I'm on a Mac. I've got a simple Perl script that uses WWW::Mechanize::Firefox to pull up a web page.
The script works perfectly when Firefox is already open and running on my computer. Here's the line the creates the object:
my $mech = WWW::Mechanize::Firefox->new(
launch => '/Applications/Firefox.app'
);
However, when Firefox is shutdown and I run the script, I get the following error:
exec failed: Permission denied at /Library/Perl/5.12/MozRepl/RemoteObject.pm line 463
at /Library/Perl/5.12/MozRepl/RemoteObject.pm line 463
What do I do to give the perl script permission to launch Firefox?
Try:
my $mech = WWW::Mechanize::Firefox->new(
launch => '/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox'
);
/Applications/Firefox.app is the application wrapper and is a directory that contains the various files that make up the application. The file at Contents/MacOS/firefox within the application wrapper is the main executable of the application.

I'm running a shell script before I try to run a local copy of my meteor app. It supposed to stop my application from interacting with other APIs. When I run the script (I'm on a mac) through my terminal, it returns '0' which as I read means that there are zero errors. I know that the error message is guiding me to certain lines of code, but I don't understand why I would change them if my co-worker could get his copy up and running. He is running his application on a windows computer. Thank you. I'm pretty new to this.
It was a permission error just as #thatgibbyguy first suggested. I was able to run it buy using sudo meteor to override the permission restrictions. I wasn't about to remove my mongod.lock file since that my coworker had the file and was able to get it up and running.
I am launching appium server through terminal by command appium and in another terminal I run my test suite python test.py This works fine.
But if launch through python script I get error between 2 tests
def setup(self):
subprocess.Popen('appium', shell=False)
time.sleep(5)
desired_caps = dict()
desired_caps['platformName'] = 'Android'
desired_caps['platformVersion'] = '6.0'
desired_caps['deviceName'] = 'Android Emulator'
desired_caps['app'] = os.path.abspath('test.apk')
self.driver = webdriver.Remote('http://localhost:4723/wd/hub', desired_caps)
return self.driver
error: Couldn't start Appium REST http interface listener. Requested port is already in use. Please make sure there's no other instance of Appium running already.
The error has no effect tests still pass
I tried adding killall node in teardown
def tearDown(self, driver):
self.driver = driver
self.driver.quit()
subprocess.Popen('killall node', shell=False)
but it gives me error
OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory
How can I get rid of error and stop appium server?
Setup is called through launch app -> click some buttons -> call teardown through close app
I'm trying to create a new app with Meteor (this is the first time I've used it on this computer).
When I try and start a new app:
meteor create simple-todos
I'm getting the following error and creating the app fails:
{ [Error: SQLITE_CANTOPEN: unable to open database file]
stack: [Getter] }
And below that I get some other errors:
Error: SQLITE_CANTOPEN: unable to open database file
at Object.Future.wait (/Users/Jack/.meteor/packages/meteor-tool/.1.1.4.2l3p0l++os.osx.x86_64+web.browser+web.cordova/mt-os.osx.x86_64/dev_bundle/lib/node_modules/fibers/future.js:398:15)
I can't find other people having this same issue, so I'm a bit in the dark as to how to debug or fix. Pointers as to how to debug / fix this would be really helpful.
It may be a permission error.
In order to fix this issue, you could try to adjust the permission by running this command:
sudo chown -R $USER ~/.meteor
I have a Ruby script (non-Rails) that connects to a SQL Server database. When run from the command line, it runs fine. When executed via an http request, it generates an error, specifically when opening the DB connection. Something about the combination of the http/SQL methods is failing.
I'm running the script on a machine with: Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit), Ruby 1.9.3p125, Apache 2.2.11. The database is SQL Server 10.0.4000, hosted on a separate (corporate, internal) server.
The script looks something like this:
#!/Ruby193/bin/ruby
require 'win32ole'
...
$qadb = nil
begin
$qadb = SqlServer.new('192.168.100.249', 'qauser', 'password')
$qadb.open('qadb')
rescue
logRegression("Rescued: Unable to access QADB: #{$!}")
end
The SqlServer class is based on David Mullet's code, found at http://rubyonwindows.blogspot.com/2007/03/ruby-ado-and-sqlserver.html (not copied here for brevity).
From the command line, the DB opens fine and I get an expected result from the script. When I call the script via my internal server (http://qatools/getTask.rb) I get the following error in my log file:
Rescued: Unable to access QADB: failed to create WIN32OLE object from `ADODB.Connection'
HRESULT error code:0x8007007e
The specified module could not be found.
I've considered that I might be missing a DLL. Other research led me to ntwdblib.dll -- I tried downloading a copy and placing it in various folders. I've also considered that I might be facing an Apache configuration issue and/or a security/permissions issue but I haven't found any solutions for those that seem to fit my specific problem.
Any ideas?
I am trying to run cellcli on my one of the Exadata Cell Server.
When I login to the Server, I am able to see all the files as expected.
(Like: all_group all_nodelist_group cell_group all_ib_group etc)
When I issue command to start cellcli it gives me error that command not found:
# cellcli
-bash: cellcli: command not found
# which cellcli
which: no cellcli in (/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin)
Any idea what is the location of the cellclie executable on exadata?
Do I need to export any other path to get this command?
cellcli is in /opt/oracle/cell/cellsrv/bin. It should be put in path by /etc/profile.d/cell_env.sh
