How can I pass a message from JMeter to Sonic ESB? - jms

I am trying to use the point-to-point functionality of JMeter to test Sonic ESB.
I developed a service in Sonic ESB (a very simple service which has only one prototype step). I wanted to pass a message from JMeter to the service which I developed in Sonic ESB and get a response back.
I have an input Queue named Sample.Q1.
I am really confused about how to link JMeter and Sonic ESB.
I followed the following link in creating the jmeter point-to-point. http://jmeter.apache.org/usermanual/build-jms-point-to-point-test-plan.html
Please tell me how to provide authentication details also (i.e user name and password).

Configure the JMS Point-to-Point Sampler with Sonic information.
Have you configured your prototype Service with a replyTo endpoint in the output?
You can also disable the authentication or use JMS properties.

How to send MQ messages (JMS) using JMeter

I have to put messages in a queue for which I have all the connection details (host, port, channel, manager, queuename and username). I never worked on implementing JMeter for sending MQ. Can anyone let me know where can I get (blog or reference) step by step procedure to perform this? I tried referring to official site, can't really understand those JNDI, connection Factory settings
Man, your MQ statement is too general as there are too many possible message queue system providers like Apache ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, TIBCO, etc. and the values for all these JNDI/JMS properties, connection factory names, queue names, etc. will be different.
To get an overview of Java communication with "MQ" get familiarized with Getting Started with Java Message Service (JMS)
Download .jar files for your MQ system and put them to JMeter Classpath
Perform configuration as per your MQ system connection settings, example setup for Apache ActiveMQ is here: Building a JMS Testing Plan - Apache JMeter

What is the major difference between Mule ESB VM and JMS component

I want to know the major difference between VM and JMS component of Mule ESB. Can someone help me to know it.
As per Mule documentation, VM transport is for intra-JVM communication between Mule flows. So, that means when you use a VM in your flow, you can communicate between different flows in the application.
A flow containing VM inbound cannot be called externally from external application as thus the flow is equivalent to a private flow used within the application. By default uses in-memory queues.
Please go through the documentation :- https://docs.mulesoft.com/mule-user-guide/v/3.8/vm-transport-reference
On the other hand as per Mule documentation, JMS is an external host, allows communication between different components of a distributed application and JMS transport lets you easily send and receive messages to queues and topics for any message service which implements the JMS specification.
A flow, which has JMS inbound can be called from externally unlike VM. Documentation is here :- https://docs.mulesoft.com/mule-user-guide/v/3.8/jms-transport-reference
Within the application, if you send the control from one flow to another flow we use VM.VM can be used as both inbound and outbound.
Outside the application, for example, A application want to send something to B application(external application) there we use JMS.

Trying to use jms publisher/subscriber in jmeter to connect to IBM MQ

We have been using jms point-to-point sampler in jmeter to post an xml based request to the MQ. Since then our application has changed and now the messages that are posted to the MQ are Serialable objects created with spring integration. To have a test around this, we tried using jms publisher/subscriber. All the online support we tried is pointing to connection to ActiveMQ. Has anyone tried using jms published to post object message to and IBM MQ?
The online approach gives you all the elements to switch to IBM MQ.
You would need to:
put IBM MQ jars in lib folder of jmeter
Find the infos needed for :
http://jmeter.apache.org/usermanual/component_reference.html#JMS_Subscriber
http://jmeter.apache.org/usermanual/component_reference.html#JMS_Publisher
This will help you:

How to Check or Test JMS Url is Active Before Sending Message in WSO2 ESB

Is there any way or any configurations in WSO2 ESB to test JMS endpoint before sending actual message. I have searched alot but didn't find any solution. I need help from WSO2 experts.
Thanks.
there is no option in WSO2, just send a test message and check.

jms point to point or JMS publisher and subscriber

I am a novice user for jmeter.
In my company i need to do load testing. I am using Hermes JMS to send request and response using the queues. So what should I use in jmeter, jms point to point or JMS publisher and subscriber. And I also want to set up the ftp location to get the files.
I tried both of those but getting the error in jndi properties:
"ERROR - jmeter.protocol.jms.sampler.JMSSampler: org.apache.activemq.jndi.ActiveMQInitialContextFactory javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: org.apache.activemq.jndi.ActiveMQInitialContextFactory"
I am not exactly sure how can I set up the queues that I am using in hermes.
How can I setup the JNDI settings? Or its default because I was reading online and everyone has Initial Context Factory as org.apache.activemq.jndi.ActiveMQInitialContextFactory and what about the queues do I need to provide my own queues or that's the default as well?
If you are using queues, you'll want to use JMS point to point. JMS publisher and subscriber uses JMS topics. If the queues already exist in ActiveMQ (and they appear to since you can see them in Hermes), you'll need to configure JMeter to use those. It sounds like your JNDI settings are incorrect and JMeter cannot find the JNDI name you're telling it to look for.
Regarding the 2nd part of your question: when using a JMS Publisher, you can use the dynamicQueues/ prefix for your destination when creating queues, dynamicTopics/ for topics, e.g. dynamicQueues/my.testqueue
You need to make sure that you have the 'activemq-all-[version].jar' file in the lib folder of JMeter so that when you set the 'Initial Context Factory' property to 'org.apache.activemq.jndi.ActiveMQInitialContextFactory' (as well as the 'QueueConnection Factory' resource to 'ConnectionFactory') in the JMS Sampler the latter is found and initiated by JMeter.
