Using microsoft reportviewer 11 in visual studio 2005 project - visual-studio-2005

I am using report-viewer version 8 with visual studio 2005, works fine in development environment, but in the shared hosting environment it gives an error "The file has not been pre-compiled, and cannot be requested." This, I guess, is because the host server has support for report-viewer version 11.
Is it possible using report-viewer version 11 in visual studio 2005 project? Is there any other work around?

This project is incompatible with the current version of Visual Studio VS2017

I have installed the Enterprise version of Visual Studio 2017 v 15.8.4 on Windows 7 Professional. I have downloaded the UWP Samples, when I attempt to load any of the C++ UWP sample solutions such as the Altimeter solution I get the error ..."This project is incompatible with the current version of Visual Studio." Online I found the suggestion that with a prior version of VS reloading the project worked, but in my case the project is greyed out. What is the problem?
From Visual Studio 2017 Product Family System Requirements:
Universal Windows app development, including designing, editing, and debugging, requires Windows 10. Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2012 R2 may be used to build Universal Windows apps from the command line.
You need Windows 10 to open UWP samples in Visual Studio 2017.

Installing Visual Studio 2005 on Windows 10

Is it possible to install Visual Studio 2005 on Windows 10?
I need to maintain a legacy application that targets .NET Framework 2.0, so I need to use this version of Visual Studio.
It is not supported, but it works as far as I have tried. Coincidentally, I came here after I searched about the same thing while I was installing Visual Studio 2005 Professional on Windows 10 64 bit. I have some old VS 2005 C++ source that someone has given me to modify.
After the installation of VS 2005 was complete, I installed the following two updates in this order:
VS80sp1-KB926601-X86-ENU.exe -> Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite Service Pack 1
VS80sp1-KB932232-X86-ENU.exe -> Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 Update for Windows Vista
Look for these on Google to find download links from MSDN. After installing these updates, I just launched VS 2005, and so far, everything has worked fine. The app is running, there are no errors, builds are fine, and I can use VS 2005 as always.

Visual Studio 2012 Express For Windows 8 has stopped working

Today I downloaded Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows 8. But whenever I choose to start a new vb windows store project, it shows me that the project is being created and just after it has been created it shows the message that
Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 For Windows 8 has stopped working. Checking online for solution.
I even read the Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Desktop has stopped working, VS2010 VS2012 answers but it didn't help.
I have Visual Studio 2013, Visual Basic 2008 and 6.0 installed. I want to create windows 8 store apps.

Microsoft Test Professional 2013 can't open .net projects

I recently got a copy of Microsoft Test Professional 2013, where previously I used Visual Studio 2012. I'm unable to run any projects within Visual Studio 2013 - Shell Integrated, which comes with Test Professional 2013.
The development team have upgraded to Visual Studio 2013 with no issues and we have tried changing the project versions.
I have checked that I have the correct .net framework and mvc installed.
Should I be able to open the projects and if so what might be going wrong?

Visual studio issues after installing visual studio 2013

I have Windows 8 machine.
I had visual studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2012 installed on my computer.
I installed the visual studio 2013 preview, and the 8.1 WDK.
After I installed Visual Studio 2013, my old project in C++ wasn't able to be compiled (in Visual Studio 2012) so I uninstalled Visual Studio 2013 and the WDK.
But the issue remains, i cannot compile my C++ project. I get error message such as "Windows.h cannot be found" I looked at the include directory and saw that I have the following include: $(WindowsSDK_IncludePath). but when I open "Macros>>" I can't this macro "$(WindowsSDK_IncludePath)".
I tried to uninstall Visual Studio 2010 and 2012 and reinstall them but it didn't fix the issue.
Does anyone know what might cause this issue and how to resolve it?
In order to build windows 8 apps in visual studio 2013, you must be using windows 8.1. (defined here). This is possibly the issue.
You also wouldn't see the windows sdk include path because the wdk would be uninstalled. I would recommend one of two things
get visual studio 2012 again, and download the windows 8 sdk
get windows 8.1, then install visual studio 2013, and use the windows 8.1 sdk
I know, its quite silly.
