.
Like this:
<phone:PhoneApplicationPage.Resources>
<SolidColorBrush Color="Aqua" x:Key="aquabrush" />
<Style x:Key="AlternativeButtonStyle" TargetType="Button">
<Setter Property="Background" Value="Transparent"/>
<Setter Property="BorderBrush" Value="{StaticResource PhoneForegroundBrush}"/>
<Setter Property="Foreground" Value="{StaticResource PhoneForegroundBrush}"/>
<Setter Property="BorderThickness" Value="{StaticResource PhoneBorderThickness}"/>
<Setter Property="FontFamily" Value="{StaticResource PhoneFontFamilySemiBold}"/>
<Setter Property="FontSize" Value="{StaticResource PhoneFontSizeMedium}"/>
<Setter Property="Padding" Value="10,5,10,6"/>
<Setter Property="Template">
<Setter.Value>
<ControlTemplate TargetType="Button">
<Grid Background="Transparent">
<VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups>
<VisualStateGroup x:Name="CommonStates">
<VisualState x:Name="Normal"/>
<VisualState x:Name="MouseOver"/>
<VisualState x:Name="Pressed">
<Storyboard>
<ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="BorderBrush" Storyboard.TargetName="ButtonBackground">
<DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0" Value="{StaticResource aquabrush}"/>
</ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames>
<ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames Storyboard.TargetProperty="Height" Storyboard.TargetName="ButtonBackground">
<DiscreteObjectKeyFrame KeyTime="0" Value="70"/>
</ObjectAnimationUsingKeyFrames>
</Storyboard>
</VisualState>
<VisualState x:Name="Disabled" />
</VisualStateGroup>
<VisualStateGroup x:Name="FocusStates"/>
</VisualStateManager.VisualStateGroups>
<Border x:Name="ButtonBackground" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding BorderThickness}" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" CornerRadius="0" Margin="{StaticResource PhoneTouchTargetOverhang}">
<ContentControl x:Name="ContentContainer" ContentTemplate="{TemplateBinding ContentTemplate}" Content="{TemplateBinding Content}" Foreground="{TemplateBinding Foreground}" HorizontalContentAlignment="{TemplateBinding HorizontalContentAlignment}" Padding="{TemplateBinding Padding}" VerticalContentAlignment="{TemplateBinding VerticalContentAlignment}"/>
</Border>
</Grid>
</ControlTemplate>
</Setter.Value>
</Setter>
</Style>
</phone:PhoneApplicationPage.Resources>
<Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="Transparent">
<Button Content="pressed?" Style="{StaticResource AlternativeButtonStyle}" />

WP7 - Change multiselectlist checkbox color

My app uses a black background which overrides the phones theme color.
With the theme color set to white, the checkbox controls turn black which means they can't be seen on the black background.
How can I change the background color of the multiselectlist item checkbox to white?
Cheers,
Cameron

Application bar-style of automatic icon coloring elsewhere in WP7?

When I add an icon button to the application bar the system takes care of displaying the icon in white if the dark theme is in use and displaying the icon in black if the light theme is in use. Can I use this automatic coloring elsewhere in my application? I would like to take an icon image from the SDK directory and use it on a normal button, and it would be great if I could get the system to display either white or black depending on the theme. For now I'm doing it manually using a converter but if there's a way to automatically do it that would be cleaner. Does anyone know of a way?
<Button Background="{StaticResource PhoneContrastBackgroundBrush}" >
<Button.OpacityMask>
<ImageBrush ImageSource="/Images/icon.png"/>
</Button.OpacityMask>
</Button>
icon.png must be white

OR (Draw a circle around them) using SDK image (appbar.basecircle.rest.png)

How to remove the black space around the button in WP7?

As I see, WP7 buttons are surrounded by a black space of some pixels.
How I can remove it?
I've read this post, but I didn't managed to remove it! Could you please give a working example?
I've tried to wrap button with <Border... /> element, but it didn't work.
this is my XAML

If you want to change the Margin (I made it 0) search for the following in the Style:
Margin="0"
If you want to change the Padding (I made it 0) search for the following in the Style:
"Padding" Value="0"
I do recommend change it a little smaller...I personally think its a little large to much padding
You could do that easily in Blend.
Open the project in blend. Right click button and from the menu select Edit Template-> Edit a copy -> Name the style.
On the right side, in the object and timeline window, You can see a grid inside which you have a button background and a contentcontainer. Resize the container to the size of the button, now you wud see no white space. Now this same style can be applied to other buttons too.
