I am trying to work with FusionTables API. But I am getting this error:
Method 'get_Error' in type 'Google.Apis.Fusiontables.v1.Data.Table'
from assembly 'Google.Apis.Fusiontables.v1, Version=1.2.4737.25287,
Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' does not have an implementation.
Can some one please help me with this error? Here is my code:
// Create the service.
if (fTableService == null)
{
// Register the authenticator.
var auth = CreateAuthenticator();
fTableService = new FusiontablesService(auth);
if (fTableService != null)
{
name = fTableService.Table.List().Fetch().Items[0].Name;
}
}
Thanks
It looks like you mix between assemblies versions (of the generated API and of the google client library itself).
Try to download the latest version of FusionTables API from http://code.google.com/p/google-api-dotnet-client/wiki/APIs#Fusion_Tables_API.
The bundle contains all the dlls you need to reference.
Good luck

I'm creating a Xamarin forms app which enables user uploads. I have installed the latest version of the Xamarin.Essentials package but the classes and methods which I would expect to be available cannot be found. I can move ahead with the xamarin.plugins.filepicker package but this is not well documented and I would prefer to use the standard library. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated! The default is below.
'''
async Task<FileResult> PickAndShow(PickOptions options)
{
try
{
var result = await FilePicker.PickAsync();
if (result != null)
{
Text = $"File Name: {result.FileName}";
if (result.FileName.EndsWith("jpg", StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase) ||
result.FileName.EndsWith("png", StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase))
{
var stream = await result.OpenReadAsync();
Image = ImageSource.FromStream(() => stream);
}
}
}
catch (Exception ex)
{
// The user canceled or something went wrong
}
}
'''
For the Xamarin.Essentials package, update to the latest version on both Xamarin.Form NuGet Package and Android NuGet Package. After that you could fix the errors like below.
Error CS0246 The type or namespace name 'PickOptions' could not be found (are you
missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
For the usage of Xamarin.Essentials: File Picker, you could check the MS document.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/xamarin/essentials/file-picker?tabs=android
If you wanna the source file, you could download from the link below. https://github.com/xamarin/Essentials/tree/main/Xamarin.Essentials/FilePicker
I am in the process of moving my app code from the .Net5 MVC/JQuery ASPNETZERO template to the new .Net core 1.1 MVC/JQuery template.
So far I have copied over my first few custom entities. Created a EF migration and applied the changes to my DB.
I then started building the first app service for one of my entities. I am copying over the code from my existing MVC template that is working without any issues.
public async Task<PagedResultDto<ListValuesListDto>> GetListValues(GetListValuesInput input)
{
var query = from lv in _listvaluesRepository2.GetAll()
select new ListValuesListDto
{
Id = lv.Id,
ListName = lv.ListName,
ListText = lv.ListText
};
query = query.WhereIf(!input.Filter.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(), lv => lv.ListName.Contains(input.Filter) || lv.ListText.Contains(input.Filter));
var resultCount = await query.CountAsync();
var results = await query.OrderBy(input.Sorting).PageBy(input).ToListAsync();
return new PagedResultDto<ListValuesListDto>(resultCount, results);
}
The method above is from my MVC template. When I place this into the .Net core solution, I keep getting the following build error.
CS0411 The type arguments for method 'Enumerable.OrderBy(IEnumerable, Func)' cannot be inferred from the usage. Try specifying the type arguments explicitly
The error is pointing to the "OrderBy" on this line of code:
var results = await query.OrderBy(input.Sorting).PageBy(input).ToListAsync();
I am still very much learning the ABP template and EF. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the same code in the .Net core template does not work?
Any help that anyone can provide would be much appreciated!
I just solved my own issue. I had to add the using statement for System.Linq.Dynamic.Core
Hope it helps someone else! :-)
I am trying to create a Windows Store App using a WebApi Odata controller. After some effort I have all the Get requests working, I am now moving onto the CRUD methods, and am getting the following Exception on the EndSaveChanges of the Data Service Context.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<m:error xmlns:m="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/08/dataservices/metadata">
<m:code />
<m:message xml:lang="en-US">No HTTP resource was found that matches the request URI 'http://localhost:56317/odata/ESFClients(guid'f04ad636-f896-4de4-816c-388106cd39ce')'.</m:message>
<m:innererror>
<m:message>No routing convention was found to select an action for the OData path with template '~/entityset/key'.</m:message>
<m:type></m:type>
<m:stacktrace></m:stacktrace>
</m:innererror>
</m:error>
Now I think this is a bug in WebApi from this http://aspnetwebstack.codeplex.com/workitem/822 and its hiding the actual error. To make sure it wasn't my Odata Endpoint I created a quick console app to get an entry, update it and Patch it back, which worked all ok. My WebApi Odata Controller derives from ODataController with
public HttpResponseMessage Patch([FromODataUri] Guid key, Delta<ESFClient> patch)
As the method.
