In Visual Studio 2010 there were keyboard shortcuts to debug all tests, debug tests in context and more.
For reference, in VS 2010 the chords were:
Debug: All Tests in Solution: Ctrl + R, Ctrl + A
Debug: All tests in context: Ctrl + R, Ctrl + T
VS2010 also had keyboard commands to just Run All Tests
In VS 2012 I found the keyboard command for run all tests, Ctrl + R, A but can't find a keyboard command for debug all tests, which I found to be a really useful command.
Am I being dense and missing it? Did they remove the keyboard shortcut? I haven't found much information searching with Google or Bing.
It looks like they are in Tools --> Options --> Keyboard with no ShortCut Assigned. It looks like the combinations that you used to use are still available.
I seem to have the TestExplorer.DebugAllTests set to Ctrl+D, A ...
And I'm pretty convinced that I've not set that up, but not sure where it came from or whether it's a standard VS 2012 keyboard shortcut

My quick watch (shift + F9) shortcut suddenly is not working.
But its alternate keyboard chord Control + Alt + Q works fine.
And all other shortcut seems working fine. But quick watch is the only one that I currently found.
I have tried other shortcut with Shift or with F9 , no problem.
I am also using Resharper, is that affecting VS Shift F9?
If you have Snag-It installed on your machine, its global shortcuts may override application specific shortcuts in Visual Studio (or other apps).

In the meantime, just go into the Snag-It preferences, the HotKeys tab, and set the "Video capture start/pause/resume" hot key to something other than [Shift]-[F9]. For myself, I only use "Global capture", so I set everything else to "None".

In TOOLS --> Options | Keyboard, make sure the right mapping scheme is selected (Visual C# 2005 for me) and click Reset and finally, Ok
for some/most of the functions in Visual Studio there do exist shortcuts. Sadly it's hard to find them.
I'm looking for a addin/tool that will display me information for a shortcut.
For example:
I comment a line with // and the tools gives me information that the shortcut for this is STRG + K, C.
I press some button, let's say debug and it shows me that the shortcut would be F5
For offline use there's the posters with key bindings, but inside VS I'd recommend the IntelliCommand extension which will show you key combinations when you press ctrl (+ some other key).
No other addin/tool required. In Visual Studio, under Tools > Options > Environment > Keyboard, you can find all available shortcuts.
I'm testing visual studio in desktop parallels win7 running on my Macbook air. Everything works fine except that i cannot get curly braces to work inside visual studio.
The Curly braces do work Shift + right-alt 7/8 (tested in notepad) but something is overriding the key combination inside visual studio.

I think it is Resharper that is messing with me. Does anyone know how to turn off a shortcut, specifically the key combination shift + right-alt + 7/8 so i can get curly braces working again.
You can check all the different shortcuts in Visual Studio and modify them as you like.
In Visual Studio goto: Tools -> Customize and press the Keyboard button at the bottom.
Then, in the "Press Shortcut Key" TextBox just press the key combination and you'll see what command it is set to, and you can remove/redefine that combination
I had the same problem, but I finally found how it work:
for { type right-alt+5 and for [ type right-alt+shift+5
In Visual Studio 2015 the keyboard settings are at Tools -> Options under Environment/Keyboard.
I could not find the bound command by pressing the shortcut.
After some digging i discovered the command name: ReSharper_EnableDaemon. Removing all shortcuts for this command, I can now type { again.
Try to use fn + alt (right alt key) + 7/8 in your keyboard. Should fix most of those Mac parallel issues.
Is there a keyboard shortcut in Visual Studio (aside from CTRL+TAB and selection) that would take me from inside a document directly into the solution explorer? I don't want to customize any shortcuts or change any default behavior.

In Visual Studio 2012 you can now use CTRL+; as this is the default keyboard shortcut for the solution explorer search box.
On my windows 7 machine : Ctrl+ALT+L locks the computer.
For me

I had this problem on a new machine build with VS 2013 and R# 8.2.
Keyboard option Resharper.Resharper_LocateInSolutionExplorer was correctly set to Shift+Alt+L, but it seemed to be only opening a parent folder and not selecting the actual file. As recommended in another post I enabled "Track active in Solution Explorer" in the VS Options.
This didn't fix the problem and wasn't what I want because in very large solutions I don't want the solution explorer jumping around to the current file in use. I disabled the Track feature and restarted VS, the LocateInSolutionExplorer feature then started working correctly. Some sort of shortcut precedence issue?

Ctrl+Alt+L works fine even in VS 2019.
But if you have reassigned the above key to some other command (by mistake in my case) then the name of the command is View.SolutionExplorer
You can search it in the Tools -> Options -> Environment -> Keyboard
or just do Ctrl+Q and search keymap.
And then search View.SolutionExplorer in the Show commands containing: and assign whichever key you want.
We just upgraded from VS2013 to VS2017, and I had to go looking for how to auto-select the active tab in the Solution Explorer. I often have to look for a document by finding a text-string from a screen, and love to have it select the document so I can see where it is.
Tracking the active document has been default behavior for a long time. VS2017 brought over ALL my other preferences, but not this one. Glad I found this thread--Thank you.
Is there a key shortcut in Visual Studio to find & open a file inside your solution without using Resharper or any other tools?

Since Visual Studio 2019 now it's possible to do a similar search via Ctrl + Q.

Not a single keystroke, but yes: `Ctrl+D > o f filename` (so that's five keystrokes before you start typing the filename). It then autocompletes the filename for you.
You need the Find box in the toolbar for this to work.
(If you change your mind about addins, SonicFileFinder is for this very purpose, and free.)
You can also use Ctrl + /, which puts the > in place for you automatically.
Similar to Just Shadow's answer I discover that, on Visual Studio 2017, you can do the following:
Press Ctrl + 1, then f
Or you could go to Tools -> Options -> Keyboard
and change the shortcut of Edit.GoToFile for whatever you like.
I replaced mine with: Ctrl + O
