I am doing Confirmation mail sent to the register for this i am following with this URL
http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/blogs/shair/archive/2011/12/06/email-confirmation-asp-net-mvc-web-application.aspx#comments
but i am getting error like "Unable to connect to the sqlserverdatabase"
To point out the obvious it looks like you cannot access your sql server database.
Try connecting with sql management studio using the same user. It looks like something is wrong with your permissions or possibly a typo in your connection details.

I am having an issue with trying to create a bot. Everything seems to work fine when I am using Http. I can deploy my application to my website and interact with the bot via the emulator or botframework.com.
Unfortunately, when I try to use HTTPS, I get a 401 error from the emulator and nothing shows up when I try to use botframework.com.
Just so that I am crystal clear, the only things that I changed are:
1. Added the [BotAuthentication] attribute to my ApiController like so:
[BotAuthentication]
public class MessagesController : ApiController
Updated the URL in the emulator/botframework.com from http://mywebsite.com/api/messages to https://mywebsite.com/api/messages
Web.config is all set up with the appId and AppSecret. My site already has an SSL certificate.
Is there anything that I am missing? Although I have never used basic authentication before I am assuming there is nothing else that I need to set up, right?
I hit your endpoing and IIS is responding to the basic auth and getting in the way.
Basic Auth is works the following way:
There is a header which contains the UserId:Password encoded as base64
If the server doesn’t see the header it returns a 403 with a “basic” to signal that the web site requires auth token. For a web browser that means it will popup a stock user/password dialog and then it will do submit the request again with the header.
If the header is provided but the user/password is wrong the server returns 401.
Normally basic auth is used to look up in a database, but in our case there is only 1 user, it is the bot appid/appsecret. All the BotAuthorization attribute does is to add an inspector to the request pipeline to look for the header with appid/appsecret in it to make sure that only approved callers can call your bot.
If you don’t care about that you can simply remove the attribute. Regardless, you don’t want IIS sticking it’s nose into the process.
Make sense?
This theoretically should work based on your description of the changes you've made. This is the emulator talking to your cloud service or to the bot on localhost? And you get this error as well from the Bot Framework test control in the portal?
If you send me your BotId to botframework#microsoft.com I can check our logs to see if there's anything interesting (or DM me at #jameslew on twitter).
im am experiencing problems with the email validation in the appcelerator platform. I have everything configured right and the email arrive in my inbox when a new user is created, but, for some reason, the link to activate the account returns: Fail to confirm user. 400 Bad Request - Invalid app key
I checked in the tiapp.xml and checked if the api keys are properly configured and everything is alright. I have no idea of how appcelerator generate this link to verify what happen. In my template uses the link below:
https://cloud.appcelerator.com/users/confirmation?key={{key}}&confirmation_token={{confirmation_token}}
What im doing wrong? =[
Seems that the documentation is wrong. Only works if the link in the template is https://platform.appcelerator.com/#/users/confirmation/{{key}}/{{confirmation_token}}
I just encountered the same issue and can confirm the bug in the documentation. The correct url is indeed
https://platform.appcelerator.com/#/users/confirmation/{{key}}/{{confirmation_token}}
I'd like to add that there is probably a similar defect in the following documentation for password reset url:
http://docs.appcelerator.com/arrowdb/latest/#!/api/Users-method-request_reset_password
The documentation says the password reset url (if using Appcelerator instead of custom website) should be
https://dashboard.appcelerator.com/#/users/confirmation/{{key}}/{{confirmation_token}}
It seems wrong (copy-paste from email confirmation url perhaps).
I am trying to configure a magento connector into my anypoint studio.
I have a magento instance running locally and I have created a user and role for the SOAP requests.
On adding the magento connector to the flow, I try to test the connection using the following properties
Url: http://localhost/magento/api/v2_soap
magento user name and password which is the api key.
However when I test the connection, I get an error
org.mule.api.ConnectionException:(301) Moved Permanently
I also tried giving the url http://localhost/magento/index.php/ap...
However it gives the same error.
Is there any way to resolve this problem?
Username and API key will allows you to connect using Magento connector
EX: https://sashistore.gostorego.com + /api/v2_soap?wsdl is url
For Reference Please go through : http://www.magentocommerce.com/api/soap/introduction.html
Let me know if it works
I have a c#.net MVC3 application running on Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter.
If I deploy the application as an application under the main site (i.e. www.mysite.com/crm) it works perfectly.
If I deploy the application as a sub-domain to the main site (i.e. crm.mysite.com) it appears to work as expected, with the exception of one endpoint (crm.mysite.com/reports/view). That path returns the following authentication notice:
Authentication Required
The server http://crm.mysite.com:80 requires a username and password.
I am not aware of anything special for that endpoint and, as I mentioned, it works without issues when deployed under the main site.
What would cause this? How do I remove/prevent it?
I don't even know what code to provide to help diagnose the problem. Please let me know if you want to see parts of the code for any section related to this issue.
UPDATE:
I don't move the path to the application files for either situation and they both use the same application pool. The only difference is how a user access the files via IIS.
UPDATE2:
If I authenticate a user, I get this error:
Server Error in '/Reports' Application.
The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Why would it think the resource doesn't exist when clearly it does?
If you have authentication on the main site, it won't automatically carry authentication across to the sub-domain. You would have to develop a mechanism to handle that such as SSO (single sign on).
Another potential issue is permissions for the directory/application (eg. c:\inetpub\wwwroot\crm.mysite.com)
I am trying to retrieve data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM database. In order to have LINQ functionality, I applied crmsvcutil to generate data context class. The following is the command line I used
crmsvcutil /connectionString:"Authentication Type=SPLA; Server= http://our-crm.com; User ID=user; Password=pass" /namespace:Stub.Xrm /dataContextPrefix:MyCorp /out:Xrm.cs
When running the command, I got
Unhandled Exception: System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.
Error. I was able to access http://our-crm.com by using user/pass to assess the CRM. I am suspecting that the URL of serer was the problem, but don't know exactly which one I should use.
The CRM version I used is 4.0
UPDATE On May 19, 2011:
I changed the connection string to
crmsvcutil /connectionString:"Authentication Type=AD; Server= http://our-crm.com/CRM; User ID=domain\user; Password=pass" /namespace:Stub.Xrm /dataContextPrefix:MyCorp /out:Xrm.cs
Now I am getting
Unhandled Exception: System.ApplicationException: 0x80040220
SecLib::CheckPrivilege failed. Returned hr = -2147220960, User: f26255aa-997a-e011-b1ff-0050569e0924, PrivilegeId: a33
11f47-2134-44ee-a258-6774018d4bc3
Does it mean I do not have enough privilege to retrieve WSDL information? But I was able to use browser to get http://our-crm.com/mscrmservices/2007/CrmServiceWsdl.aspx and I was able to add webreference to the WebService using same credential.
If you are accessing Dynamics CRM OnPremise with the credentials of the current user, you have to specify Integratedas authentication type.
Therefore your connection string should be
/connectionString:"Authentication Type=Integrated; Server= http://our-crm.com;
If you have to specify a specific user, you have to use AD
/connectionString:"Authentication Type=AD; Server= http://our-crm.com; User ID=user-domain\user-name; Password=user-password