In my windows application I have a extension method on the DataServiceContext for the Save Changes.
public static async Task<DataServiceResponse> SaveChangesAsync(this DataServiceContext context, SaveChangesOptions options)
{
var queryTask = Task.Factory.FromAsync<DataServiceResponse>(context.BeginSaveChanges(options, null, null),
queryAsyncResult =>
{
var results = context.EndSaveChanges(queryAsyncResult);
return results;
});
return await queryTask;
}
And calling the update like so from a blank Windows Store XAML page.
public async Task UpdateWeekNo()
{
var container = new ESFOdataService.Container(new Uri("http://localhost:56317/odata/"));
var clients = (DataServiceQuery<ESFClient>)from p in container.ESFClients where p.UserID == new Guid("f04ad636-f896-4de4-816c-388106cd39ce") select p;
var result = await clients.ExecuteAsync();
var updatedClient = result.Single();
if (updatedClient != null)
{
updatedClient.WeekNo = 19;
container.UpdateObject(updatedClient);
await container.SaveChangesAsync(SaveChangesOptions.PatchOnUpdate); // Use PATCH not MERGE.
}
}
So does anyone come across the same issue, or know how I can find out the actual error. One interesting point is that if I debug the controller while running the Windows App, the patch method does not get called.
Ok, so I have finally solved this. Just a recap for those who could experience the same issue. I have an Odata WebApi controller, Windows 8 Store Application using WCF Client Library, with the reference created from Add Service Reference. When trying to update (patch) a record an exception was being thrown at the EndSaveChanges. This is because for some reason Post Tunneling is enabled by default on my context. Setting this to false allowed everything to work.
Context.UsePostTunneling = false;
Context.IgnoreResourceNotFoundException = true;
I'm using the WebApiContrib.Formatting.ProtoBuf NuGet package (http://nuget.org/packages/WebApiContrib.Formatting.ProtoBuf/0.9.5.0) to add support for Protocol Buffers in my Web API project.
The server side seems to work great, but I've been unable to get the Web API Client libraries to deserialize a server response.
System.InvalidOperationException: Type is not expected, and no contract can be inferred: System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable`1[[WebAPITest1.Protocol.Messages.Product, WebAPITest1.Protocol.Messages, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null]]
Here is my client code:
var httpClient = new HttpClient();
httpClient.BaseAddress = new Uri(#"http://localhost:60500/");
httpClient.DefaultRequestHeaders.Accept.Add(new MediaTypeWithQualityHeaderValue("application/x-protobuf"));
var response = httpClient.GetAsync("/api/products?$orderby=Name").Result;
Assert.IsTrue(response.IsSuccessStatusCode);
var products = response.Content.ReadAsAsync<IEnumerable<Product>>(new[]{new ProtoBufFormatter()}).Result;
Assert.IsTrue(products.Count() > 0);
Ideas?
Have you tried with something other than IEnumerable<Product>? In particular, maybe a top-level object that has a set of Products ? For example:
[ProtoContract]
public class NeedsBetterName {
[ProtoMember(1)]
public List<Product> Products {get;set;}
}
That might be happier. Actually, I added better support for "naked enumerables" earlier this month (in r629) - however, I have not yet deployed this build anywhere.
I am having some trouble with a asp.net MVC3 web application that I am developing. I need an upload page which Allows the user to upload excel files and dump them to the file system. I got this to work fine. The next part is the part that I am having trouble with, After I upload the excel files I need to programmatically kick off a SSIS package which I have created already to import the excel files.
Here is what I have so far in code:
//
// POST: /Home/Update/
[HttpPost]
public ActionResult Update(HttpPostedFileBase file)
{
// Verify that the user selected a file
if (file != null && file.ContentLength > 0)
{
var fileName = Path.GetFileName(file.FileName);
// store the file inside ~/App_Data/uploads folder
var path = Path.Combine(Server.MapPath("~/App_Data/uploads"), fileName);
ViewBag.Message = "File Uploaded Successfully";
file.SaveAs(path);
}
//Start the SSIS here
try
{
Application app = new Application();
Package package = null;
package = app.LoadPackage( #"C:\Users\Chris\Documents\Visual Studio
2008\Projects\Integration Services Project1\Integration Services Project1
\bin\Package.dtsx", null);
// Execute Package
DTSExecResult results = package.Execute();
if(results == DTSExecResult.Failure)
{
foreach(DtsError local_DtsError in package.Errors)
{
ViewBag.Message("Package Execution results:{0}",
local_DtsError.Description.ToString());
}
}
}
catch(DtsException ex)
{
//ViewBag.Message("{0} Exception caught.", ex);
}
// redirect back to the index action to show the form once again
return RedirectToAction("Update");
}
When I run the code and upload an excel file I get a DtsException caught, which says:
Failed to open package file "C:\Users\Chris\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\Integration Services Project1\Integration Services Project1\bin\Package.dtsx" due to error 0x80070003 "The system cannot find the path specified.". This happens when loading a package and the file cannot be opened or loaded correctly into the XML document. This can be the result of either providing an incorrect file name was specified when calling LoadPackage or the XML file was specified and has an incorrect format.
I don't understand why it is giving me this because the file path is right I checked and it is exactly correct. I need some help fixing this issue I would greatly appreciate any help you guys can give.
Permissions I should think. Put the file somewhere where account running IIS can see it. Whereever you were planning on deploying it, would be good.
