Frontend developer desperately trying to get a WAMP running on Windows 7 (Home Premium, 64 bit, SP1). I've tried WAMPSERVER and XAMPP. Starting the Apache service failed on both, returning the exact same critical error in their error.log-files:

I've googled for over 2 hours for this problem and have tried several things. Checking/freeing up Port 80, using a different port, turning off MSSE's real-time protection, disabling LMHOSTS Lookup, dozens of reinstalls... All to no avail.
Please help :(
Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. Find "Web Deployment Agent Service" right click and stop. Start up Apache and see if it sticks. If so, right click on Web Deployment Agent again and go to properties and set the startup type to Manual.
In my case, the error log was this:
[crit] (OS 109)The pipe has been ended. : setup_inherited_listeners: Unable to read socket data from parent
The solution was that Apache was set to listen on IPv6 interface, but there was no IPv6 interface enabled.

my oobjective is simple, just a backup and retsore it on other machine , which have no raltion with running cluter .
My steps .
1. Remotly pg_basebackup on new machine .
2. rm -fr ../../main/
3. mv bacnkup/main/ ../../main/
4. start postgres service
** During backup no error occur. **

Based on the answer to a very similar question (How to mount a pg_basebackup on a stand alone server to retrieve accidently deleted data and on the fact that that answer helped me get this working glitch-free, the steps are:
do the basebackup, or copy/untar previously made one, to the right location /var/lib/postgresql/9.5/main
remove the file backup_label
run /usr/lib/postgresql/9.5/bin/pg_resetxlog -f /var/lib/postgresql/9.5/main
start postgres service

I've tried running the framework using the three methods (server, service, client) but nothing seems to be working.

I googled a bit and found a workaround which says to add -h 127.0.0.1 to the client script, but still nothing.

For some time now i get strange 500 errors in the front and backend of magento. I use magento 1.4.1.1.
The errors can appear everywhere, anytime. I get about 10-20 of them every day. The errorlog reads something like this:

I was receiving similar errors on 1.7.0.2 community edition on a Ubuntu 10.04 LTS LAMP server. In my case (using Virtualmin) I had incorrectly set the virtual server to run php in FastCGI as the website owner. The apache user is different from the site owner, and magento multi-site install was setup to run as that apache user.
ALSO, I had uncommented Magento's profiler inside index.php Varien_Profiler::enable();
and turned on the profiler via Magento admin panel (System->Configuration->Developer.
Commenting out the profiler object AND reversing the change to php execution mode did the trick.

Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console
This error occurred with Ubuntu 10.04 and 10.10.
Resque Web only starts with -F option (don't daemonize, run in the foreground). So, it must be something when the process is daemonized.
Any idea, how can I solve it?

It's probably trying to open the default browser and failing to do so. Try using:
$ resque-web -L
To avoid starting a browser.
