How to install WebSphere 7, after installing RAD 7.5? - websphere

Am new to RAD 7.5, where i installed RAD, but i cannot find the WebSphere server installed in it, so i might have not installed while installing RAD.So, am thinking of installing it again. So could you please help me in solving this problem.

RAD doesn't WAS installations. If you want to install WAS7, download installers separately.
Also, if you want to get support for development on WebSphere Portal 7 you need download RAD 8 and install WP7 separately too.

Microsoft Edge Webview Issues

I am trying to install an application on my remote PC using the Windows installer.
The application requires Webview2 to be installed on my PC, and I have it already installed. However the installer tells me that it is not installed. Where do I go from here?
This is what the installer tells me when I try to install the application:
When I check the Add or Remove Programs, it shows that Edge Webview2 is installed, so why is the installer not detecting it? (I downloaded the standalone installer from here).
If you are able to install the Edge WebView2 successfully then there is no issue with the Edge WebView2.
Actually, the issue is with your iManage app installer which is not able to detect the WebView 2 installation.
There could be various reasons why it is not able to find the installation.
You could try to restart the machine after installing the Edge WebView2 and then install the iManege and see if it finds the installation properly.
You could try to check whether the version of the WebView2 you installed is compatible with the iManage app. If not, you need to install the supported version of WebView2.
There are documents from iManage, you could check to get more information on this.
Installing Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime
Microsoft Edge WebView2 integrated with iManage Work Desktop for Windows
If the issue persists, you could raise this issue to the iManage community or iManage support.
They could provide you with proper guidance on how to install the iManage app.

Websphere 6.1 server installation in RAD 7.5

I have installed RAD 7.5 in my system and during the installation I have selected the websphere 7.0 server alone.
Now I want to use Websphere 6.1 server.
How can I install Websphere 6.1 server now?
Do I need to install RAD software again from scratch?
Thanks,
Sasank
You don't have to install RAD again.
You can install WebSphere Application Server 6.1 and add it as environment into RAD.

How can I install WebMatrix 3 in a standalone PC?

I need to install webmatrix 3 in a pc without internet connection.
I have win7 64bit.
so i downloaded webmatrix x64 exe and all his dependencies and services exe/msi files - include web platform installer.
I installed all and run the webmatrix app but an message box pop up and said that I need to have the latest webPI installed (4.6 in this days..).
But it is a problem because the wpilauncher.exe file (webPI installer file) install version 4.0 for some reaseon, i think it because I dont have internet accsess.
so?
help, thx.
you can download offline installer from Web Platform Installer
Run on your PC with internet connection WebMatrixWeb.exe, click Install
You will see installation plan and download link on the right.
this may help
There's a link to an offline instaler for x86 available at download.microsoft.com/download/c/2/a/c2a485fa-013a-45ef-baba-c568e40f4b50/WebMatrix_x86_en-US.msi. Requires IIS 7.5 Express or IIS 8.0 Express.
I can see you've specifically asked for x64 version, but this might work for someone searching for x86 version.
WebMatrix needs an active internet connection to install since it pulls in some other required services from the Web Platform Installer.
Quote:
"..WebMatrix needs other components installed to function correctly,
and those are all pulled in by Web Platform Installer automatically.
In that sense, the true installer is not really "offline"."

Software Development Kit version is not the same as WebSphere Application Server

I have installed IBM WebSphere Application Server ND V7, and I want to install fix pack 7 on this WAS ND V7. So, I have installed Update Installer and installed fix pack on WAS ND, installed fix pack successfully. Now, I want to install WebSphere Application Server feature pack for XML, so tried to install this feature pack using IBM Installation Manager v1.6.2, but it throwing the below error,
Installation Manager detected one or more packages that cannot be synchronized. Installation Manager cannot manage installation packages until they are synchronized.
You can import the packages again to synchronize Installation Manager with your imported packages.
You must configure repository connections and ensure that you can access the network or repository media to keep imported packages synchronized.
Package data for these locations was not synchronized:
C:\IBM\WAS_ND_7
The Software Development Kit version is not the same as the IBM WebSphere Application Server - ND version.
Use another tool, such as the Update Installer for WebSphere Software, to synchronize the versions.
Please ensure you install the same fixpack level for SDK as is installed for WAS. I.e. if WAS is at 7.0.0.7, please install SDK fixpack 7. For IM to be in synch with WAS, WAS and SDK fixpack levels should match.

Installing .Net Framework 1.1 SP1 leads to error "WindowsUpdate_E0434F4D"

When installing .Net Framework 1.1, the SP1 cannot be installed under Vista. Using Windows Update I get "WindowsUpdate_E0434F4D", doing it manually as administrator will result in "SLC542.tmp has stopped working".
This does not depend on whether I activated UAC or not.
I have no possibility to repair the framework 1.1, only to uninstall and reinstall, but the problem persists. (sorry, Razzie, but the link doesn't do it for me)
Have you tried the information on this link?
Windows Update Failed ā€“ Detailed Error Code ā€œE0434F4Dā€
I personally ran into this problem because of preinstalled software on my HP notebook. Reinstalling Windows without it and then installing .net myself (and afterwards installing all the HP provided software) solved the problem.
Do not install the .Net Framework 1.1 with SP1 from the HP Tools DVD for Vista.
