I have BranchStore.js and BranchModel.js in my project. And I want use it in all my ext js 4 apps. Is it possible?
Either put the code in script tags in your html, or grab them using Ext.syncRequire('path.js'); The regular Ext.require() call is asynchronous and the code will not be available immediately after the call to load it.
It's possible but you need to load them with Ext.require in every project before you can use them.

I am relatively new to ServiceNow, and I am building some UI pages where I basically do not need any of the SN structure except for Glide Ajax (I need to get data from a Script Include).
The problem is that when I select "Direct" the Glide Ajax functions are not available any more in the client script.
Does anybody know if this is possible to achieve? I searched everywhere without success.
Thanks a lot!
If you check "Direct", it omits all ServiceNow specific JavaScript and CSS. "GlideAjax" is ServiceNow specific JavaScript.
If the data that you are pulling back from the Script Include is static (meaning that you can pull it when the UI page is loaded) then you can probably do it inside an "evaluate" block in the HTML section of the UI page. You could have your Script Include return a JSON object as a string and store it in a variable. Then you could have your client JavaScript parse that variable. I am not a Jelly expert, so I would be curious to know if it works.
I am using in my Nativescript Angular app the nativescript-google-maps-sdk plugin which works great.
My issue is that I want to use cached images to display in a custom InfoWindow. For this purpose I am using the nativescript-web-image-cache plugin app-wide. When I use the regular <WebImage> tag in the infoWindow it complains that it is not a registered component:
Module 'ui/web-image' not found for element 'WebImage'
Everywhere else in the app it works just fine. In this issue is it suggested that:
that InfoWindowTemplate content is parsed as Vanilla NativeScript XML, not as Angular XML thus it is not able to find custom Angular Component you created
So the question is how can I still use this plugin? Is there a way I can somehow register the <WebImage> component so it will work in the custom InfoWindow?
Just to make sure there is not another issue, I added the nativescript-web-image-cache plugin to the plain NativesScript nativescript-google-maps-sdk demo project and then the <WebImage> tag works just fine.
Any pointers are highly appreciated!
Anything registered in Angular is not available in Core the same way; so if you have to create a core template; you must also pass in the xmlns:blah="ns-blah" as part of the core template, so that it is registered properly in that core template. The angular registerElement does not do anything for Core. Now you can easily do <IC:WebImage xmlns:IC="nativescript-web-image-cache" ...> and then it is valid in the template. However, I would recommend you put the xmlns:IC on the topmost element you can; as it makes reading the code a lot simpler. But in cases you don't have a parent wrapping element around the item, this is valid code to register it on the same element using it.
NS-Core templates are different than NS-Angular templates; if you attempt to use things that work in Angular like <IC:WebImage [param]="value" (param)="value"/> both the [param] and (param) will totally break template parsing in core. NS-Core's parser is like HTML, nothing is supposed to surround the param and the value should be in quotes. The value can have {{ boundvalue }} to bind a dynamic value into the template.
Normally when passing a NS-Core template into whatever function you need; you want to pass in just the minimal parts; you rarely need to use things like <Page>, <Frame> or any other top level elements. In fact this can cause problems. You normally need just the piece of the layout you are going to have it view. So in this case <StackLayout xmlns:IC=...><IC:WebImage...></StackLayout>
Finally when troubleshooting using Core features in Angular; I highly recommend you put fixed Width/Height and Background colors on each element. This can sometimes show you what is failing.
As InfoWindowTemplate content is parsed as Vanilla NativeScript XML, you could add xmlns:IC="nativescript-web-image-cache" to the root / parent element of your component. Also use <IC:WebImage> instead of WebImage.
I am confused on how to do this.. Currently I am implementing an automatic download using Javascript:
target.appendJavaScript("location.href='"+ "./Access.xls" + "';");
This doesn't work.. What is the proper way to trigger an automatic download and how do I properly set the url? I am not too familiar with Javascript but trying to implement this. The file is in the root of the project.. but it tells me it is not found.
Also, when the user downloads it, I would like to then delete it right away after it is downloaded using Javascript, how can I do this? I am using Javascript because I am calling this file within an ajax method.
Thanks!
The best way to get access to that resource, you should use a ResourceReference as explained here. To get the url of a ResourceReference use:
RequestCycle#urlFor(ResourceReference, PageParameters)
However, I don't understand what you need regarding deletion of the file once downloaded. If your file is contained in the jar/war of your project, I don't believe it can be deleted from inside the web app. You could block access to it once it's downloaded however, if that makes sense. Not sure what you're trying to achieve here.
I believe Smarty templates has functionality built in that allows you to manage your site URLs from a config file so if something gets moved, you only have to update the URL in one place. Does this sort of functionality exist in CodeIgniter? If not, any pointers or examples on how/where to add it?
For example:
Instead of hard-coding the link it would be: Settings
But where would you want to set $links so that it was available everywhere? Or is it really best to just hard code them?
Take a look at the config class. It allows you to make custom config files.
It's not entirely made for URL's but you sure can use them.
The base url should be basically right at the start of /app/config/config.php, where app is the name of your codeigniter application folder. You access it through calls to the base_url() function.
Yes, it's called Routes, configuration located at config/routes.php. Documentation
If you ask about the rendered html of the links, then your best bet would be using site_url() in conjunction with constants, for example site_url(URL_SETTINGS);, there is no built in functionality for that, but I can say I don't think that is necessary as it would be used too rarely, but it would influence performance every single load.
I'm moving an app from flat file php to codeigniter and I'd like to integrate the two as much as possible before moving over completely. I'm looking to specifically use the input class outside of codeigniter but it looks like I'd also need to use the controller logic (to get access to input segments). Can anyone walk me through using the input library in a flat file php?
I think you're creating too much work and potential problems by trying to do this. You'll be better off if you go directly to CI. Move any standalone functions in your standard PHP files into Helper functions.
If you really want to do this, you could use CI and create controllers/functions for all your files, then in the controller functions, just include() your PHP file and ignore the models and view for now. That way you'll have access to all the CI variables, including the $this->input data.
